Lol I told you Kaylee. Time and time again.

Unconventional play =/= scum IMO. A lot of the stuff I put out that you thought "weren't Town" were actually in our best interests. I really should've unvoted Lenlo that last day and let it go random. I was so unsure of him though because of his silence. Ugh lol

@BFG - Well played. I wish I would've had 4 mentors my first game  No but seriously there were only two times I got bad vibes from you. On D2 when you made that commentary about me voting Des over Yates really struck me. And then the hammer last Night. Probably the clearest scum move you pulled all game :)

Posted

@Kaylee Also, you weren't supposed to nab me, you were supposed to nab a wolf :)

And, yeah, random vote was a townish move. I was just arguing to sow confusion. I wouldn't have gone random since i was scum but I was expecting AJ to actually go for it.

Word.

Time for awards!

Town MVP: You didn't have one.

Scum MVP: BFG

Wolf MVP: you both played well but Ill give this to Verb.

Funniest player: AJ

Thought I did well. I made it to the end, nailed Yates and helped nab Pral. Totally thought BFG was town. Who was the last town? Scum? Wolf?

You did you just kept going at the wrong people :p. It happens

AJ wasn't playing as a townie. Acting confirmed town when your not is a scum tactic I've seen used successfully too many times to ignore.

Pral: I thought I was nabbing a wolf. I thought either you or AJ was wolf. If i knew for sure then I would've voted that way.

Well then! Strange way to win, but I'll take it!

:cool::hopper:

And, I am damn surprised how Des didn't get lynched after the Yates reveal. His AtE post was a dead give away. When I woke up in the morning, I couldnt believe my eyes seeing Lenlo lynched ! That was the turning point

Actually I more often AtE when facing a steep lynch on myself when town than when I'm scum. I do this on purpose so that I can occassionally abuse my meta.

Just reading the Wolf QT. Wow, you got Mish by sheer luck!! I thought you figured her out, lol

Had an inkling, which is why we listed her first in potential targets.  And then submitted on her, but wasn't 100%.  It is easier to look in hindsight and see that it was obvious.  At the time, I could see the hints, but I've played plenty of games with Mish, and was WIFOMing myself on whether she'd do that.

In the end, luck certainly played a part.

Tbh, I was actually thinking it was more direct wifom from her part. Had defended AJ throughout the day, I figured she was acting all outraged to try and keep him from getting NK'ed. I was leaning more towards killing AJ till I thought it through more and saw that it was almost def a bluff.

So I think we got fairly lucky with that, yeah.

 welcome! You did fine :D

More than fine - she did excellent.  I was between her and Kaylee for other town.  Only knew AJ was.  Nice job.

Thanking you both.

I sort of had you pegged, but had no case...  I definitely need to work on case building

Pegging is half the battle.  Getting the town to follow you on lynches is what distinguishes you from the crowd.  Like Leelou said, it comes with experience.

Aye, BFG you did great. I thought you and Kaylee were last townies hehe. On their point; if you prove yourself a competent scumhunter a couple of times, people are more willing to follow your lead. So don't be afraid to be vocal, but always keep in mind that what you say can be used against you as well.

Good game, Des you did well as I thought you just might be town.

Thanks Kay!

Unconventional play doesn't = scum necessarily, but it can still often hurt town. Unconventional play often serves as a distraction, and keeps town from ferreting out true scum. Not saying you always have to go by the books, but it should be understood that there is a big risk to unconventional play. Ask EP

That's true. This game was a lot different than your typical one though, which is why I threw out so many unconventional ideas. I would never advocate a random lynch normally, but it totally fit in this game. And asking the Mafia to claim at LYLO? Lol... yeah. I should've seen Kaylee as Town because she was strongly on her meta for that but the way she kept coming in after the NKs really pinged for me. I sucked it up this game... so sorry to my team for screwing up their play. I was so back and forth with most of the players when I was trying to piece together the teams that I really was just WIFOMing myself in the end.

Posted

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I had actually been considering doing exactly what you did, asking the mafia to out themselves, in order to get more town cred hehe. You beat me to the punch!

Posted

Yeah, I figured it would become a giant WIFOM debate but I was going to see who jumped at the opportunity most quickly. Pretty much the options were either to claim and help Town kill the wolves, or wolves win. We know how that worked out  @ Darthe lol

That was the plan anyway. I was planning to reveal as mafia until I realised BFG was getting some heat and I didn't trust the town to lynch wolf :D

Except at that point, the obvious thing would be for wolves to claim as mafia, since they just need someone else to die, essentially you'd have to decide if it was the truth or a bluff, so not sure it would help, except it might (if mafia, wolves claimed and town didn't) reveal you and Kaylee to each other...

I'm more intrigued as to what you'd have done/thought if Verb 'hammered' before Darthes reveal.

Pral: I thought I was nabbing a wolf. I thought either you or AJ was wolf. If i knew for sure then I would've voted that way.

Come on, Kay. There was no way I would have killed Hallia as wolf. I thought that slip by Des gave it away.

Don't think that was a "slip" at all. I think it's easier to make the argument that you would have killed her as part of a frame job, instead of you NOT killing her because she was on your side. You didn't exactly catch a ton of heat throughout the game, going for self-preservation instead of setting up the next day's lynch wouldn't have been as good of a move. Just because you think you never would have killed Hallia doesn't mean others wouldn't be able to see you doing so.

It doesn't make sense at all.

Verb, AJ and Kay were all suspicious of me and I was voting you. There was no way I would have managed to push away votes with Hallia dead  (which is exactly what happened ). If Hallia was alive, I would have her, me and my partner on you and I would just have had to convince one more (Kay thought me as scum, so she would have had to account my partner vote as well). You could have made an argument of frame job for Yates killing but bringing Hallia into the picture threw it all out.

It wasn't the unconventional play...it was insisting that you were confirmed town. That to me reeked.

This...Your buddying AJ made me think you two were wolves. The Hally kill meant nothing to me as I was so busy with RL i didn't take it into consideration. I just knew I was locked in on you and AJ. Though I was wrong on where you both stood. Meh, happens. It was fun mostly.

Good game wolfies.

That was fun. To my Townies: Sorry :/

Were you seriously town?! You weren't playing like it.

Yes, he was.  I'm gonna disagree with everyone on this, apparently.  AJ was the most obvious town in the group.  From my POV as a wolf, I needed to scumhunt mafia and separate them from town.  I was 100% on AJ as town......so if I can see it, others could too.
