GE at least showed some conviction with his Pral vote, although it wasn't helping majority.

I like the observation on Verb.

Going after inactives on Day One isn't good play 99% of the time. Save that crap for mid- to end-game.

Here, I'll put it in a context you can understand, Ishy.

You have statistics to thank every time you drink that nice stout.

Pretty cool, I've always liked brewing my own stuff too. It usually doesn't turn out well, but sometimes it does so I'll share it out. If my day job doesn't pan out I can go into business selling my home brew lol.

I could vote GE, Pray or BFG. All three seemed content to see that we didn't secure a lynch yesterday.

I joined yesterday. I had null reads on both people being voted on. Are you suggesting I should vote one out just to vote somebody out? And that's not being sarcastic, I would actually appreciate some insight.

Is this some sort rule that's generally accepted? I've seen you say this on multiple occasions now and I don't see how voting on a shaky day one read is more valid that removing an inactive. You say people who don't post are scummy and that a lot of scum like to hide and post sporadically. How is someone not showing up to play not scummy by extension?

Uh... If youre saying youre abusing your meta, then how is Cloud not coming "correct"? You didn't correct him about your meta, you accepted the meta read as spot on but dismissed it.

Vote Verbal

You didn't understand my meaning.  That's ok, it happens to some people.  Re-read it again, and assume that I'm town when I wrote it.  Enjoy.  ;-)

Thinking more on Des' little case/vote on me......wow.  He missed the point so completely, that I have to think it was intentional.  I just re-read it myself, and damn.....it is obvious what I meant.  Just a terribad case & vote by Des.  Reaching scum.

 @ both of these posts.

For some reason anytime I try and picture Des I just get an image of a spider monkey flinging feces arbitrarily, shrieking and pointing. He's quite frenetic.

Quite frenetic AND awesome at catching scum. Get it right.

Ishy is right on both accounts. Voting an outlier right before a lynch is antitown, cause you're pretty much throwing your vote away and showing an unwillingness to help secure a lynch. It's almost always better to make sure a lynch is secured before deadline than not, since even mislynches can be useful for town. Missed lynches tho, as in where we don't obtain a majority, usually serve as a big distraction the next day, and generally rob the town of info that it desperately needs.

As far as inactivity, I agree that it's generally antitown, however going after one is counterproductive and possibly very risky. It's counterproductive because you're less likely to get good info- the inactive might not even respond to your vote, and if they're scum will likely just get bussed if it comes down to it. And it's risky because it could lead to either a mislynch on a PR, very bad, or outing a PR who was trying to lay low to escape scum attention (which isn't a good strategy imo, but that's a diff discussion).

Darthe flipping town makes me less sure of Hoof, was sure they were teammates. Verbal still looks mighty scummy to me tho, and his flippant responses to me don't come close to making me feel better about him.

Vote Verbal.

I think I cut myself off before I was finished bout the inactives thing- I still don't like inactive players, and would support lynches on them, but on Day 1 town needs as informative of a lynch as it can get, which won't really happen by lynching an inactive.

Speaking of which, Pray and BFG REALLY need to get their heineys in here and add their thoughts, barely remember anything from them this game.

I liked the point made about Verbal pushing an early lynch, and Cloud calling him out on it.

Still feel good about the Cloud lynch.

His 'fake' QT post was just terribad.

Standby for the inevitable 'it was a joke' statement.

Pushes Cloud lynch

So let's kill then?

His quick turnaround vote to Blackhoof is also bad, IMO.

Pushes Cloud lynch even more, and refers to his vote on me as a "quick turnaround", which it wasn't, really.

Maybe worth a vote.

vote Andrej

Vote: Verbal

Has Verbal done anything besides defending himself with meta, picking fights, and asking for a deadline early D1?

I'm the one that started the train on Cloud.  You've been talking about statistics for the last 3 pages and using a Thesaurus for some nice vocab words.

And I didn't defend with meta - I warned against using it.  Damn, did you skip over that part, too?  I get that Des missed it....but I'm surprised you did.  Wombat missing easy details = scumtell.  Just sayin'.

Is everybody going to simply gloss over that whole exchange?  I feel like the only one playing this game with me was Darthe, who's now dead.  Now you people are making me say I miss Darthe.  You hear that?!

If you insist on running me up to reveal, please allow me to do so before blind lynching.  Don't be lazy townies.

FTR, I like Hoof for scum right now - nudge my train without actually jumping on it.  Nice distance to the scum that is on it (Wombat & Des are not both townies)......good work.

OMGUS a little more Verbal, it feels so yummy. And <3 the fearmongering about getting blind lynched, love that too, especially considering your recent track record for when you think it's a good time to claim.

Right now, you are within your scum meta like it's a well-fitting glove. The whyme fryme. The fluff. The "helpful townie". The self meta defense. The evading cases made against you.

Just die.

Message to all games: I'm now off work for 4 days, so I might be a little less active than normal, but will be back at work monday night.

The only person I know who has less time to play mafia when he's not working.

Sorry man, family time is family time. And when I'm off on my long breaks I usually catch up on a lot of errands and chores that are harder to do when you're working third shift.
