As soon as the others had all snuggled deep into their merry sleep, a few select individuals got up for their mischievous nightly shenanigans. They slowly tiptoed around the room, careful not to disturb the other individuals that were still asleep. They finally arrived at their target for the night, and gathered around him as they snickered softly to one another. Pulling out their tools, they began to set to work.

 

One of them pulled out a big 'ol Sharpie and started drawing strange images and drawings all over the unknowing victim's face. He added whiskers, big bushy eyebrows, and even an evil looking little curly moustache! The next individual was applying generous amount of whipped cream to their target's hands, while the other used the same feather from earlier to tickle the soundly sleeping one till he had whipped cream all over himself ( )

 

Lastly they pulled out the piece of resistance, a big bowl of warm water. Barely able to stifle their laughter at this point, they quickly set the bowl in position and took their poor unsuspecting prey's hand, and set it in the water. Listening for that tell-tale trickle, they finally started running back towards their own bed, giggling the whole time.

 

Moments later, the lock on the door started jostling unlocked, and the door opened and Despothera flicked on the lights.

 

"Wakey wakey, eggs 'n bakey everyone! Time to wake up from your Nappytime! We have a big day ahead of us, so let's go ahead and--- Oh GAWD! What is that smell???"

 

As everyone started shifting from their covers, Nervositee finally opened his eyes. Or rather, eye. One eye couldn't open, because it was caked shut with cream. As he sat up in his cot, everyone started pointing and laughing at his funny little bunny face and whipped cream all over him. Vos unfortunately was not finished with his morning revelations. His eyes slowly moved down towards his bedding, which was soaked through and through, and he slowly began to peel the covers back.

 

His eyes (both of them this time) opened wide with agony as he peered underneath his sheet. There it was, plain as day, a giant yellow stain originating from his nethers. He was covered in his own urine.

 

The look on his face quieted the others, and with panicked anguish he looked up towards Despothera. Despot motioned him over, and he got up, pulling his bedding around him and pigeon-toeing it towards the doorway. Altho he felt sadder than he had in quite some time, he bravely bit his bottom lip to keep the waterworks from turning on (again). Despothera ushered him through the doorway, and closed it after him. The others looked around nervously, wondering who would have done such a cruel thing to their lovely friend.

 

Some time later Despothera returned, with a somber announcement.

 

Vos, Bodyguard, has been Night-Tickled.

The announcement had shaken everyone, as that individual had been meant to protect them later on, and keep them from getting similar treatment. Now there was nothing protecting them at night from the nasty pranksters. The pushpops Despot had handed out had done little to change their mood, even tho they were the Flintstones kind everybody loved. Finally Despothera realized just what could help cheer some of them up as they began their new day.

 

"I have another announcement everyone. There was one person who got more hugs in the middle of the night than anyone else, and I would now like to announce that individual. Darthe, would you step forward please?"

Darthe was off in the corner fiddling around with himself so didn't notice at first, but after a couple pokes and hurried whispers from others he slowly started to get up and shuffle forward, trepidation clear in his eyes. He finally got to the front where Despot was, and slowly turned around to look meekly at the others.

 

"Darthe, for being everyone's FAVORITE hugging target, I present you with your reward today: First, a big fluffy unicorn!"

 

 

"Next, a beautiful princess hat for you... well okay, I figured it would be a female that would get the most hugs. Go figure. Here you go anyways."

 

Ignoring the look on Darthe's face, Despot handed him the hat to wear.

 

 

"Hey, it's purple, that's gender neutral... right? Okay well anyways I'll let yall get back to your business again. Play nice, and I'll be back later with your stickers!"

 

With that, Despothera strode out of the room, leaving Darthe behind with his princess hat on and big fluffy unicorn rumpled on the floor beside him. Everyone looked around for a bit before shrugging and starting to think of who they should tickle next.

I really don't like Vos' following on X's train... But it does tell me that it's pretty unlikely Cloud and Vos are teammates, and that's something.

 

Darthe why aren't you willing to vote for Xthrax?

 

X was at 3 votes, and Cloud wanted to push Darthe to place a fourth... Why? According to himself the train on X was to get the game started; you'd think three votes were enough for that... Pingy.

