He's done little to no scum hunting.  All he has done is comment on others play.

I'm not mafia but I've kind of done what I often complain about others doing.

I've just lurked around and not really played. I kind of lost my drive after I think D1 or D2. Whichever.

 

You're right I haven't done much scumhunting but I can still play from the gut.

Gut is telling me Darthe is town because I think if he was mafia he would be more involved and trying to lead town by the nose.

Conversely I feel like Tiinker would be more involved if he was town.

Million and Tsuki are null tells for me. Millon hasn't played in like a year and Tsuki is new so there's no way to get meta reads on them.

Damn it! Had a post and it was eaten. Does a cop only see if they are scum or town or does it reveal a role as well? If they come up scum why do we have to lynch right away? Is it a rule that mafia must be lynched upon reveal? If it shows they are scum without a role couldn't we just let them hang until we are certain of the rest of the scum and then lynch them? Also, I am not sure on why you wouldn't reveal town. Scum already know who town is so it's not like you're holding back information. I would sayreveal town so we know we are not arguing down a false trail and concentrate on the unconfirmed. Can someone clarify why town should not be revealed?

Again depends on the mod.

When dealing with cops I usually go with guilty/not guilty.

Some mods will tell you town/not town. Some will tell you mafia/town/third party.

 

It really depends on the mod but I do think making the distinction between non town and third party are a bit rarer.

If you WANT you can play it off until night but the best play is to absolutely tell everything before sending in your night action.

 

Well, what's so great about this 3-shot cop is that I'm expendable right now. But still, the maffia has to NK me and confirm my claim because they can't afford not to, what if I lie and I got more views :P

if I forgot him it probably means he didn't do anything I thought was scummy that would make me remember him

note that if he is godfather, the proper way to play the role is to play a little bit scummy and bait the cop into viewing and clearing you

 

it's debatable whether RTE would know that though either way being fairly new still

He didn't look scummy to me at the point I viewed him. As a cop, I'm usually looking for townies to clear, not scum to catch.

watchin you althor. First to try to draw attention to someone else in an actual 'game on' fashion. I don't think everyone has even signed in yet and you're already goin at it. Goin to hold off on my vote for now until everyone is here.

 

 

This was actually the starting post that got the game rolling. Nothing seems out of place, except the last part where he says he's going to hold his vote off until everyone shows up. Why? I have no idea. The only reason I can think of would be to try and attract votes without having to commit, which is pretty much exactly what happened. I disregarded the majority of his posts after this one because they weren't game related, which follows through with trying not to commit despite Noldor, Rand and Peace going at it. Instead follows up with this ->

 

Weekends are rough. Still here. On my phone and DM sucks on my phone. Lol. At a graduation now so I'll post my vote when I can. I still think Rand is scum. Didn't really react much to a possible vote as though he's just tryin to blow it off. Would make an official vote if I could format letters here.

Again stating how he'd like to vote Rand. Willing to attribute it to being unable because of code since he's a new mafia player but pointing it out.

 

It helps to keep the pace going and clear confusion too. Although, and I am not sure it's a good idea to point it out cause it's going to make me look scummy, but the first game i ever played going after people who defend lurkers got us two mafia. Still lost that game lol but it drew them out. Since then I have always gone after lurkers. If you're town it would make sense to participate and not hide out on the side lines. It just seems suspicious to not participate.

What's not to like about my play so far? yeah, I don't do quotes often because, like Mish on mobile.

 

I am going to use the new mafia thingy I learned this game with a FoS on Mish. You only voted Rand for a majority is counter productive. If you weren't sure hes was scum or town my bet would have been not to vote. We lost a town because of your want for a majority. Seemed opportunistic more than logical. Scum saw an opportunity and seized on it. Holding my vote where it is though to see if Tink does pick it up. *no offense sir*

 

 

Gibberish? Lol. Nice. I thought the arguments to take Rand out made sense. I have no basis of comparison for games or playing style. Rand doing the self vote thing seemed off to me. So I voted.

This is a false statement because your original plan was to vote him before you even questioned the self vote and imo you probably forgot because your play was based on opportunity over any logical conclusion of his alignment.
 

 

Maybe I'm inexperienced but it ticks me off when people are in multiple games. Thanks a lot. You're a vanilla town who is admittedly ditching your game. Appreciate the help. You spend most of your time explaining how busy and pre-occupied  and all that, then toss out an off handed vote for a lynch. Scum or not. Vote Mish. Is there ALWAYS A doc role with mafia? Is there a possibility hallia is protecting Dap and Peace by claiming they are all 3 town when, prior to that post, someone mentions in a game of 15 that there would likely be 3 mafia?

I am leaning more towards a boy named Tsu myself. Not for specific quotes but that he was going HARD at Mish for a hot minute and then........lets look at someone else. Tsuki, do you think your argument that Mish was scum was strong enough for a lynch if you had kept going with it? Why go through all that work to target her and then drop it? It confuses me. It seems like, for a basic mafia game, that you're posting so much on a lead you had no intention of doing anything with just to crowd out inexperienced players. I'm not defending Mish just want you to clarify why you dropped your lead.

These give off more of a town vibe since it's seeking attention. However, the fact that you code failed the first time and still didn't manage to do it the second time when a mafia mate was on the line pings slightly.

So, a Dr. can, in certain games, protect themselves? Can they protect the same person more than once? Could she have protected herself or does it mean she used her protect on the Cop who has, I think, one more 'shot' left?

While I get that if a player doesn't know a role or what it can do, obviously the most logical thing to do is ask. But given the amount of times he's referred to how inexperienced he is at this game, it's starting to make these posts look like filler posts to substitute the lack of contribution in the past few days. A new scum player would play it that way since at this point with people being cleared he wouldn't want to question his own teammates and casing is going to bring him to the game's attention.

If Dice is an N-Shot cop then sh*t he should've said so. I can't imagine he's a naive cop or any other cop variation. This is supposed to be a basic game.

I find Tiink's attitude scummy, especially to the claim and the cop role itself in general. There's just something there that I don't like, something that doesn't add up. I can't put my finger on it, I'll have to do a re-read.

 

For Nolder, I just find him off.

Above were my posts in reaction to the claim. Please point out what you find particularly scummy because from the moment he claimed cop I was pretty skeptical and it shows. I was also against switching lynches from him to someone else. It was either him or a no lynch, neither would've helped mafia.

That is actually a quite compelling case... What I find most interesting about it is two things: How he constantly refers to himself as new, but then in his post about going after lurkers he sayd "since then I've gone after inactives" (paraphrased). Well, if the incident he talked about was his first game... And this is his third game... That doesn't really add up. And then we have how he first chews me off really hard for being inactive, and votes me, and then after starts questioning Tsuki if he thought his  (Tsuki's) case held up enough to lynch me. Apparantly Mill's own "case" didn't since he never mentioned it again. That's a typical opportunistic vote. So Mills, how come you didn't follow up on your own vote against me? You seemed agitated enough.

Past that posts like the above from Mish seem to me more like someone following the game to follow and keep up appearances than scumhunt.
