Hallia, you got a bit unlucky to have stumbled in this game. There are some crazy people in here :P My first Basic game was filled with noobs, which allowed me to pick things up faster.

I don't have a lot of thoughts; I haven't gotten a very good grip on this game yet. Having three games starting at once and then loosing internet for a day messed up my mental notes :P I'm leaning on agreeing with Red that no lynch may be the better option today. I don't think anyone has stuck out to much in any direction to warrant a lynch, and since we're such a small game I think we'd benefit from the added time. That together with who gets NKed I think gives us better chances at actually finding mafia instead of lynching townies.

My first game was the one the Blues run during Harry Potter week in the WT in the Tower, and I got a bit of a shock when I moved over to the normal mafia games; the game I played was very soft and gentle, so it took me a long time to adjust to the tempo in here  Not saying it's hostile or unfriendly; I actually prefer this. I'm still looking forward to HP week and playing the HP game again

Red you always do this. Anyone who is the least bit critical of you you turn around and go after them. At this time I don't think Cloud is at all mafia and I don't know why you do besides the fact that he didn't just go with your flow. You need to stop antagonizing people into voting you because more often than not you're both town.

We need to come to a consensus before tomorrow people. If we leave it to tomorrow that's cutting it too close.

I am willing to switch back to Darthe if necessary but I really prefer a policy lynch in this case. I mean seriously the thread moved less than 2 pages while I was asleep during the day. That's a terrible level of activity.

Fair enough. I think we have tested each other out enough so I'm fine with a no lynch. This will be my last post for the day; I will check in again tomorrow.

Since Rand came in so late, I'm thinking no lynch is a good option for today.  I also think with Rand in the game, activity will be picking up more and we will get more accomplished on Day 2.

Unvote, vote no lynch

This post is terrible though the one about Red before it was better.  I can't decide what I think of you now Nol.

Also, policy lynch is a wasted day and I would rather no lynch than intentionally waste a life.

Terrible idea. This is not a setup in which No Lynching benefits the town. We have 7 townies vs 2 mafia. Assuming there is no doctor or the doctor never successfully protects that means we get AT MOST three chances to lynch a mafia before the numbers change. By No Lynching we are turning this into a 6v2 which means we only get TWO chances to lynch a mafia or we're done. Do the math. This is a bad choice.

Posted

If we were no lynching to turn 4 way lylo into 3 way lylo or something I could get behind that but that's not the case and you're wasting any chance we have at doing that later RIGHT NOW.

It's not wasted as everyone is a suspect on some level. If we lynch anyone it removes them from the pool of suspects and brings us that much closer to finding mafia, assuming they aren't mafia in the first place. Do the math Darthe, No Lynch is the waste here.

I said that earlier but inactive is actually worse.  I understand your logic, you're attempting to use the cop like Red is except you want to wean their numbers where red wants to view them.  Your strategy really does work better.  But today is a poor day for it.  If we were going to lynch an inactive I would prefer it be someone who hasnt given content rather than someone who hasn't posted much.  Hallia for example.  Call it a gut feeling if you will.

Posted

Wait what? So in the beginning of the game you wanted to "pressure" Hallia and then you implied it was a reaction test and now you actually want to lynch her for the same reasoning you implied was for reaction testing? The most important thing to me is that we actually lynch someone today. Obviously people are still stuck apologizing for inactivity instead of doing something about it so Songstress isn't getting lynched. That only leaves you with what I can only call some of the worst play I've seen in a long time Darthe, mafia or town. I jumped off your train because I felt like it was growing too quick and it felt wrong to lynch someone who was actually participating but I can't ignore your continued attempt at going after Hallia. Is she your partner and you're trying out some extreme bussing plan or what? Regardless you have got to go.

You didn't meaningfully contribute, ignored the fact that votes were gained on you, and I have received large flak from both Nolder and Red whom I am suspect of for voting you when I used their reasoning (logical fallacy/inactivity respectively).  Thus, either one or both of them is using you as a scapegoat and full of Bullshanks or one is protecting you and the other is misguided.  Either way you're info to pressure.

@ Darthe - you'll find out soon enough that i'm speaking the truth in my comments both towards your actions with Lia (ie: why your targetting her) and with Nols suggesting on why to lynch Tress.  it maybe blunt, and you lot may not like to hear it, but its my honest opinion about it.

i'm not protecting her, just expressing my dislike about your tactic in general

i'm also unsure what to think about his last minute push for a No Lynch.  Cloud is shadowing Mish again, as he's been doing ALL GAME!!  infact Cloud is doing nothing more than shadowing everyone and not playing on his own two feet.  my vote stays because my gut knows he's scum

seriously, you have absolutely no comment on either mine of Darthes interaction.  i'm going to yell this, so have thine ears prepared.

STOP . FENCE . SITTING!!!    literally drives me nuts and is about the single most scummiest thing a person can do in these games.  only scum are afraid to take sides, now pick one and get off the fence.

and while i'm at it, i'm growing tiered of your bitch whine and complaining about the level of activity in this game.  stop mini modding Nol, it aint kosher, peace is happy with the activity level, and hes a good mod that i trust knows how to run a  game properly as hes not new to how things are done; and that is good enough for me, as it should be for everyone playing in HIS game.  for only 9 players, we've skipped the normal day one bullshanks spam on page 1 of this game and are now 8 pages deep in actual game related content, not spam not fluff but actual info gathering juicy tid bits to help with finding scum.  the game seems inactive because there are 9 players.  regardless if this is a new tactic for distraction or a legit beef, stop mini modding, get off yer high horse and be thankful we dont have to wade chest deep in spam.

if your that unhappy about it, then ask to be replaced.  otherwise, bite the bullet and start actually playing instead of complaining.

9 times out of 10 the nilla townies are the inactive ones, so lynching from the inactives (though gratifying for us who find it teeth grindingly annoying) will hurt us and do the scums job for them.  not only do you have a very high chance of hitting town rather than scum, you also give us no info from the lynch.

i do have to say that if your aim with Lia is to reinforce that lurking and inactivity isn't how the game is played and lynch her for it; all you'll do is drive away new players.  very few of us jumped on the game and started whacking sticks with the big game and going toe to toe, infact Darthe i recall your first games on DM rather well and you were non to plus about jumping right in especially on D1.

this isn't to say that her current level of inactivity and non-comment isn't raising eyebrows,i'm not one to favor auto passes for newbs or treating them with kiddy gloves, but at the same time i do tend to give them a bit of a benefit of the doubt for their first few games until the get the just of things and the basics.  however, i dislike using an auto lynch for quiet newbs in this game to try and cull out inactivity and make the active (which i feel is what your doing), just as much as Nols notion of principle lynching or whatever he called it.  if anything, his attitude towards Tress is likely driving her to be away from this game, i know in her shoes i'd be more than pissed at Nol and woudl be purposefully lurking just to spite him for the way he's going about it.