 

Are you seriously going to push for a happy ending? What makes you believe that the mafia team will withhold their NK's? I understand that there is a statistical advantage in doing that, but I have never heard of it being done before on DM and I don't think that anyone here would agree with it because it is a stupid way to "play" the game.

Darthe - pushing some sort of unrealistic for DM scenario delaying the game or really thinking aloud about its mechanics? I am not supporting the No Lynch idea but what really makes impression is the fact this is not a Mafia game but a Mafia event. So there will be surprises. Nevrtheless, I still think the NA of everyone sending huggs is the difference, not everyone just posting No Lynch.

 

Cloud - sounds too desperate to understand why Darthe claims he was scum + sucking up to the Mod how no Lynch might hurt Despo's hard work and feelings. This pings to me

 

Leelou - nudging people to vote for Darthe

I've played 1 game with you and I don't know your style. Especially since you were a third party there. Self meta defense from slight pressure by only one player.... I think someone is ticklish!

Mish, this is our second game with Vos and besides, during our 1st game with him, this was a topic we discussed - that I don't like putting votes unless I have strong evidence. And if this is your evidence - me being a SK in a game months ago, go on. But that is not scum hunting, it is nothing at all.

 

I can put an OMGUS vote on you right away but I want to first try to find more clues. For me it doesn't make sense putting senseless votes.

 

Better help town by saying what do you think about the others.

 

 

First of all, for AJ and Hallia's sake; here's the reasons I actually voted Dora.

 

And her reply doesn't make me feel any better. And again she tries to turn the table on the person questioning her; first it was Vos, now me. Seems to me like she's jumpy and reacts poorly to pressure and is desperate to turn the attention over to someone else.

 

I just did a quick read through, I'll do ISO's and have better reads either tonight or tomorrow morning. 

 

1. Darthe - started the no lynch and brought up the happy ending scenario. Not really fond of this idea since I don't see the point in playing then. This is labeled as a basic game with one of 3 open set ups. Null to slight scum right now. 

2. Xthrax - has had some early pressure, mostly ignoring it until poked about it. Null

3. AJ - 7 posts, 3 votes. Trying to force the game to get serious with band wagoning. Null to slight scum read. 

4. Halliapoopoohead - Hallia, are you there? Null

5. Peace - seems to be on course for how he plays so far. Seeing town play right now. 

6. Theo - has given some reads, trying to move out of joke phase, leaning townish

7. Pray - 3 posts - memes and smileys. No game play. Null 

8. Cloud - I really would like to see what Darthe thinks is scummy play from Cloud. I'm not seeing it, leaning town on him. 

9. Mish - I still have a hard time reading Mish, she's one of the players I find scummy, however, her going after Theo for using meta is more null to town. 

10. Vos - don't think I've had the pleasure of playing with you yet, but seems to want to see an end to the fluff and game play. town to null

11. Verb - spammy <3 neutral until I see game play out of him

 

People I'd feel comfortable tickling: Darthe, AJ and to a lesser extent: X and Pral. 

 

I might move my vote after ISOing everyone, but right now this is where I stand. 

 

I like this post, and Leelou in general so far; the effort she is putting in gives me a solid town lead on her so far.

 

Well I would argue against there not being any reason to withhold your votes as town, but you are right for the most part and I like the rest of your post.

 

 

 

 

I didn’t see anything for him to react to other than point out how lame the train on him was, which he did. So you are saying that if he started throwing out accusations against us that were based on 7 pages of fluff he would have looked more townie to you? I find that difficult to believe.

 

I’m defending him for his first post because I didn’t find anything scummy about it. I didn’t choose him to be the train because I had a scum read on him; I did it because he is the least experienced player in this game and I wanted to see how he would react to pressure and then figure out if he is town or scum based on those reactions. His response to the train on him didn't seem scummy to be although I did get the feeling that his jokingly response seemed forced, but I can be easily mistaken in that as I haven’t played with him before and I don’t know him at all. I have him as a null read at the moment. I'm asking you all these questions because I'm interested in reading your answers.

So Cloud said he had a null read on X, but keeps his vote on him, making him stay the leading train for a very long time.

Mish's attack seems a little unprovoked here. Granted, iirc Theo is speaking of the 1 game her and Vos have played together in which she was scum. So using that meta as a defense for not placing a vote is a little sketchy IMO.

