yeah. i thought you knew, i could hav e sworn i wrote somewhere that killed ghosts return to their normal alignnments... oh well, it wasnt like you could have helped your cult win or anything at that point lol

 

 

 

 

the main thing that bugged me was how quickly the cults went down. they were supposed to be the major players lol.

I agree; but I think it was really just a stroke of bad luck.

 

The setup has lost the element of surprise, but I think it would be pretty fun to run again in the future, and see what happens if the cults don't get so unlucky. XD

I think this game was amazingly good and pretty well balanced. It was just that we had so amazing luck that this ended so fast (and well). But this was maybe most exciting game I've played for long while (and I think my role was very fun to play).

I started as a town ghost then got recruited by Kivam. Pretty disappointing for my first time being scum with Kivam. Tbh I thought I was still cult at the end. Blackhoof, did killing me turn me town or something? Not sure how I feel about the cult usurpers. Would probably have worked better if Min had known how usurper is typically played (either coordinate a gambit or bide one's time).

 

Well, that was why I recruited you (you're always saying we've never been scum together)

 

And no, Usurper on a 2 man team is NOT balanced.

I can't claim to know anything about game balance, and bow to your superior wisdom, Kivam. In my experience with *this* game, though, from the standpoint of a Usurper, I didn't think it was that unfair. You may have noticed or not, but Min and I obviously played the role very differently. I was planning on biding my time and hoping to get Red lynched later on in the game, after we had substantial recruiting history or something.

 

I was NOT planning on her being NKed and Banished on the first 2 successive nights, and being daykilled on Day 2. XD

 

Again, no idea how that actually works, but it didn't seem unfair in my mind.

The reason it doesn't work is that on a two man team, a non-usurper stands no chance. You would have taken out Red eventually, meaning you would have taken over the cult win (with the cult leader dead, the cult stands no chance and thus it would either be you survive and win, or you die and you and red both lose). With a mafia team, if the usurper dies, the usurped player can still have a team win (hence, balanced)
