Still disagree. It doesn't matter that he is being open about it - the whole premise is a stretch. Anti-town to want the game to come to you instead of pushing it along? That's weak. I can remember plenty of times I've wanted each to occur, and my alignment was irrelevant.

I would add AJ and Krak to early town leans, make Verb slight and remove Len from scum leans and put him with Verb.  Krak needs to play more but his intro looked good.

Ok, I got back in town last night, but didn't get a chance to get to this game until today. I've spent most of my day catching up actually.

I like it.  You can be town too.  I'm Archimedes from The Sword in the Stone.  There's no reason to not do this since the mod didn't give safe claims to the mafia and disney movies are fairly limiting a field to choose from.

Oh, as far as AJ I thought he came across as town because he seemed confused on who his character was, hence him describing it. (I've never heard of that one myself). Not sure how I feel about his play since this though. (It occurred to me that he could be faking, but I'm thinking that's less likely).

Not any other than a general dislike for pointless claim-fests D1. And also general dislike for "weeeeeeell if you don't wanna claim you got something to hide". I got nothing to hide, but a consensus on "yeah let's all just claim" kind of defies the point of having secret characters, and with the overwhelming possibilities of disney characters out there it's not very likely two people will claim the same character - so I don't see the point, and believe focusing on gameplay is the more pro-town course of action.

 

I had originally quoted this to agree with the bold. Esp in a game where there are no roles. What's the point in mass claiming? Alanna makes a good point about this later on. 

 

Blue: Not if claimed all at once no, but even when mass claiming everyone's coming from different time zones so there's still a chance.

Idk, AJ is obvtown.  The suggestion and claim together were needless risks, even if slight, so it simply has no scum incentive.

I agree with Lee that I'd rather see how people play then focusing on character claims.

 

 

 

1) I think it weird that her claim is a movie title. A movie. Not a character. Thats weird based on the claims weve seen thus far.

2) Cause none of the chars weve seen so far are main characters? Gaston can be argued otherwise but imo hes not a main character in his film.

3) Im not playing dumb on anything. The sheer amount of Disney characters makes it statistically improbable that a fake claim will be another players character. Srs Disney has a /massive/ amount of characters.

Claiming can hurt the town though, because mafia can get points for fake claims.

 

Darthe, you mention that it forces scum to create a claim that may not fit with other claims. But it could also be a way of scum getting townies to give out their characters, which gives the scum of an idea of what kind of characters there are in the game. AJj could have been fishing to get some town to out their characters right away, so he and other mafia can get a better idea of who they should claim. It's a smart move for the beginning of the game, too.

 

Bold: Agreed. The more characters they see claimed gives them a better idea how to get creative with their claim.
