All right. I admit it, I lied to save myself from a lynch. I am vanilla. I did not lie about my character; I am Adien. That's why I said I was sensor. I felt I had to claim a role that fit my character to make it believable. I wasn't expecting it would actually catch us a scum when I made the numbers up, let alone a GF. It also contributed to Rand's lynch, but I think Rand would have gotten lynched this game anyway.

 

And I still have a scum read on Peace. He has been pinging me most of the game.

On another note. What is Key's game? Both days she pops in with the "oops, guess i'm too late" story.

I don't typically post game related during night phase but wanted to get my thoughts it there. I was going to reread on my lunch break & place a vote. However, by the time I got there Rand had been hammered. I was going to say how I still didn't believe Basel, but now that's been cleared too.

True Rand was the first vote on Random the second day but Despo and I have much more to do with that lynch that he did.

As for you, the manner in which you challenged my claim was pingy. While I was lying, you never struck me as a townie who smelled scum. You sounded like a scum who had found a vulnerable townie. You talked about me ignoring that you didn't believe the claim, when in fact I had already mentioned that there had to be some kind of balance for it on the scum team. When I called you out on the discrepancy, you never responded. You manipulated the facts of what I had said, and when I caught you in the lie, you were the one who did the ignoring act. Essentially, I beat the grass, and you were the snake that got startled.

I called you out cause your first response was weak. You repeated with the same response. There was no reason to push that angle further even though I had a big scum read on you for the obvious lie. So I let it go knowing you'd out yourself eventually. Unfortunately, your ploy lead me and others down a wild goose chase when we could have been hunting real scum.

 

If you can't come to grips that it was your play that generated all this...I don't know what to tell you. All I can say is trying to paint me as scum to hide your bad play is more anti-town work.

Gonna post some quick stuff for now, but after audit I might do a nice big reread and hopefully get a better handle on things

 

First off, @Kae: Chillax, dudette. I honestly have nothing personal against you. Yes, I do tend to find you scummy in about every game, but there are others that I'm about the same with, and there are MANY people who think I'm scummy every game. Does it mean I should stop listening to that nagging little voice of mine when I'm playing with you? Heck no. It's mafia. No one gets a free pass just because they seem scummy all the time. Hell, if that was the case, I could prob coast to endgame in most games with the scummy meta I apparently have.

 

The fact is, you pinged me pretty hard day 1, and your "I'll check TRL to make sure he's town" statement coupled with the fact that he flipped GF DOES seem a little weird.

 

Honestly, if you're alive come morning, and you don't have a guilty reading on a mafia for us, I'll prob be voting for you in the morning.

 

As for Basel, come on bro. Not only did we waste a day and a lynch in trying to verify your claim, but we also pretty much rolled back all the scumhunting that had been going on day 1. You basically wiped the slate clean for everyone. I hope others go back and reread stuff as well, to get other things back in mind, and ignore everything about your claim, cause otherwise this might be a loooong game. You shoulda revealed that you were lying after Kae "vetted" you (I say that cause I'm still not sure about her being the cop). And your case against Rand was pretty weak, outside of your claim against him. Him doubting your claim was not unusual at all, considering MANY of us thought it unbalanced to have a sensor in the game.

Peace pings slightly because he seemed overeager to use Basel's claim as a test to lynch Rand, possibly because he knew how many scum were actually on each lynch and knew Basel was lying, so was hoping to get Rand lynched today, and then Basel lynched after that. The fact that he has dogged Basel continuously in the past few posts goes along with this as well.

 

Kaylee def pings for her coincidental timing on two separate lynches. Not really buying that she just happened to only show up after the hammer was dropped both times.

Peace: why would a scum lead a lynch on his own GF? That is bad play! You lot were all so sure that Rand was scum when he was doing this, when he was doing something that would have been mind-blowingly stupid if he really was scum. I'm not using Rand's part in the Random lynch as an actual example of bad play, but because it was a sign he was a townie that so many missed. And since you're going to go on about being led on a wild goose chase, you should stop and think about how the person (me, that is) presenting this data was the one arguing against lynching Rand the whole time.

 

As for him not knowing there was no sensor: DUH. That's why I put that part in parentheses, because it was an aside not part of the argument. There's been enough doubt as to whether Kae is really cop that I felt I should chime in on that. Once again, you take what I have said and twist it to suit your own scummy ends.

Others have managed to doubt my claim without coming off as scummy. Peace didn't just doubt my claim, he pounced on it and left a trail of pings in the process. As to your second paragraph I quoted, all I can say is: This.

Well, I definitely feel better about the balance of the game knowing there's no sensor, but this changes the way everything was reading. Not to mention Rand's lynch was completely based on those results. At least, for me they were.

The hooded figure fled the building, shedding his cape as he did so. It was Count Telrii, rumored to be receiving funds from Fjordell to take over the government with. After he had exited the palace, he slowed to a walk. He would simply stroll down to where his carriage was waiting and never be connected to the princess's death. A few streets away from his carriage he ran into a familiar face. "Ah, how nice to see, you... chtk!" The hulking figure grabbed him by the throat. "I understand you've been up to things lately," the figure said. "I don't like those things. I don't think you need to stay alive to continue them." The inhuman grip tightened, and Telrii's last thought was regret that he hadn't parked his carriage closer...

 

Peacesells, Telrii, Mafia goon, has been killed.
