I'm not sure when DL is but I don't want anyone to surprise hammer.

 

I'm really back and forth on you Des. Sometimes I think you're Town and then other times I'm more or less sure you are not. It has a lot to do with the way you word certain things, but whatever.

 

I agree with you on the Town reads on BFG and Verb. That puts the remaining four as me, those two, and you possibly. I'm solid with BFG and Verb, and knowing I am Town, leaves one slot. I keep going back and forth on you, Kaylee and Pral.

 

I'm pretty solidly convinced that Lenlo and Hallia are scum though. They've been laying low and that sort of behavior would do well for the werewolves considering both other teams would be looking for them as they have the only kill abilities. And for the record I did consider the NK as a way to set you up, but at the same time, the wolves would know they have to kill mafia as well if they want to win. IE: kill your biggest scum read in the night. Food for thought. That's another thing that sort of made Kaylee look a bit bad IMO. Not to mention her coming out with the "I knew he was scum!" at day break.

 

I'm going to sheep Verb since I have the strongest Town read on him besides BFG.

I'm going to reread Day 1 again later, but from memory the thing started by Cloud calling AJ a werewolf because of the scum 'slip'.  As such, he wasn't be dodging the question, as he'd already answered, but I do need to reread and check.  For now I'm happy with where my vote is, but will also consolidate on Lenlo.  At the moment the only other votes are on Hallia and AJ, as I keep changing my mind about them I'd rather not vote there just yet.

Hmmm. Not sure what to think bout that vote switch. On the one hand, backpedaling from a vote usually looks pretty suspect to me, and it's weird that you say that your read on me has changed, when I mostly remember you continuously thinking I was on one of the scum teams. Then again, if you were scum, you could have kept your vote on me without looking that questionable. Soooo... gonna give you the benefit of the doubt for now.

 

Don't have quite as strong a scum read on Lenlo as I do Hallia, but I agree with you that both seem pretty scummy to me, and it looks like it might end up being me or Lenlo today.

@BFG: Yes, as I mentioned, Cloud ended up pointing out how he had originally said he thought AJ a wolf. I was mistaken about that point. Wouldn't have mattered much, at that time the only other person I had thought about voting was Mish, and yeah that wouldn't have worked out anyways. Like I said, town had a rough day 1. Wasn't a whole lot to go on.

I don't like this push on AJ. It would be suicidal to make that play as wolf or mafia. The easiest explanation is he's town. Personally, I'm more interested in Pralaya and Lenlo. My interactions with them yesterday were largely one-sided, especially Lenlo.

I've spent some time trying to figure out the advantages of this as a Town, mafia or werewolf, and although out of the three I think Town is more likely, I'm not willing to rule out the alternatives.

The Pro-Town argument has been made, for a VT to draw the NK would be better then losing the seer, however to me it would be more Town to make this gambit on Night 2 or 3.  On Night 1 there was a 1/9 chance they'd hit the seer, unless there were tells that I missed prior to AJs gambit (if there were please tell me).  But in Night 2 it would be a 1/7 or 1/8 (if we'd managed to get a werewolf), by Night 3 a 1/5 or 1/6 (I think). 

 

 

I agree 100%.  Would have been better to wait, but that doesn't make it an anti-town play.  You were one of a couple people I haven't been able to get reads on, but now I feel like you're thinking in the same way I am.

 

I'm still leaning scum on Pralaya.  Admittedly, some of his recent posts ring town to me, but I can't shake that gut feeling I had a couple game days ago.  I'll revisit this.

I'm still happy with my vote on AJ, I really think he's scum. Pral's recent posts don't read as town to me...for one, as I and Des have now pointed out, the continued ignore/not realizing after being pointed out that a random isn't that useful as far as information. As we're getting lower in town numbers more information is vital to winning. Also, why answer for AJ? That just makes it look like their working together. Also as Des pointed out, his making the drawing the NK seem like he's vetted VT just doesn't sit right. 

 

Some good points have been brought up about Len as being scum. Hally I haven't gotten a good read on because my focus has been elsewhere to be honest I'd have to look more into that. For now I'm focusing on where I feel stronger and that's AJ and Pral.

 

I'm also unsure on Verb.

We seem to agree on Pral, but not on AJ.  Honestly, I'm going with the easiest explanation - Occam's Razor.  He's been pretty consistent from the start, which is not something that is easy for scum to do (and by scum I mean either mafia or wolf).  Pral hasn't been as consistent, which is probably why some folks are suspicious of him.

 

Des is another that seems a little inconsistent, but he's been much quieter than the norm for him, so I wonder if that AtE post a page or so back was indeed genuine.  Another I'll need to revisit - we can't let him get to endgame if he's scum and finds his stride with smooth talking.

 

 

But the purpose of this post is to toss in my 2 cents on the 'random' issue:  while not as strong as a town-driven lynch, it is still a decent chance (in this game) to hit scum, and therefore good for town -- the coroner report would have given us the ability to look back and see how the dead player interacted with others, and where they were on vote trains, yadda yadda.  You said it "isn't that useful".  I'd argue it is useful, just not "as" useful.  Maybe I'm getting into too much semantics on this......

I don't think you really do feel he's as scummy.  It looks to me like you're desperate to have another train as high as yours to try and keep yourself from getting lynched, and since I wasn't going anywhere, there was Len.

Straight after the bit you quoted I said that not waiting didn't necessarily make it an anti-town play.  I'm not sure I agree that It has to be a town gambit, which seems to be what you're saying?, but I do think out of the three Town is most likely.

Not saying it couldn't hit scum. My point is if it hits someone who haven't been as vocal looking at voting patterns and interactions is harder and that makes it harder for town to win. Basically you said very similar to what I'm saying. I'm done discussing this though.
