*the Questers enjoyed their fully reclining seats and the in flight movie before all too soon it seemed to touch down and they were whisked into an awaiting mini bus for their trip to Mount Rushmore*

Wow that's quite a sight. Why don't they do stuff like this anymore?

The screen went dark and the following words appeared

George Washington was a Bearer of Excalibur

Again the short pause before the screen went black again. And then the next clue appeared.

My work ensured their freedom, the Vise forever my goal. This place that holds remembrance for those who tolled the toll.

Where to next? Can we have a hot dog whilst we figure out our next move?

Hot dogs for Ithi!!

With sauerkraut for me!!!

Abe Lincoln? Hmmm....I think we are on the right track.

I don't think it is actually Lincoln though - although I can see why his name popped up. Perhaps the person we need did similar things though and that's why the Clue brought Lincoln to mind.

Too bad we can't just whip up one of those gateway thingamajiggys. We could be wherever we were going in next to no time.

Where are we going anyway? Can we do one of those crazy TopGear races on the way?

toll could mean bell toll, or paying a toll like at a bridge, or as in taking its toll

Let's look at the clue again

My work ensured their freedom, the Vise forever my goal. This place that holds remembrance for those who tolled the toll.

Are there any famous people who's work ensured freedom. They should be from a little later date than our last Great.

or Frederick Douglass, who was the first African American nominated for Vice President.
