Really? How could we know? We didn't know ahead of time that we would still be allowed to post on this thread. Or that we would still be able to communicate with anyone else. Just because you don't agree with the decisions of some people doesn't make them stupid. Like I said this is not my first rodeo with DPR. I never put anything post him. Everyone could have been silenced by touching the box, even if they declined the invitation to go aboard. It could be a role steal just by touching. You never know with DPR. Why risk everyone that I know with absolute certainty are town for the chance to go aboard the ship?

Really ... people are being converted from Town you know? I doubt anyone who is converted would tell you.

I doubt anyone who is converted will be able to still converse with their teammates. But I've been known to be wrong. However I think seeing as this is only Day 4 and we know 2 of those converted the chances are in my favor.

So you'll believe Ithi, who's been under a bit of suspicion for acting strangely and who did not touch the box, but not JLM, who as far as I can see hasn't been particularly noteworthy and whose only crime is not touching the box? But one is a liar and the other is truthful, somehow. Yeah, lots of sense-making here.

 

Personally, I sympathize with those who chose not to get an invite. I almost didn't bother myself. Wasn't sure it would be worth my time.

All I can say is I simply didn't want to. It never occured to me to think of it like you did - that it would be harmless to at least touch it. I didn't want to go, therefore I stayed away.

It has ever been the pastime of man to contemplate the future, and as The Dark Monocle let his thoughts drift toward his, a smile began to form at the corner of his mouth. He envisioned a future where ubiquitous overconfidence led many astray, where fear and suspicion led to others ruin, and where sheer madness took the rest over the side of a cliff. His smile widened.

Automatons scurried over the airship, though these were not disguised.

"A few more problems solved, and this city will be mine", he thought. "Just a few more..."

Deftly handling the controls, he positioned the airship to hover over the landing field. Smaller craft could carry those aboard who wished to view his wonder, and he would send those down in due time. But for now, he leaned back and watched as individuals gathered beneath him to stare up. He leaned back and smiled fully. It would not be long now.

 

 

Also, how does this not sound ominous enough for you to hesitate about going on board.
