Didn't know how many votes he had on him at the time, and quite frankly, I wouldn't have voted him after that post.. There must be some motive behind it, other than spreading WIFOM and making Darthe slip.

I thought symp meant that he was symp to town, and had infiltrated the mafia team somehow, and that he voted himself so we could verify his claim. I can't find symps listed in the thread linked in the mafia forum, do they have other names? I've never heard the term "symp" before.

OK, time for a full reveal. I'm Luke the symp. I know who the mafia are. And I could tell you who they are.

They are: Despo who is Mr. Pennybags, and his 4 railroad barons Thorum, Dicetosser1, Darthe and Bgrishinko.

Quite the contrary man, I highly doubt this list will suddenly start getting picked off left and right. I HIGHLY doubt David will flip symp (altho if he does and named 5 non-mafia for town to start lynching, that would be somewhat clever), so the town will basically be able to disregard his list. And besides, I even tho SOME of us (read: the scummy ones) may start catching heat because of the list, that makes it less likely that mafia will target the non-mafia on his list for NK's.

 

So I find your statement to be both wrong and scummy.

A symp is sympathetic to the mafia team, they don't start out on the mafia team's QT, but they win with mafia. Someone who starts out on the mafia team but is "sympathetic" to the town is known as a traitor. They can't come out and just name the mafia tho, they have to try and get the mafia to reveal themselves slyly

So he wasn't a symp. I highly disagree with the idea of completely disregarding the list. I am okay with being who we lynch off of it first since I realize that I am pushing the idea but I feel that if we lynch the scummiest players from it there is probably at least a scum on the list he made. Otherwise it would help the town in the long run.

@Tress, I honestly do not blame you one bit for suspecting me after you explained why. Its a solid reason. Honestly, I didn't read the opening post. Had I read it, I would have realized what I was saying was a dumb statement. I didn't think about everyone being property initially, I thought I was on to something. I flubbed it up. Simple as that.

@Darthe: I didn't say we should COMPLETELY disregard the list, only disregard it somewhat. We can use it as a tool, like any other bit of evidence in this game, but I just don't think we should limit our lynch pool to that list. And yes, you are prob the scummiest off that list now, seeing as how BG was both on the list and was apparently silenced. Scum could be distancing from him, but for now I'll believe that BG's slip was an honest mistake (but in the future BG, read any and all flavor, unless the mod specifically states there will be no evidence or hints in the scenes. Will prevent future mishaps)

Well tht I agree on. And if one post is enough to lynch me on then so be it, I am not hurt by that. I do believe this is being blown out of proportion though. I did not suggest that we kill all of the people on the list or that it was half of the things you and Arez seem to be saying for me. I simply said that those people are not likely to make it to endgame. It puts too much potential WIFOM on each of us. I can't blame the town for making the choice to kill each of us as it is what I would do but this ganging is beginning to strike me as pingy.

WOW. I wake up to this? Y'all had me going for a minute there. . .

 

I say we disregard the list entirely, because it presents too much wifom to make anything of it. If we say that there's got to be at least a baddie on that list, then we'll end up lynching all the town on it before we get to the mafia. On the other hand, and disregarding the list, Darthe is pinging like crazy.

 

Also, and I don't know who said it, but someone implied that the list would have different meaning if he were symp versus the goon that he was? What do you mean by that? EIther way he's mafia, to me.
