I read the first through third book two years ago, so technically it is for kids, but not exclusively for.

Sorry I haven't been around everyone. I've been under the weather. I'll try to step up now.

After a reread, let me just say the L'Engle is a great read for any age level. I read these at age eignt, and again for maybe the sixth time a year ago. Really good stuff.

As far as the game goes, it seems that aside from Des and Tina's back and forth on lynching inactives that I haven't missed much. All I'll say is that I generally think that moving on to that is usually a bad idea until later days, and a really bad idea on Day One for reasons Mr. Bassslapper already mentioned.

Haven't read the series..doubt I will. Hopefully I'll be playing a game of mafia soon with a Wrinkle in Time them.

Just kidding. I think we need a deadline imposed to motivate us (me included) to start the scum hunting.

Yall should follow me on to Tina. If nothing else, it can kick start the game a bit so we don't all have to keep complaining about it not getting started.

Or train on me, meh. Or bring up a case on someone completely different. Hello! You live to play the game.

Well, to get it moving, someone has to do something suspicious.

Rand, that's your cue.

Hey Rand, are you scum?

*sigh* Fine. I am IT. Go.

Rand has claimed a character... from The Addams Family.

Reading through the thread, for those not familiar with the books IT was actually the evil disembodied brain from the book. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Yeah he's the main bad guy in the first book.

What? Never seen you do somethin like this before, its not in your meta for anything.

Why would we need a deadline to start scum hunting? People could, you know, start to vote before the last day.

Then you haven't played enough games with me. Any game where activity is at a standstill I try doing what I can to propel things forward.

Tina is very wise. I don't know why everyone is so scared to cast a vote out there, even if it's just for feeling things out or something we need not just some gameplay activity, we need some voting activity.

I know it's the weekend, so some will not be as active generally, but the pace of this game is pretty much criminally low right now. I still think there are often too many mafia games going on at the same time, which gets people who are in a lot of the same games burnt out a bit. Mebbe we should limit the amount of games that can go on at once or something.

Or, perhaps we can force the no lynch thing and convince mafia not to kill anyone, and we can all live happily ever after

In the interest of getting some activity going, and cause I think BG was kinda fence-sitting on me when Tina fos'd me, I'll go along with that

Unvote, Vote BG

So you are saying Rand has claimed a villain character, then? Rand, are you SURE that you aren't scum?

true, I just haven't seen you do that specifically. I've seen you call people scum when they try to do that. The problem is, that you don't do that if you're mafia or town, so its a null tell.

Ok after an extremely careful reread (sarcasm intended) I think BG needs a vote. Only 2 posts so far and one seems to be a distancing posts.

It was weekend mainly. What's a guy to do?

Reading through the thread there is very little to go on. I completely understand Tina's point about wanting to get the game moving, but it seemed to me to be pushing a little hard. The only reason I say this is because I feel like Tina is probably a very experienced player (or at least it seems to so me) and would have known ahead of time Despo's point about lynching townies or power roles early.

vote Tina

Yep, I have played for some time now. And I have argued the same way Des does now many times myself. But I´m tired of letting the quiet players just getting another day, and another day. Finally they start to act or get replaced and then we have nothing to go on. And they are not helping town at all by being quiet.

Kae seems to be playing on the safe side. She has posted several times but nothing about the game. Not that not much has happened but what do you think so far Kae? And BG - you must have something more than that to add?

Posted

*sigh* Why can´t I edit my posts. People that play with me need to look beyond my bad grammar and try to understand what I´m really trying to say. lol

I completely understand about not helping out town by not posting anything game related. It really doesn't give the town much to go on for anyone, which is frustrating. I voted you based on the little to go on about any one, but I share your concerns. I did like the point you made about using vote casting to get some action going before the deadline, so maybe that is what we need to do more of? It did bring BG out of the wood works.
