The force that corrupts? Or a curious thing?

Could be anything. Power. Love.

The force that corrupts = the taint?

I think "Power" is the best answer. "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." And to quote Albus Dumbledore (I know -_-): "'It is a curious thing, Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it." Seeing as Ithi is a Harry Potter fan, I'd say it sounds likely.

Any Purples wanna weigh in, or should I go for it?

OMG - you have no idea how offensive that is. Where on earth did you get that idea from - I should deduct 20 points!!! THIS is what I was referring to ...

I can't think of anything else at the moment, depends if you want to wait for any other ideas?

I think we should go for it. I'm fairly happy it seems to fit, and:

The answers to all of these questions are single every day words that also commonly appear in the Wheel of Time books.

Lots of banging on about power in the WoT.

Power.

Yayayayay!!!!!!!!!

Athena jerks upright, thrashing and flailing.

That scurvy footpad! STab a woman in the back like that and...

She blinks and looks around.

Why, I must have been asleep. Go for it Ayla and dapianoplayer. I'm sure you know more about Pooh than I do. Let's get going.

I think it's a heron. It's a mark of skill, it spears fish with its long beak. I don't get the "another" fish thing though. I'd be ok with trying that if someone wants to make it official.
