Maw stepped up to the chalkboard while the rest of the group shuffled their feet. “According to the instructions, we need to find 3 individuals not included this loonies spy; so in order for the rest of us to escape we have to find those 4 people. Anyone want to volunteer to give us the keys and the code?”

 

Nol spoke up from the group, “You know, you sure do know a lot about this situation! Ho do we know you’re not the spy from this nut job that kidnapped us!” “Or one of these unrepeatable criminals and are only trying to get the 3 keys and code to save yourself” an unknown person shouted from somewhere in the crowd. Most of the group nodded and murmured their agreement; Maw put up his hands in defense.

 

“Look, I don’t know any more than ya’ll do; but it’s all here on the chalkboard, read it for your own eyes if you don’t believe me.” The people looked at each other with uncertainty while Nol continued to pin Maw with a suspicious glare. “But what about the clock, there has to be a reason why an alarm would go off 5 minutes before the hour is up!” Sakaea spoke up from where she was still crouched. “The board says something about this spy overseeing and making our retribution is complete, right?” JLM said, the shakiness now gone from her voice and the color returning to her cheeks. Maw nodded. “Well, maybe the alarm is to warn us that we need to go ahead and pick someone before the guy who kidnapped us takes it into his own hands.” As JLM finished her line of thought, a buzzing of conversation broke out in the crowd.

Ley raised his voice over the crowd. “Simmer down you guys, I think JLM is right.” He looked at the clock which was minutes away from counting down the 24^th hour. “And if she is, that means we don’t have much time. So we can either take matters into our own hands, or let this creaton decide for us.”

 

Some of the group looked unsure and remained silent, while others nodded their agreement. “This goon has done enough deciding as far as I’m concerned, I say we pick Maw; he seems to know a bit too much about this and there’s just something about him.” Ishy proclaimed. Mutters of agreement broke out and the group moved toward Maw, who backed up until he was pressed behind the wall. “Search his pockets!” yelled Tina from near the back of the crowd.

 

“Hey guys, whoah! Easy now. I get that were all angry and a bit scared, but we can work this out like adults!” Maw said, nervousness creeping into his voice and sweat beading on his brow. “Save your pleas for someone who cares!” shouted Hoof as the crowd pressed in on Maw, closing off any chance of escape or ability to fight back.

 

His breathing became short and his chest tightened as panic and the overwhelming urge to flee coursed through his body; Maw found it harder and harder to breath, as a panic attack over took him. Gasping for breath, he put a hand up to his throat, his eyes pleading for help; yet the crowd pushed on, ignoring the obvious signs of distress. “He’s just faking it!” someone claimed from the crowd and all of them nodded in agreement.

 

Panic overcoming him, Maw tried to push his way through the crowd to fresh air, but the crowd pushed back, pinning him against the wall as their hands searched his person for anything that would gain them the freedom they so desired. Helpless now, Maw’s struggles became weaker as the panic attack turned into an asthema attack. His throat swelled shut and his lips began to turn blue; his lungs screaming for oxygen that wouldn’t dome. Knowing he was trapped, Maw did the only thing he knew he had control of to do; he gave into the death that was coming. His body went limp against the hands holding him back and he closed his eyes, appearing to drift off into a peaceful sleep as the life left his body.

 

“He’s dead, and there’s no key or code on him either!” someone yelled out in anguish as the crowd pulled back form Maw’s lifeless corpse.

Its best not to reveal any information duuring night, as those "unrepentable criminals" (the mafia, i would say), and Jigsaw's spy (who i assume is a serial killer) can use any information revealed to base their NK's off. Nolder is a likely target now, which would pin suspicion on verbal. however, by declaring that he is useful, Nolder has made an attractive target for a Doc protection.

 

regardless, the less game-related substance we talk about, the better.

I would like to hear from Nol too, but I have to be honest, I didn't get a really scummy vibe from anyone on D1, nor did I read much info from Maw's lynch. Tina just seemed to be trying to move the game along so I'm willing to give her a pass. With all that being said, I think we need to look into the players that have been inactive and try to prod them into getting involved, most notably Nyn and Christine. I think between the two of them, they've made a total of three posts, Nyn to check in and say she'd reread and get back to us (which still hasn't happened), and Christine just popped in and voted the mod.

 

At this point, I'd rather keep the players that are active, scum or not, and start picking off those that contribute nothing.

 

Lastly, I've noticed that Ley and Maw have this serious rivalry going on, no matter where they are on DM. Some story I'm missing out on?

Ley belong to the Light Faction in the Black Tower and Maw recently joined the Shadow faction (a good decision ). It´s just their way to show love. lol

I don't know how it started. Only that it was at the Black Tower. He joined somewhat after me, and I've done some serious effort trying to convince him to join the Light, while he had made a siggy for the Shadow (he also made one for the Light, I have it), and, well, we had a Duel, an One Power fight, we started playing chess, and so on. So we just became rivals. I know, I'm just rambling.
