The Dark One Must Win

If we know one thing about the Wheel, it is that it has neither beginnings nor endings, something we have read thirteen times already, and preparing to hear one more time in January.  However, we have this..

James - When you first started work on the Wheel of Time what was the first thing you looked up in the notes/material?

Brandon - Asmodean’s killer. After that, I read the ending.

Not an ending, the endingThe only conceivable way for there to be THE ENDING would be for the Dark One to win, and end the wheel.

Might as well getting around to bowing to the Great Lord now.

But if he'd said "Asmodean's killer, then an ending", that would have just been a rather vague statement

Authors aren't allowed to be vague?

Everyone! PREPARE FOR THE BIG VOICE!

Um.... there are no endings in fictional world of The Wheel of Time, but the book series The Wheel of Time book series can. If you insist on the fact that The Wheel of Time cannot have an ending, consider this, the original author is dead. Therefore The Wheel of Time, as imagined by Robert Jordan, has no end.

Well the ending would mean the ending of the series that is how I would read that quote. Now it would certainly be a nice curve ball if the Dark One wins though I do not think that will happen, however that Brandon read the ending probably means the ending for the series and not the ending of the in setting Wheel.

Of course the Dark One won't win. If he did there would be violence, poverty and inequility everywhere and the worlds leaders would be a bunch of idiots who can't solve a single problem...... Oh, too late
