Since we have a cop claiming and viewing to test today, not much point in doing a reread yet until we know for sure if Lenlo is scum or not, but I just wanna say that Darthe's post up above seemed extremely scummy to me, especially the attempt at buddying up to me. And his vote for a claimed cop (before the claim, but still) also tends to go against his favor

That's oddly narrow of you peace. If I was mafia "swooping in" as you described it, it would be a really dumb play. The much more logical, and honest, solution here is that I simply voted based on what I knew when I knew it. I didn't read up on everything others had said and, considering that this game has went 18 pages in like 2 weeks I sure as hell was not relying on others to be here regardless. If you feel so strongly about me then why aren't you voting?

 

Don't answer, this one was actually rhetorical. 12 person game means that there are probably 3 mafia. So, if you vote me then we lose. But mafia would know better than town that a vote too early could out them as well, so I think that you are waiting on someone else to vote me before you do so. It would make things a lot easier for you, and I happen to know very well that I am not scum.

 

Besides, if Peace was town he obviously had this thought or would have voted so why didn't he state it for us? Simple, he didn't want it known. This is a risk folks so I am so sorry, especially to you Des if I cost you your first loss, but I think that this is a mafia push to get some other townie to vote me so I am taking a risk here.

Please discuss my nk. We are 7 players. We have to presume 5 town and 2 mafia. Tomorrow it will be 4 town and 2 mafia. I think I can afford to kill tonight. If I kill the wrong person then we are 3 - 2 anyway. But probably I will just be blocked.

Went after TG and Basel all day. Here is your list:

 

Ok, re-read complete and caught up. My impression so far.

 

2. Basel - pings me the hardest. I think it was Des that brought it up D1; the way Basel was joking with Kae, and hesitant to vote her. Basel was also very quick to jumping on Rand when he realized Rand had joke-claimed a villain character. His overall play makes me feel iffy. Especially his comeback to Des about who Des thought was mafia. Basel is my nr. 1 suspect so far. Also, Turin was after Basel, but if Basel is town that might be mafia creating WIFOM there.

3. Peace - Was the first to vote BG, but otherwise I haven't picked up any negative vibes; town feel on him.

4. Rand - Is cheerleading and jumping onto trains, but haven't really done anything scummy, town feel.

5. Tina - unsure, her opinions on lynching inactives felt off to me, especially on D1. Slight iffy feeling on Tina. Also, the way she "defended" Kae felt a bit off.

6. Kaylee - Kay has promised several times to "post her thoughts" and never do. She's done a fair bit of fence-sitting, and doesn't really come up with much opinions on her own I feel. Unsure. Second on BG's train, started the Rand-train.

8. Kae/Lenlo - Kae's play reeked to me, she pinged hardcore to me. It seems to me like Len is playing a very safe game now to avoid people remembering he actually took over for her.

9. Darthe - I'm very unsure of Darthe. One post he says things that feels way off, next he seems very town. But my gut says town.

10. Despo - I can never get a read on Des. But so far I haven't seen him do anything to indicate he's not town.

11. TGlems - Nr. 2 on my list of potential mafias. He seems like he's floundering a bit, and his case on Des and reactions afterwards pings hardcore to me. First he posts a case, then Des picks it a bit apart, and TG unvotes with a bit of flarrery (after Des had said flattery would get you anywhere with him, heh). Then TG turns around on Des again. To me it looks like he realized he had a weak case, tried to back off, and was told in a QT to stay on it...

 

 

So in conclusion, TG and Basel are my main suspects. My vote is already on TG, so I'll keep it there for now.

 

Kae´s play pinged hardcore. She is unsure of Lenlo. But then not long after:

 

I'll definetly be keeping a close eye on Lenlo. But I do think it's unfair to lynch a replacement on their first day solely on the actions on the person they replaced.

I had not in mind that Lenlo was scum when I first looked at this list so this was something that I found now. Defends both Des and Darthe here. I guessed I noticed it at first since she is suspicous of me in this list while many of you seemed to think that I was town.

I stated my honest thoughts and I stand by them. I do think it's unfair to lynch a replacement the first day, no matter what the person before them did, unless you have a cop viewing on them. Simply because different players have different playstyles. So I didn't defend Lenlo, but stated a general view I have.

 

But you say that this was something you saw now, that you knew that Lenlo was scum. So I'm still curious as to what your reason for trying to get rid of me in the first place was. If the only reason is that I found some of your actions suspicious, while others did not, then by that same logic, then you are scum. Now you've said you're town and I believe you, so I'm not trying to cast suspicion on you; just point out the faults in your logic.

 

And I highly dislike that you take this up at night.

Well Mish did defend Lenlo in a roundabout way, even if it was under the pretext of fairness. So she is def worth looking at tomorrow. As for what she is saying, it is unfair in a sense that someone should be killed so quickly after replacing in, but the fact that it is unfair doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. If anything, it will spare the replacement from having to catch up all the way in the thread. I think too many mods try to cater to replacements a bit too much, yes it's fair to try and wipe the slate with them, but this can also end up letting a scum off the hook for a while.

 

The fact is, asking for a replacement when you're mafia because of anything other than you simply don't have time for it is just a really really bad move imo. The reason Kae gave for leaving- that she was sick of getting killed and fos'd, is kind of bs since she did turn out to be scum. So even if we had just lynched Lenlo right after he replaced in, which I would have preferred honestly, it wouldn't have been our fault that Lenlo had such a short time to play the game, it would have been Kae's fault.

 

Fairness in mafia is like raisins in cornbread. Just doesn't go with it. Imo, mods should be harder on players who ask for replacements, especially if it's for a somewhat silly reason. Not trying to pick on Kae either, EP did the same thing and emo ragequit out of a game, and JLM came in and got speedlynched, and the same thing happened with Red a while back (cept I replaced in for her replacement, and we won ). In each of those circumstances the person was mafia, and got frustrated that they were being fos'd so ducked out on their team. Peeps just need to put on their big boy pants and accept their fate imo, and use the quick exit from a game as motivation and experience to use the next time they are mafia

If I feel like it, I might do a reread later on, but I have a feeling that with Thanksgiving and the upcoming weekend the game will be pretty slow, so there will be plenty of time for that. But at the moment, Darthe, Rand, and Mish are the standouts for me. Def don't think Peace was using a gambit, it would have been unnecessary since the mafia team already had a big lead, and I got a town read on Tina and her claim seems okay for now (don't think she should shoot, if she misses that would be very bad for town. TG's claim buys him some time, but if the mafia really do have a RB'er, and he is still alive a couple of nights from now, that won't look good on him.

Oh Peace I was going to mention that I saw something you said about me in the QT from the Star Wars Mandalorian game- that my playstyle is somewhat antagonistic- and I thought that comment was spot on lol.
