This has come up and is in obvious need for clarification - I apologize.  In the final stages of creating/implementing this game, I was off snowboarding and left Ed to finish tidying things up and sending out PMs for me.  Oops.

 

The Rule Regarding Role Claims and Character Claims:

Yes, this game is different.  Character claims are totally allowed and to be encouraged.  However, be very careful with this.  Characters, roles, powers, and alignments were all chosen with great care - some with a hint of humor in mind, some with historical significance, etc.  This is the very reason that mass role claiming is not allowed - you may never say "I am X role" or "I have X ability".  You can, however, speak of the results of your role or power.  For example:  "I know Ed is scum!"  I encourage you all to debate and speculate what various roles are.  My best advice for this is to rationalize why X president may have been given that role/power/alignment.  There IS a concrete reason why X president has X role and Y president has Y role, etc.  

 

I understand that this rule is almost more confusing than not, but the intention is to avoid mass claims of roles.  With some people, it may be glaringly obvious what role they have, and that's okay.  Try looking at the history of your president or perhaps some pictures of them and be creative with it.

Rand imo is the better option out of the two. his lynch yeilds good info, where as Peaces yeilds next to none; and lynching based on game flavor is WIFOM. for all we know, the allignments could have been randomly assigned (less lieky imo given the restriction onf character reveals) so my choice is to keep my vote on Rand but i would love pressure on Peace because of his scummy character.

and cluttering up the game with history lessons ah, so thsi is the real reason you want me gone.  because you dont like the fact i'm using the relevant theme of the game to get a starting judgement on which characters i think are scum.  you do relaize that i've been actually casing people and apply game related info outside of the history lessons and most of the so called "lessons" i've been posted are common knowledge anyone whose taken a 9th grade civic class in the States knows.
