So hey there, nice to meet you all, I started reading the wheel of time books earlier this year and just recently finished The Towers of Midnight but because none of my friends are big on reading or found the book too long winded to keep their interest I decided to come to the internet to find people I can talk to about the books . Can't wait to dive into this forum and see what amazing stories and theories you have all come up with.

 

so yer I guess that's really it, I look foreword to seeing all of you around the forums.

I can totally relate to what you're feeling. Most Israelies never read a WoT book, let alone heard of the series. It's all Harry Potter here, LoTR there, Song of Ice and fire EVERYWHERE. But you pop WoT to them and they're like..... what? :P So I can totally understand the need to reach out online to find the WoT crowd. Though I have to mention that we have quite a few aussies running around the site so maybe you could find someone that lives near by that you could befriend. I've seen it happen before :)

 

I know you're all jazzed up about getting deep into WoT discussions and read about all the weird/awesome theories out there. But you should also take a peek at the Social and Role Play groups and see if you find anything you fancy.

This is what happened to me! A friend gave me the first book a couple years ago and kept bugging me to read it until I finally did and now I am completely sucked in! LOL
