Two kills.. one of which is Mish who I was suspicious of.

If we have a vigilante out there, I would rather your ability be an extra lynch for the town than an outside influence personally.

An SK will not want to reveal.

A Vig and a Doc would clear two people right now.  If we additionally could clear two per cycle (through death) and consider the combined town reads of them and myself..  This game becomes unwinnable for mafia.

That would be nice.

That said, no rush.  The plan has an easy risk of backfiring.

@BASEL, if a vig shot on the same night that they were killed would the shot still go through?

These triggers are driving me insane.

@MOD - was random.org used in any capacity to determine the roles?

And if so, was this just to determine the player order?

Posted

@Darthe: if a vig, or SK, or a mafia member, was killed on the same night they submit a kill, both kills will happen, unless another role intervenes to prevent a kill somehow:

@Berf: random.org was used to determine what player was matched with what topping. The roles were determined by who met what trigger. This was because I had been wanting to work with triggers somehow for a while, and also to minimize any chance of my own preferences for toppings (if I've ever said anything about that on DM) being seen as indicative of what toppings might be town or scum for those who like to game mods.

@MOD, would it be possible to deduce a pattern to these triggers if one went searching?

Nothing is stopping you from trying. I will not say how likely you are to succeed.

I think there is only one scum left. Correct me if I am wrong. Without a town cop, it is going to be tricky.

Where do we start? Let's look at Des votes.

Vote count:

Des (6): Cindy, Darthe, Peace, Berf, Pralaya, Mish
Darthe (1): Des

Not voting (4): Hally, Krak, Tress, Tiink

Hally, krak and Tress are those who are not voting.

Krak: He hammered WBK in the first round and has since disappeared. His hammer is kind of suspicious because he does not speak about WBK at all until the hammer. His main suspects was Mish.

Mish is scum and Berf and Des had a tiff, both of whom were cheerleading despite their best efforts to condemn the other for it.

Hally: I looked at her posts and nothing stands out as suspicious. She was behind berf and mish as scum. She also admits to have used her trigger and killed Mish. Sounds twonie to me.

Tress: Berf has made a case on her. But, she neither voted WBK nor Des. Does not look to be intentionally screwing up with towny minds. Reading town on her.

Which brings us to the case of someone trying to hide his scum by looking as a good townie voting Des. The main suspect is Darthe.

If we look at some of the posts in hindsight, Des and Darthe both vote WBK initially, then start arguing with themselves and vote each other, and in the end vote WBK again. However, two things stand out. Darthe was one of the earliest to vote Des. Also, Tinker is night-killed after naming Darthe.

That Tinker is killed seem like a good case of scum trying to trap Darthe.

I will go with krak for now. Vote krak

I can't believe that I am getting suspicion cast on me for being too good a scum hunter.

I'm honored, truly.

Peace's certainty of a third party role vs some other possibility pings.

Also, Prelaya refers to me as the scummiest and biggest on his list but then votes Krak.. Doesn't logically add up.

@mod is it possible to prove the null hypothesis?

also, does god exist and if so, where's my pony?

By its nature, a hypothesis is not provable. It can only be disproved. And god does exist; he is making this post. I don't have a pony to give, though.

thank you, modgod... I rarely get written answers to prayers.

Oh cindy. You make waking up to 160+ notifications alright. Never change.

Praya nice logic, looking at the right things... Not sold on Krak mafianess but he is a good candidate to look at should tress flip town

Tress will not be dying today, dear. You're cute.

I had a pretty strong suspicion Hally was vig when she started asking for people to give their scum reads N1.

I also believe I have a good idea what Peace is up to, and don't plan to pressure him.

What I've been kicking around in my head since last night is the idea that Despo pulling the "lay down and die" bit only really makes sense to me if he felt very sure the last of his teammates would be above suspicion after his death.

There are two people I can see on this list, both of whom have been setting off pings.

1) Berf, who is overselling the townie act as if he is in any way confirmed. Night one tossing out the expectation of being night killed was a bit much, seeing as how he came within one vote of being the D1 lynch. No way is mafia going to kill a person who has a good chance of being cased and run up again. And he did the same thing N2, immediately followed by the "oh no, I've been set up" bit once day broke and one of his prime suspects was killed. The only thing that doesn't ring true is that it was Tink that was killed instead of me, and if he was mafia he'd have to be very much aware of that. Could be an act, but it's a fairly bad one. Berf has a flair for the dramatic, and he's playing this one for all he's got. Still on the radar, but a better bet may be...

2) Darthe, who GOD FORBID, would any mafia ever bus two of his teammates so seriously D1? That's the kind of gambit that becomes legendary. No way would Darthe try it. He suddenly became convinced during night phase that I am town, as convinced as he was D1 that Berf was town. And Berf is suddenly top of his list to vote today. Between the gut feeling and his sudden attack of role fishing, I'm thinking Darthe is my best bet today.

Pralaya is my dark horse candidate.

Cindy and Krak I'm guessing are most likely town.

Posted

I don't like that Tress is making sense to me.

I have feelings. They are conflicted.

Darthe's style is totally congruent with a giant gambit such as bussing two teamies. Considering that WBK seems to have AWOL'd a bit, and Despo has got other mafia on, both could potentially lay over and die happily - giving Darthe the ultimate town clearance by bussing the hell out of them.

Thus my vote at daybreak - I thought Mish and Tress were dead, and my first thought was that Darthe has been playing us the whole time.

HOWEVER. I still think Tress is more likely.

Or do I.

Dammit.

From my reread

More like "In YOUR end, o!"

Don't hate me, someone had to say it.

( I missed this the first time, it made me lul. )

Okay reads:

Darthe: town

Tress: leaning strongly scum. Not only did she fence sit on me, she introduced wifom on me even if I wasn't lynched (she could come back to me later- "remember how SCUMMY he was acting earlier guys?!?!"), and then started backpedaling on what she said after being challenged by Darthe. Incidentally, what she said is partially true, I do try acting a little scummy early in games as town to try and avoid NK's, but her mentioning that midgame could easily be an attempt to buddy to me or to gain town cred on my flip

Berf: leaning slightly scum. His obvious bandwagon vote accompanied with the blatant cheerleading stuff seems a lot like an attempt to provoke me. Ever since the end of the Merlin mafia game he has had a hard on for trying to show up and contradict me.

Krak: leaning slightly scum. His "Oh you two..." comment seemed like it could a been scum enjoying hanging back and watching two townies bicker at each other.

Kaylee: leaning town. Don't think she would have posted such an obvious fence-sitting post as scum.

Vote Tress

Wondering which of these he's trying to distance from, if the other mafia member's on here.

Vote count:

Berf (4): Kronos, Mish, Tress, Kaylee
Mish (1): Berf
Kronos (7): Tiink, Peace, Pralaya, Des, Darthe, Cindy, Krak

Not voting (1): Hally

That's a lynch. Scene coming up.

Vote count:

Des (6): Cindy, Darthe, Peace, Berf, Pralaya, Mish
Darthe (1): Des

Not voting (4): Hally, Krak, Tress, Tiink
With 11 alive, it takes 6 to lynch. DL is Sun. Jul. 28th at 9 PM EST.

That's a lynch. Scene on the way.

Krak hammered the first, and wasn't present on the second lynch.
