What I mean to say is that my level of commitment is very high indeed (as you would have seen in my games so far), but there's still no way I'd have stayed through all night... and I done some serious stuff.

I've done stuff like that before. Just ask Despo about Wotopoly. Heck, 2-3 times I spent ~4+ straight hours crafting an intricate full-proof fake claim just to win. It is noteworthy that I've almost always been scum in these instances, though I did spend an unhealthy amount of time trying to win Darthe/Wombat's 3-in-1 game.

I didn't think about that, actually. :-)

Being around close to deadlines (if at all possible) is just something I find natural.

If there is no lynch secured, the correct playing behaviour (for me) is to be around in case your input is needed (or giving your input on time then make it clear you won't be there). This has nothing to do with alignment, this is just common courtesy in my book. I'm playing with 10+ people, I respect them with adding my play. That's all.

I've been playing a lot of online games. For some of that, I needed to set alarms at night to do my attacks and such. There were instances when I had to coordinate a whole war (25 people) for 2 weeks 24/7), so yea I could be pretty hardcore. But I'm a working man now, skipping a whole night is harder. I guess I could stand staying up through the night once or twice for maffia, I believe I done it before already (sleep in the evening, do my programming job at night and keep checking the thread), but I'm getting ooooooooold.

I don't really have time right now but wanted to clarify something about the messed up vote counts: I'm doing my best, but sometimes mobile adds things I didn't put. That's what happened. There are no voting shenanigans, just a tired mod who's doing her best. I have a job, a baby, an upcoming wedding. Not an excuse, just saying sometimes though I try hard, things get messed up. I'll do my best to fix/make sure it doesn't happen again.

Right now my biggest scum reads are probably on Tress and Red. Tress is subject to why me fry me a not this game, and seems VERY self conscious about how her actions will make her look. Guilty conscience much, Tress? 

 

Well that's an interesting characterization.  I happen to disagree.  

 

The only times I've prodded people to explain their position on me were Ishy on D1 (and that was primarily to give him hell for voting me using my full screen name) and Red for her vague wording about finding it "interesting given my claims" that I hadn't commented yet on D2.  Red was specifically because I was beginning to find her suspicious and wanted to pin down her thought process.

 

Do you find it interesting that she hasn't posted at all in over 60 hours?  I'm still waiting for her answer.

 

As for my statement about how my actions will look, that was a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't moment.  It was less than 12 hours to deadline. I had town reads on both of the major trains, and I wanted to vote someone I actually felt was more likely mafia. If I had voted Red without that acknowledgement, first thing that would have happened is someone would have called me out on voting an outlier with less than 12 hours to deadline and accused me of trying to derail a lynch. You know it would have. I preempted that, but I also knew that saying something to preempt it would cause people to call me out for being too concerned about how it looked.

 

If I was scum and really concerned about how my actions came across, by the way, I would have just found a plausible reason to vote for Mish or Peace, because that would have been the only thing I could do that wouldn't attract attention to that post.

 

You think I'm self-conscious about how I'm coming across?  Defending myself too much?  A'ight.  I play this how I play this from here on out, and if I choose to ignore every single statement made about me until I'm lynched, y'all can call me scummy for not addressing people's cases on me.  Fact is that a few people have made up their minds that I'm mafia (and a few mafia have made up their minds that I'm a good lynch target) and between the confirmation bias and the manipulative scum, I'll be on the block again, no doubt (OH NO, AtE!!!!!!  IT'S SCUM, KILL IT!).  And then y'all can blame me for my own lynch because OH MY GOSH I WAS SO SCUMMY.  You know you want to.

 

Is this enough of an AtE rant?  Blame that time of the month or not enough sleep or whatever.  Pick your poison.  Oh hey, if I was concerned about how I was coming across, would i have posted this? WIFOM enough for you?
