Also, I'm not complaining about the hydras per se, just that from a town perspective, they give scum a larger advantage.

 

 

Unless her playstyle has changed since I last played tummy sticks with her, Red isn't one to bluff a PR if she is Mafia.  She's more about putting others on the offensive.  Having said this, I wouldn't put it past her to do so as mafia if she were about to be lynched, just to see who counterclaims.

 

Here is the thing, if we are wrong about Red and she is indeed a BG, we could lose a valuable role and the scum can experience relief.

What - specifically - makes gives you cause to believe her role claim is legit? Or, do you simply believe all claims? And also, how do you propose Red confirms her role? Challenging question, isn't it? That's why it's a premium scum fake claim.

 

If we let Red live today and no one other than the scum night kill ends up dead, then Lucy has some splainin to do.

Guess I'm not following what you are saying here. There's no scenario where night actions will resolve Red's alignment that doesn't end in Red's death.

I actually am not buying her claim as much anymore.  Little Jon or whoever she claimed seems like a very obscure.  Was he part of the red wedding?  Bodyguard roles are valuable because they typically protect an even powerful role.  Don't recall any bodyguards doing much protecting at the red wedding though...

 

I do trust Red's scumhinting when she's town.  So far, the only thing that I see questionable at this point is her claim.  As I said before, she could be fake claiming but it doesn't mean she's scum either.  I've fake claimed as a vanilla townie before to throw the scum off and 60% of the time it has worked every time.  Other than that, she seems to be doing what everyone else is doing.  Difference is, people are going after her so she will naturally be defensive. 

 

She could be scum, but she hasn't done anything prior to the fake claim to warrant as many votes as she has gained.  I smell a rotten bandwagon.

 

From a strength of gameplay perspective, I'd rather keep Mish around in case she is town. I'm not as familiar with Tress but I believe she's a good player too. I'm not sure if "don't lynch strong players on D1 just in case they're having a bad day / let the cops sort them out" is a popular tactic here like it is on 2+2, but I prefer to avoid lynching players on D1 who are known for being strong townies and lynch from the scummy distractions instead. 

 

What is this nonsense? "Mish might be scum but I'd rather keep her around just in case she's town."  You could say that about (almost) everyone.  If she's a good player and SCUM, we want her outta here NOW. 

 

The other part of my WTF is this:  How is she being a better player than anyone else if she's going to bed.

Crayjay (Cory/Andrej) - pinged for how defensive they got over a vote on Tom, and how hard they worked to pressure me to move my vote.  crappy voting reason aside, they started this push before i said why i was keeping my vote there.  this reaction caused me to stay put (that and i wont have my vote bullied off a person just because he's their friend and i dont like to vote hop a lot when the game actually starts).  Cory did not as far as casing me, just tried to insult me off his friends wagon.  AJ took lead on applying the direct pressure.  at first his casing was solid and possibly townish ... but then he started trying to set the lynch up on me and trap me so that no matter how i moved he could continue a case on me.  he also tried to drag back up the distraction convo of discussing what tom meant by Goat. i disliked this and decided to get obstinate at him.  he then tried to spilt his focus at one point by starting up with you (Yates) regaurding your claim.  possibly to continue the push against you after i flip, or possibly becuase he saw i made a good point (though i doubt the latter as he didn't chime in wiht Mynd when he saw Mynd made a good point on Mish)

 

Your stubbornness is inevitably going to be what gets you lynched, so I say good riddance honestly. Your vote change was what initially caught my eye. The player you picked and your reasoning behind it was even worse. But the WORST thing you did? Acting as if you were somehow vindicated because others were pointing out how bad of a play it was and stubbornly keeping it there 'for shitz and gigz'. Yeah, eat rope.

 

How did I try to trap you? I explained pretty clearly how your posts regarding the way you expressed your concern for how your vote change would be perceived doesn't fit with a townie mindset. Most would agree. You could've done something productive with your vote and actually voted elsewhere (like on the person you were calling mafia) but instead you decided to keep it parked on a train that was going nowhere to prove a point that you can't out-bully the bully. Yeah, super pro-town.

As for the sticking to Mishtress part-it is because I felt there was something to go on there. I know I haven't focused on the Red thing, but thats because of most of this happened while I was asleep and I was out all day today with my phone dead. I'm gonna look at it now.

 

What I see of your reads-you have basically fos'd and called scum everyone who has played attention to your posts. Cloud, me and wombat with other scum leans. Zanube for one has so far 2 posts, but just basing that for a scum read is pretty wrong in my book. As I recollect, so far I think all she has played was one game so far. But using meta for their activeness is not right IMO. There is no way to judge how and why a person would choose to be active/inactive. Power loss or internet being down for a few days is enough. So no, I don't agree with your assesment. I rather choose not to assess Des's meta. I have just been mafia once with him and his town play was extremly similar.
