Hey this is Tom. I have been silenced until EOD2 due to the vile efforts of fruit loop dinguses and am talking through Nolder via shenanigans. I have info from the lynch: Darthe is who he said he was, is Hero aligned, and Songstress is Hero aligned (the result of another of my abilities I won't reveal right now). NotBob used a friendly neighbor type role to contact me. I'm assuming he's town for now given that and his thread play which seems like his typical self. 

 

So that's a lot of reasonably clear players. We now have 7 players on the Darthe wagon who aren't clear and we know 4 of them are scum if the Hallia / Tina power is true.

And I see a lot of recruitment talk ITT. I know that my character personally cannot be recruited but that means there might be traitor/symp characters that the scum team has to search for to add them to the chat. I think with a large scum team there would be something to prevent linking between all of them. It's also possible we have 2 separate scum factions. There's gotta be something going for scum to prevent them all being discovered since town is really strong.

This information gives us a good look at the scum team's numbers actually. If scum knew there was a role that could see how many people were in their lynch, which most people figured out, they wouldn't put all of their players on one train, they'd try to get a middle number. Because of this I actually believe there's 6 or 7 scum, most likely 6 due to number of people in the game, and I'm doubting the recruitment angle more now.

This is concise and accurate and looks like it was very carefully crafted on a QT somewhere. Blegh, I dont know what to think when so many people have read rand as scum here and Ive had him as town most of the game.

 

If you're talking about the formatting, its because I copy and pasted the top half of this from someone who quoted Hally I think?  The formatting continued to my own part.  Idk, sometimes when I go hard I get read as town, other times as scum.

Nice, if there's a vig, we can narrow down this list even faster.  Also, seems as if recruitment is a thing again.  Seeing as four scum are on the train and I don't think that an entire team would put all their scum on one train and I don't think a 6-person scum team would have recruitment, it does seem likely that there's at least a minimum of two third parties (most likely both on the train) or competing scum teams.

There are 4 scum on the train right?  However, scum already suspected there was some sort of seeker role because of what Arsis said, so they wouldn't put all their members on the same train, because when town started going on that list, none of them would be safe.

 

However, if they didn't put anyone on that train, then town would have a gigantic list of clears.

 

Therefore, they had to put a middle amount of scum there.  4 scum seems to me like the middle number, which suggests 6 or 7 scum given the number of people in this game.

 

However, Tommy's information about not being able to be recruited also suggests recruiting.  I doubt that there's 6 to 7 scum that also have a recruiting power so that suggests two possibilities.

 

We have a few (minimum of 2) third parties in that group of 6 to 7 scum.  Since they couldn't coordinate with any other scum, they probably were on the train.

We have two competing scum teams, one maybe smaller and have a chance of recruiting?

I'm having a clearer idea now but your theories seem out there.

Simplest explanation is most likely, that's just the way the votes fell.

There probably wasn't any plan to have X number of scum on a train just in case of sensor abilities.

To suggest rival scum groups or so many third parties says to me you want to send everyone on a wild goose chase.

Darthe is pretty much clear, Marvel has been in a bunch of scenes by now.  I was wrong about his character claim though, I thought he was Rhodes (since he's a BG for Iron Man).

 

 

Disgusting.  Nolder has already explained why scenes mean almost nothing as far as clearing players goes.  And if you had any doubt about that, Mynd's shenanigans with Galactus and Silver Surfer should have pounded it home.  You are scum.  Thanks for spewing Darthe town though.

Nolder explained how Mynd incorporated claims (true and false) into his scene.  He didn't say anything about Mynd writing in random characters beforehand in the hope that someone would later claim it.  And judging from the lynch scene, or no lynch scene I guess, it looks like my logic worked out there better... K two things.  Agree with Vos here that some kind of recruitment could happen, and people like Tommy or Darthe would be perfect.  Especially since a bunch of the characters kind of get cleared by their presence or scenes with them inside.  So recruitment seems plausible.

 

However, I don't like the fact that Vos made that the point of focus for pretty much all of his recent posts.  That's what looks like fearmongering to me, the frequent reminder that we should trust no one.  Just a one-time reminder that recruitment may occur and we need to be careful should be enough.

 

Don't like all the people going "Darthe you're horrible, he was just pointing out you might be mafia, now you call it fearmongering".  Its possible that that is a reason, but there are better reasons and that line of thought is one that scum would jump on once again to provide misdirection if they didn't havea recruitment.

 

Reads like a town post to me atm. Also feeling a bit better about Rand since we're both gunning for Vos.

Will go through the reasonably unconfirmed list and try to make some semblance of an order of suspicion tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on how drained I am after the long and frustrating week. On the bright side I have next Friday off, and my "new" secondhand car may be arriving from Illinois that day, so I will have a much happier week.
