Good Morning all. Except for Ishy I suppose. As I stated earlier I would reveal all this morning I so shall. I started the game with a name but no team. There were three of us that had names. Dracula, the head vampire. Van Helsing, the lead hunter. And me. I can't give my name as that would be breaking MOD rules. I started the game as a UNRECRUITABLE Amnesiac.  I was able to assume any role of another player that had been killed. Until thattime I would be considered third party. I selected that option on Day 3. When I took over Rand's role of JOAT (1 shot vig/1 shot cop view). On that day I stated that I did not believe that Rand had viewed Basel because I knew he had not viewed anyone. I was still suspicious of Basel as I also knew that from BG viewing me on Night 2 that his view did not give alignment (I was still 3rd party then) only if the player could kill(which I couldn't then). since I was confident there was recruitment based on my role PM as why would you have someone be unrecruitable if there was no recruiting. Kae's mention of poison working as a possible agent for recruitment led me to wonder if Despo could be on the way to becoming a vamp. I voted him and stated why I did. No one wanted to follow. I figured that the risk was low as he stted he was vanilla(no information to share with town) and the reward high (to discover the truth and possibly catch a turned vamp). Ithought I was causing a considerable amountof trouble for the mafia so thought I could be killed that night. So I took my chances and killed Despo. Then that night I viewed Basel. My report was town. I mentioned that I had reason to believe Basel town in my discussion with cloud.

 

Based on Smiley's revelation I am more inclined to believe he is telling the truth as it would make the most sense seeing as how Blade was made the cop that Van Helsing would be the Doc and have some additional abilities as well. Smiley, you CAN NOT IN ANY WAY CONFIRM YOUR CHARACTER NAME. This is my assumption based on current evidence.

 

I intentionally asked Despo and BG if they had anything suggesting they could be recruited as a red herring hoping to draw a recruitment attempt. If we can have them fail then the town is in better shape.

I don't like that you viewed Basel as Town I don't like that he hasn't got teeth and that he has been viewed as Town. He still feels wrong lol.

 

But I think given two independent checks on him, we should be looking at:

 

Panda: I did question why Panda would say that JLM/Smiley had been recruited at the time. I thought it would be overpowered if our Doc could be turned by Vamps, and he said that anyone could be turned I think. I didn't understand why Smiley didn't comment on him saying that ... I hoped he was trying to cause wifom maybe. Very lurky till the heat came on.

 

 

Mish: Although I'm feeling a little more confident of her recently. But only a little.

 

Red: Is trying to discredit the recruiting aspect of the game. Has probably been recruited and killed her partner to shut him up.

 

Tress: Is very fluffy posty this game and has never given a real case or reason both times she voted for people who flipped Mafia

Oh and Red, I intentionally have been letting you go bulldog on me just for grins. But the way I see it is your case was primarily about three things.

 

1.) That I was the only one with recruiting info: My revelation shows pretty much that I did have it in my PM. The fact that Smiley, who has been an uncc'ed doc for nearly as long as you have been claimed mason has now stated his role is similar only backs my claim up. Even Ishy thought that a vamp game without recruitment of some sort was unlikely. Your attempt to paint me as a fear mongerer makes you look like you have something to hide. Basically, Thou does protest too much.

 

2.) that I "knew" Hoof would flip vanilla: I didn't know, but it made sense that he was either trying to get sympathy by selfvoting as mafia (unlikely given the time frame) or was a vanilla willing to sacrifice himself to save town from random. Do you think that if he were Van Helsing he would just go meekly to his death? I certainly don't. I certainly wouldn't. I would claim my role and yell to high heaven that town was in danger of losing the game D1 if they lynched me. That you can't see that means you are being intentionally obtuse.

 

3.) the attempt to link me with Len: I voted as I did for reasons given. Ithink if you take a quick poll of the remaining players you will discover most know that I am frequently busy at work and have limited time to post. I even told Darthe that if I had the time that day I would have still pushed for Mynd's death as I thought his play atrocious. The fact that Len as mafia elected to hammer blind does not surprise me. It is in his meta as he plays pretty mafioso all the time. Trying to ascribe my alignment by his actions is faulty logic.

 

 

So based on my revelation I am the most town in the game as I am the ONLY one that actually chose to be town. You can continue down this path, but I think if you do at some point people are going to start asking why? Why is Red so interested in lynching Turin? Turin who has been viewed clean by the gunsmith. Maybe because it is in hopes of getting rid of something they despise? A Townie that can't be converted.

 

Oh last thing, Mynd didn't really "get on my butt" until D2. which could have been after he was recruited.

 

 

It is all good tho. I got to say my peace and am now basically vanilla town with the exception that I can not be recruited. So go ahead and keep on digging. Here's a hat for you in the tunnel

@Turin (and anyone else with an opinion): what do you think of a limited strike recruitment, like the poison? I think it's more plausible that every night, less balance issues, and I'd say almost sure with what we've seen mafia have already

I would have to say that a limited form of recruitment given that we have seen two mafia flip already makes the most sense. To allow the mafia to regular kill, poison kill and recruit every night seems overpowered. The other possibility would be separate cult but I am not thinking that very likely. There just aren't enough people left in my opinion to have the numbers work out.

