thoughts on a game setup

just kinda looking for a reaction and people thought on balence and enjoyability

 

i was thinking of maybe one day doing a game along these specifications

 

  • kitchen sink
  • all roles hidden
  • neighbour groups
  • everyone with PRs
  • no mafia nk

 

everyone would send in a night action, including passive roles, thus keeping the annonimity.

i was thinking about 22 players, 1-3 mafia factions, perhaps one having to fine the other members, one knowing, one serial killer, or any combination therein.

PRs would consist of the inclusion of one word, possible penalties for forgeting = vote not counting. after three strikes

 

 

thoughts?

 

roles assigned more or less at random, with an eye to making sure the mafia didnt get to powerful.

no fractional nk. if i added a vig, and serial killer roles there would be night kills. just if there were that and two or three factional nks, i thought it might be a bit much to have 4 or 5 kills a night

running the numbers it seems even, assuming my maths is right, but thats not taking into account the non-nk roles

 

but i always liked the idea of having certain groups be able to talk outside the thread, i always thought it was more fun and produced more gambitry. but neighbour groups mean it cant easily be broken like if it were just mason and mafia groups.

 

giving everyone a night action i figured would kkeep everyone engaged, will giving the extra dimention of them trying to figure out what their role does

 

i was considering making it an open setup too, but im not sure

i think i had someone speak in poetry once .., i know i had a game where someone had to speak with only pictures, and a few other ones like that, you should have a look at the mad hatter game i ran .. it got very complicated, and controversial

 

the thing i worry about with PRs is that complicated ones might slow down the game and make people post less, because they find it to hard to, and so they would get bored of it, sdo i was thinking of going for mostly pretty simple ones to make the posts more interesting, but not to inhibit game play too much, or would some people like some more complicated ones thrown in there?
