Csarmi and Tommy are right- random endgame conversion is absolutely the worst decision that could have been made there. MKing two townies would have been a much better decision. Better still would have been not allowing the quoting of communication that happened off thread, would have prevented the whole thing.

 

It's true that Arsis def started acting differently, but part of this was because he himself admitted on the scumchat that he felt kinda dirty winning because of the Darthe shenanigans. The fact is it would be INSANELY difficult under similar conditions to catch the ONE person that happened to be recruited since they could continue acting like they had been acting, and without an insanely lucky cop role selecting the one who was recruited, town would essentially be lynching on a crapshoot to determine the final scum. You're supposed to use threadplay to determine who the scum are in a game, but a random conversion at the end throws that out the window since all the threadplay up to that point essentially doesn't matter anymore- anyone who was cleared would suddenly be suspicious. POE is useless, any previous cop clears or vetted roles are useless, it's freaking roulette.

 

As for the policy lynch at the end, it's not like a whole group of townies derped there or something. ONE townie pretty much went for it, NotBob, someone who I can see not really having much problem with a policy lynch at lylo if it's on Darthe considering their history together. Besides that 3 scum were on the train since it was 4 to lynch. Can you really try and blame town for that? No Hoof, you can't. And I myself prob would have done the same type of thing were I a townie playing in the game, if I didn't just ragequit completely after the conversion. Again- I'm chalking this one up as a town victory.

 

Not saying town played a perfect game, and things were definitely set up in favor of them winning imo, but yeah they played well enough to win, but had an extremely unusual mod decision deprive them of their victory at endgame. And Yates your role was a bastard cop role anyways

Yeah I wouldnt blame it on Town there at the end, it just became a crapshoot. I wish Tsuki had followed up on my plan to just skip the day phase by voting me though. Woulda been fun.

 

I have no comment on the conversion thing, I am not a mod and have no idea how to balance a game like this much of anything. Regardless it was a great game Mynd, alot of fun and reading the roles it looks amazing.

I thought I was being clear as well. Giving town a chance to pick up on it. Tsuki as well. Oh well, I had fun. I'm not going to complain about anything besides the cheater.

 

 

I don't habe a problem with letting pms be posted. It just meant that fake pm's were allowed/provided. It added another layer of gameplay that I really enjoyed. Mafia wad able to fake claim powers but if thwy didn't have the power they would be caught. Also, made some town look bad especially when they had powers that are usually mafia alinged.

There was so much extraneous crap going on this game that I can't really blame Mynd for any of his decisions, even if I would have made different ones.  The fact that he actually ran the game to the end is extraordinary imo.  I would have seriously considered just ending it and calling it a wash at some point.  Mad props to Mynd for dealing with everything like a champ.
