I'm not okay with believing the play CS and Darthe have made and letting it go till endgame.  I think it needs to be vetted at some point in the best way to help town, and that is not by lynching them now, but waiting for maximum effect.

Voting somebody for doing something anti-town?  So, let's say Darthe claimed mafia and RTE voted Darthe, would you still jump on RTE for going after the "easy target?"  No.  Dap, I don't like your reasoning here.  There is a difference between someone doing something scummy and getting heat for it versus mafia jumping on an easy lynch, and at the first vote you can't tell the difference.

I don't think claiming vanilla right off is the best move. Like Peace said, it means scum have knowledge of how to narrow down their targets. But I don't think it means he is scum. I think there's also the possibility that Darthe really does have a power for town, and he is trying to divert NKs away from him.

 

WIFOM for mafia to consider.  I like this post a lot. +1 Basel.

Seriously though, (assuming you are town) I like this play as it is going to give scum more to second guess at night.

 

CS dude let me ask you this, why would scum bring attention to themselves this early in the game?

 

Because somehow it has recently become a trend here to not lynch people who act "too scummy."    For instance, Peace in JohnSnows aborted game asked for all town power roles to claim, asked the cop repeatedly for all investigative info the cop had gotten, asked who was protecting the cop after a failed NK of the cop, etc etc.  And yet nobody wanted to lynch peace because "oh, scum wouldn't act so incredibly scummy!"  Bah.   

 

The bold: Are you indicating you know which RTE was doing? There is a difference, yes, but only scum and those that know who the scum are know which the person is.

The underlined: As was pointed out, they may not have noticed without it being brought up (several times).

The purple: likes the play if Darthe is town.

My early read on Dap was scumhunting, but after he didn't seem to understand why Basel would point out Darthe WIFOMing mafia I don't think he is thinking with a town oriented mind.

I don't have much to add.  Tiink's play was scummy, but way too many people jumped on way too easily.

 

Also, CSarmi, do this:  Send in your NA at anytime.  Wait until 1 minute before deadline.  Post in the thread who you will target.  That way mafia cannot wait to put in their NK and will have to do it before you otherwise they will miss the deadline.  Also, if you die then town knows who you targeted and can confirm them as scum. 

The above seems like he's believing Csarmi and directing him.

I see. Well, in that case wait until 1 mins before deadline to both send in NA and post it in the thread.

 

This one made me think: Why still insist on it being close to deadline after someone points out the flaw? Hoping it wouldn't be done in time and therefore help to discredit it?

Indeed.  I'm pretty content with him hiding behind me.  And with the mafia's WIFOM of if I am a PR or not it essentially forces their NK, thus the hider knows when to use his protects with just a bit of effort.

 

I like this strategy.  And here I thought Kenny Loggins would be calling soon.

Obviously I missed something so maybe you can clear it up for me.  Darthe and CS claimed roles that may or may not be true.  Neither were NK'd on N1.  This means they are vetted town? 

 

I have a town read on Darthe, not sure about CS, but I'm not going to just consider them both vetted because they made a claim and weren't NK'd. 

 

Bold: They claimed roles? CSarmi claimed hider, but Darthe claimed vanilla (as I had pointed out to him ealier). Vanilla means no role.

Underlined and Bold: Suddenly you have a town read on Darthe? Just a few posts ago they could have been on a scum team and pulling a gambit. Which is it? Why believe Darthe but not CS? (Think I asked that already but haven't seen an answer).

 

Then his recent post (at the top) talks about how we should "handle" the hider/CS.

Anyway, TG can't seem to make up his mind on if he believes CS, the switch on Darthe, and directing CS's ability. These are all reasons I'm suspicious of him. It almost feels like he's trying to setup CS to not be trusted and to go down.