 

I have a question. Does anyone else want to admit to having had a name since the beginning of the game? probly not

Until there is evidence to the contrary I must believe what I saw on Basel. I wish he hadn't been pinging so hard cause I really wanted to view Pandy or Mynd/Red. Red is somewhat vetted by Ishy flipping Mason but by her own admission if you recruit one mason it is better to kill the other one. smiley I am very confident of now. I chose to be town so I know where to put me. Ithi had no reason to bus her two teammates from the front so I see her as town. Mish I am going to admit blindness this game. That leaves Pandy, Kaylee and Tress. Of the three I think the best case is against Tress. It is based on her actions.

Yes but being masons together is different then being mafia together. I've only been mason once, and although Turin and I then did alot of talking together, it's nothing like the times I've been mafia where people adviced each other on their play alot more.

Ahh, Turin. I didn't say I was leaving right then. After I posted in the BT I had to rush to get ready for work, then I was driving.

 

Break is almost over. I'll try to peek in on my lunch.

 

For now I'll wait on giving any reasons or thoughts. I do want Kaylee to answer my question when she gets a chance, and then I may have a few more things to say.

 

I would ask a favor. Those of you who are town, please do not let the mafia hammer me before I have a chance to claim. They know I am not one of them, and if they think they can get me out of the way they very well may pile on under the guise of lynching my super scummy arse.

Red, I know you think Turin is Mafia, and I can understand that. I'm quite single minded myself at times lol. I had his name scribbled down so many times when I was doing my read through, but then BG said he had no teeth or guns so I figured ok ... and BG also cleared you as Town, Ishy's flip clears you as Mason. BG also said Basel had no teeth, but we now know that their was at least one minion of the vamps who couldn't bite - unless his poison stabber counted as a weapon.

 

The thing is, if results have been messed with then I get worse vibes from Basel. Honestly I do. He says he has been playing awful and will do better, but then does the same old following follower who follows. So, I certainly don't want to detract from your pursuit of Turin, but just for a moment could you take a breath - Red, who else do you think is Mafia?

Anyways, I'm not going to be able to fully participate, but I will try and keep up. Basically I upgraded my phone yesterday. There was a farce with the sim cards and it had to get reactivated, but now I've lost my blackberry push email and internet connection on my phone. I still have no wifi at home and after today I'm off work till Wednesday. One of our neighbours is silly enough to not protect their wifi connection, so I will try and piggyback as and when I can and hopefully Vodafone will pull their finger out and get it fixed sooner rather than later. At least I will have plenty of time to read my book

Pandy. He's been bulldogging a little too much on me, and I just can't get past the gut feeling that it's a mafia looking to take out a vulnerable townie, rather than a townie thinking I look pingy.

Tress. She's been a lot lurkier than is normal for her this game. LZM was lurky too, but he got replaced, so I am guessing that he wasn't contributing on the QT either. Tress has not been replaced for inactivity or anything, ergo, she must be active in the QT.

I'm leaning toward Red being possible mafia if there is recruiting.

my head hurts right now, i think i learned alot from the prep course but i need to put a focus on studying for the PACE exam on monday as its the last shot.  i'll try to put in time for this game over the weekand, but right now getting into Intermediate 1 is my priorety.

 

i wont be getting back on tonight, i have not caught up on this thread past page 20 nor on the 2 pages added since my last post but i do see via QT that Ishy was NKd *glares*

I have to say, I'm surprised by the apparent surge in people who think I'm scum. I did answer Ishy's case, but nobody has rebutted anything that I said, so I think there are a lot of people looking for an easy lynch. I think my activity has been mentioned: I was active on days one and two, and then I went away on holiday. Those of you who are facebook friends with me will be able to see the photos. Then I came back and read AMoL. Now I'm back. I did miss the Lenlo lynch because of this activity. I stated why I was reluctant to join the Cloud lynch. The fact that Mish and Tress are jumping on Ishy's case despite my rebuttal makes me suspicious of them. Tress did a lot of buddying up to Ishy.  

 

About Smiley, I think it's awfully convenient that he only now comes up with the information that he's an impervious doctor. If he is, that does imply that there is a lot of recruiting going on in the game, and so he should be siding with me on that point. 

 

Ithi's case on me based on my missing the word 'if' is weak. Here is the original sentence: 'It wouldn't surprise me she was on a team that recruited JLM.' It actually doesn't make sense unless there is an 'if' in there, since the verb 'would' requires it: 'It wouldn't surprise me if she was on a team that recruited JLM.' In any case, the verb 'would' is never used to express statements of fact anyway, except perhaps things that the author knows will happen in the future, which is not the case here; therefore her statement that I say this right out and am therefore scum is extremely suspect and based on twisting of words of the worst kind. 

 

Turin's claim gives me serious heeby-jeebies. I don't buy the idea that he could be third-party but is no longer. Are you listening to this guy? He says that he could assume another player's role, and says that until he did that he would be considered third party. He admits killing Des. Is he the poisoner? He doesn't say what happens to his alignment after absorbing that player's role. Lynch him ASAP.
