Ok so I've had several players confused about the good guys vs. bad guys. I don't know if ya'll didn't read the scene in the sign-up thread or if I just did a horrible job explaining, lol. So let's try again!

 

Shadowhunters are humans, with the blood of the angel Raziel in them. They are warriors, they use runes and angelic blades to fight demon, and the occasional Downworlder gone bad. Their goal is to keep demons away from the Earth, to keep it safe for humans and Downworlders. The Downworlders are vampires, werewolves, faeries, and warlocks (mermaids, pixies and other breeds have been mentioned, but not seen on-screen). They Shadowhunters and Downworlders live by the Accords, a peace treaty with rules and regulations. There will always be some Downworlders who try to sneak past the Accords, and then it's the Shadowhunters job to hunt them down and stop them. But neither group are truly good or bad guys when it comes to relations to each other. The Accords must be re-signed every 15 years to refresh the magic in it.

 

Now, some 15-16 years before the book story starts, there was a small group of Shadowhunters, the Circle, who hated Downworlders, and wouldn't allow them to live side by side with Shadowhunters. They rebelled against the system, killing as many Downworlders as they could, and trying to disrupt the signing of the Accords. These guys are our mafia, and so the Downworlders are our town. Get it? ;)

If by chance it does pick up, I have to take my oldest to the dentist for a check-up today, so after this I may get quiet for little. I can't check mafia from my phone because I will make a mistake or something and I don't want to get killed because of my phone...

I don't find it weird that Aidanna wants us to know that she won't be around but I do find the bolded interesting.  Why would you be afraid to make a mistake and get killed?  Especially day one?
