Yeah, I figure that past that it is a henderance to the entire team. Would probably rez a diff character with his role if I had a backup come along though.

Ishy - Pinging my for reasons stated before, I feel he changes who he backs, and doesn't really go after some one not already not mentioned. That and I'm sick of the spam, it's distracting, and very anti town to make people wade through pages of BS.

 

I'll get the pleasant stuff out of the way first. To address your first point, can you provide an example or two? I have backed exactly two players in this game and only one of them was due to gameplay. The other I was just backing because I agreed with his stance on a RL issue, one that had absolutely nothing to do with this game. I said I wanted to drop it, in fact, stayed away all of D1 to not have to deal with it and said I thought it was in poor taste to try and use as a game mechanic. But you lot just won't let it go.

 

Your second point: Lady, I could care less what you think of how I play this game. You don't like it? GFY. There was Mafia long before you showed up and it will be here long after you're gone. If you can't stand the way I play Mafia then fine, convince enough other players to get rid of me and lynch me. But if you think for one damn second that I'll change the way I play because it makes you butt hurt, you're in for a rude awakening. I consider Mafia to be a game and the point of playing is to have fun. I've played many times now and had a lot of fun and made many new friends, some I consider to be very good friends. And I did it by not taking this very seriously and trying to be entertaining and have a good time. And by playing it that way, guess what? I win nine times out of ten. So I must be doing something right, something that makes people like playing with me.

Basil - I don't care if it's a noob's current trend, quiet frankly it's distracting when I have to go through pages of casings as well. Spam never helps people who are actually trying to play the game. If you let him use it as an excuse to post a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with the game it will come back to bite you in the butt . I'm not saying he is doing to hurt the town on purpose, but I am saying the game is a lot better with out the nonsensical bs that no one here really cares about except for like maybe 2 people. It's a gag joke, spam what ever. Save it for night phase like it should be.

 

First bolded: So it's come to name calling then? Why don't you ask around and see who considers me a Mafia noob, kthxs.

 

Second: So if you don't care about it, then no one cares about it? I didn't realize you were such a Mafia god that you now speak for everyone in here. You've got a pretty high opinion of yourself huh? From what I can see, there are plenty of people that are happy to cut loose and have a little fun instead of agonizing about the super-important, all encompassing game of Mafia. Maybe you should ask others if they have a problem with the way I play instead of making blanket statements and putting words in other peoples mouths.

Such snark, second time you've been not very nice when some one says they don't like it because it makes it hard to play.

 

I don't really care about you one way or another, seeing as how you aren't the only one doing it. Nor I didn't claim any of the above such as "mafia god". However when you do mess up a game by not really caring about the game as a whole and having an F you attitude, then I feel you aren't really playing for the game at all, it's just a social I'm being cute event. No wonder people whine about it not being the same/good any more.

 

Granted it's changed a lot since I've played last on here, seeing as how now it's like 90% spam crap, less casings, and general pissieness towards another, but I still stand by when I say it's nothing more than a major hindrance to town, and annoying to people who actually play.

 

However, in the interest of not being a hypocrite with non game related posts, and since you suggested it already, I'll point out that I am already not above voting you off for it. It's listed in my reasons I would vote for you.

 

Now I'm sure I will wait for your rebuttal, but I've said my words on why I don't care for it and why it affects the general game play, (in a nice way, except for the "noob" term because to me I feel you are new to mafia, (granted it's not just you) which I won't retract) and I'm done discussing it.

How is the game messed up? No one else has a problem with it but you. If your game is messed up, yet no one else's is, that sounds like your own personal hang-up.

 

And as far as me not taking the game seriously, how would you know? You've never played with me before. When I play, I play to win. Even with my spammy, nonsensical, incoherent way of playing, I still win more often than not. And do it playing this way every time. Do you seriously think I can win at this game by not caring? I care plenty, I just don't take it seriously. Do you take a game of Monopoly seriously? That would just be very sad.

I know nae said something, but you bit her head off :rolleyes: I also know there is a whole thread about how to "fix" mafia or why it isn't as good as it used to be when I used to play here 2 + years ago. That is what I meant by whining.

 

And while you claim you play to win, you play for yourself, and screw whom ever else who gets in your way? Because it comes across that way. I'm not calling your spam scummy, I'm saying that spam distracts the town from A) wanting to read, B) makes it easier for scum to "post" and seem active and C) is a general annoyance when there are already other walls of text to read.

I'd also like to add, I'm not against Spam, trust me, been there done that. However I feel it makes a lot more sense to do it during the night phase when for the sake of safety not a whole lot of game related stuff should be made while night actions are still going on and may be influenced.

Limi, he has a point. This guy's a mafia genius, drunk or not. And besides, without spam, the game would have no reprieve from casings, attacks, and defenses. You need eggs in a cake as much as you need flour. (the eggs make it fluffy, the flour provides the substance, for those of you who don't bake)