 

 

 

 

 

I don't see Theo trying to FOS Vos. She just said that he should know her play style. The quotes are there to see so I'm not sure how you are coming to this conclusion. I also disagree with the second statement about how a townie shows their alignment by throwing their votes around. Too generalized for my tastes and it also comes across as an easy reason to FOS someone. 'Oh, you're holding your vote? You must be scum.'

 

Mish's attack on Theo came across as pretty unprovoked in defense of Vos. I also dislike her counter-reasoning to Theo's wish to hold her vote. It's too broad of a statement and isn't true by any means. To me it comes across as one of those things scum will say to have an excuse to vote someone. It's up the same alley as saying only scum set-up spec D1 or only scum vote without giving a reason, etc. I'm not really tracking on Theo's vote towards Peace because I don't see any contradictions from him but her early observations were good IMO. She seems to be pushing for more content which gives me a town lean.

First of all, the green: "pretty unprovoked". Tell me AJ; shouldn't I point out/post/vote when I see things that are sketchy? It might not have seemed important to you... It did to me, so I will point it out. Using words like "unprovoked" is just trying to make your case seem stronger than it is. Also, you use my reasoning for not holding votes as a reason to paint me scummy, and says it comes across as an excuse scum will use to vote someone. Well, 1; it wasn't why I voted her... And 2; you are doing the exact same thing, so by your words, you are scummy!

 

In general, your reason for voting me is weaksauce, especially since you buildt a stronger case on Leelou (although I don't agree with that case either) and then you end up voting your weaker case. Tsk.

When you quoted me you skimmed over the sentence where I said that the way he jokingly responded to the train on him seemed forced to me, and chained the previous sentence where I said I voted for him to see how he would react to the train on him with the sentence where I said that I can be easily mistaken about his jokingly tone because this is the first time I have played with him. It should have been clear what I said to everyone who actually had an interest to read what I had to say instead of only searching for a way to paint me as scum.

 

Yes, It was a genuine question and I was also biased in my opinion when I asked you that but does it matter? You said that you hoped X would have reacted more by for example making some sort of comments on the three of us. What sort of comments did you expect from him when there wasn’t any gameplay going on? What could he have responded with that he already didn't do for you to get a town read on him? You first say that I already gave the answer, and then you start defending yourself and accusing me of misinterpreting you on purpose by saying that I should have known that you didn’t mean it like that. So which one is it? You can’t have it both ways. And finally how am I supposed to know what you did or did not mean if you don’t write it down in a post? I can’t read your mind dude. You are accusing me of things you are clearly guilty of doing yourself which is hypocritical. You defended yourself in the exact same way in the Blood Moon game where you were mafia.

First off: Cloud again hammers in the fact that he doesn't think, or has ever thought, X is scummy (but he still kept his vote on him up until this point). And then he turns around and places a vote on Vos, a vote he has been building up to quite a while.

 

 

See X also understood what I said regarding Peace and I haven't heard about anyone else besides you and Vos accusing me of attacking X in that way.

 

And to answer your question: Does it matter where I choose to place my vote if I don't have a clear scum read yet? I had a null read on you so it was a good place as any. You weren't going to get lynched anytime soon because of the train that was building up on you.

 

 

And here he finally answers X... And says X wasn't going to get lynched anytime soon. How did he now? He could have woken up to find X lynched during the night and and then it'd be partially his responsibility for keeping a vote on X without even thinking him mafia. He could only know that... If he knew parts of the mafia were already on the lynch and no townies had shown alot of interest in the train. Ping.

 

Ok I'm caught up again. I basically WTL either Vos or X at this point of the game. Darthe might also be a good scum candidate depending on his answer to my question. 

 

 

 

 

And now he's willing to lynch X... But he said he doesn't find X scummy, and does nothing to explain why he's willing to lynch him now.

1. I haven't seen him adjusting his reads as he had X as his scum read for the majority of the game by now.

It's pretty simple actually. I didn't find anything scummy about X's response to the train on him, but his later cases did ping to me.

 

And NOW suddenly X is pinging him, even though he had a post very recently where he said X was a null read and that he didn't find him scummy.

After re-reading most of D1, the self-meta with barely any pressure stood out to me.  Tbh, I initially skipped over it because of how new Dora is playing here, but looking back at some of her posts, she seems to have a strong grasp on mafia.....making this post stand out even more.
