Just to show the ridiculousness of the titan clear assumption.

 

So we knew that none of the 6 humans were maffia.

Does that mean the 6 humans are confirmed from the start? (don't come with the survivor here, don't make a difference)

Actually yes if you choose not to include the suevivor. I know your argument here but it simply accurate. Someones ability to fake claim has no bearing on what is fact it not. However the human claim would be more difficult for it.

Yes it did! We are debating right now if it was vreakable or not but it was fun and turned out tight in a live setting.

Fake claims don't change the facts, but they do change the information. Because of that, if Titans had claimed early, they wouldn't have been confirmed. I waited to claim not only to protect Prometheus but because once I did claim as last Titan, I couldn't be CC'd without the mafia sacrificing a member.

 

And it worked out fine, Nolder. Unfortunately for mafia, we lynched the Jan D1. Reminds me of that time we lynched the Forger D1 in your game on JN lol.

I'm still of the opinion that mafia screwed up by NKing me. I think I wasn't as confirmed as they considered me, and they would have been a lot better off saving me for the D2 lynch.

Yeah I had no idea why the NK on Basel. Attempting to hit a PR was my only guess but you claimed VTitan so... *shrug*

 

Fun game all Arrogant and Eager Bastard is a title I might just hold onto until I die. It certainly helps that all three are true :wbiggrin:

Why didn't any mafia claim Titan early day 1?

Hey yall, just got back from Disney. Congrats town!

 

Stuff to respond to:

 

I don't even think the Oracle was "swingy" as yall say. Even if it was restricted to 1 question per phase, or even 1 per night phase, it still would have been a setup in favor of town imo. Town had a Cop, Doc, Vig, and Innocent Child, all fairly powerful roles. Adding an OP Oracle on top of that just made it kind of an insurmountable disadvantage for mafia from what I see. We had a GF, 3 shot Janitor, and that's it. Additionally, I see Lovers as being split alignment a lot, and I think most people that got the role as town would assume that their was a good chance their counterpart wasn't town. As such, having a QT for them to share also gave the mafia team a disadvantage imo. For the record, I didn't think Cloud should have talked on it, or if he did, pretended he was someone else.

 

Of course it def hurt that I was lynched day 1, essentially the mafia team's only role with an ability, and that Krak was so inactive, but I don't think that hurt as much as the setup practically being open by the end of day 1 (open setups pretty much always favor town). I think the only reason it looked closer than it was was because of all the vig misfires.

 

@Wombat: I thought pretty hard about claiming Cop, but I figured vig would fit the character I was hinting at well (it ended up being what Heracles was). Additionally, if there was a Tracker or something, it would have looked mighty suspicious if I claimed that I kept targeting someone who was NK'ed AND who was Janitored. Claiming the Vig kill on them would have made that excusable. Still think I would have survived had Cloud gotten himself lynched instead of bussing me hehe.

 

@CSarmi: Lynching a claimed Survivor was def the right move for town. Doesn't matter that it was practically an open setup at the time, the fact is a Survivor or Miller claim should pretty much NEVER stop a lynch from happening, unless it seems like lylo. It's just one of those claims that you lynch on sight. Even if you believe the claim, and you know the role is in the game, the fact is a third party can always end up hurting you later on if they side with the scum team.

 

All in all tho, a fun game. Wish Cloud hadn't voted me again

And what I was saying about Titans revealing I still hold to btw, I would have made that argument as town as well. Getting a mafia to try and CC one of the Titans would have made them potentially sacrifice a team member, and without any cc's you would have had 5 confirmed by day 1. At that point the mafia team would have been so far behind that town could skate to victory easily.
