Amazon has them... they're also individually available in e-book version, which I plan to get to replace my hard copies due to severe bookshelf limitations.

 

Getting really excited for this now. I think I'm addicted to modding. *starts plotting for my next game*

Nah, shouldn't really affect anything. You could always look it up on Wikipedia for a bit of a summary if you feel lost. It's not too complex.
