@Christine - thanks!

You still scare the crap out of me, DPR.

I want to make a vote on which one I think is the scummiest, but I am rather tired. I think that I shall instead wait till the morning when I can better read these. A lot of people have made good points in their responses to the posts, but I really want to read each of them with a clear head.

At the moment, though, I am rather annoyed with the people that are getting on the 3 of us NOT tested in the fast game. There was a whole nother group NOT in the Fast Game. Also, the people that were cleared are most likely to be bitten, as they were recently cleared. The fact that we weren't tested doesn't mean anything. I really wish people would move on from that. I wanted to be tested sooner but got told to wait. I mean really?

Seriously, next fast game, I am getting tested first.

You really want to read the numbered posts that we are supposed to base on votes on with a clear head.... but then you digress into defending about something from the Fast Game.

To me this is a contradiction of agenda, you say you want a clear head - but then delve into a defense when everyone should clearly be evaluating the numbered posts and voting on them, and them alone. This is a bit subversive imo.

I'll vote when a couple more people have had their say

I think our reactions to these messages are just as important as the messages themselves

#9. I was thinking of buying the CL role.I was pretty indecisive, and was given a moral dilemma in which I could spend apoint to know if I should or shouldn't buy it, I was given a big fat no youdon't want this role. So there is definitely something up with the role, and Iwouldn't trust Jack D. Also verb was on my team. I am town, so there are vampsamong us.

Didn't even answer the questions that the mod asked us to ask. What is up with that? Seriously can you all not follow the rules?

Vote #9 for not answering the mod's questions.

This was my 3rd favorite. I wanted to come back to it... this was somebody ignoring the mod's actual questions and using this Q&A exercise as an additional forum to build a case versus Jack.

I perpetuated the opposition to Jack's "lie detect me" proposal earlier because A.) I didn't believe him, and B.) I'm not so arrogant to think I'm always right, and if he IS a what he says he is, then I think that is a powerful enough adversary to the vampires to make it worthwhile for them to stick their neck out... hence, IF Jack is legit, I fear Lily is not. She worked harder on knocking down every statement Jack made, than I've ever seen her work a case before. It smelled like a vampire on a mission to make sure Jack got lynched, even if she would end up being the next one lynched.

Lily are you a vampire?

Aren't you the guy that said the single most telling thing anyone does in mafia is their vote.... and you want to wait to place yours until after you see what a few more people are going to do?

Yet your case on me on D1 was that I voted Blackhoof and cased him first.

You are 100% scum. I guarantee it.

IMO I don't like that post, but I believe the mod was just writing those questions to give people an idea on how a blind game works. So the part about not answering the question doesn't bother me so much as the moral delima and just basically not saying anything other then don't trust me.

Well after readingg them I have to agree with john I think Number 15 is a bit bbrief with noo real content that's helpful. I can't say that any were crazy insightful but most at lest put some effort into the task, also the go townies almost seems like its tauntingg us..

first of all I think you'll agree with me that mafia has at least three stages of gameplay

early game, mid game, and end game

secondly there are ways to approach playing the game that are acceptable in one stage but not another

you with me so far?

what you were doing to blackhoof felt like play that didn't belong in the early game to me

as we saw later blackhoof is prone to slips but I saw that initial slip as no more than a mistake

when I saw you going at him it looked like you were taking an easy mistake and twisting it to seem like he was scum

despite the fact that he was scum I stand by my decision to question you at that time

and for the record I had no "case" on you

I was merely disagreeing with how you were handling blackhoof

if I thought you were scum I would have voted you

anyway to answer your question

yes I did say that and yes I believe that

is there anything wrong with waiting to see how other people vote before voting myself?

15. 1. A summary of what they think isgoing on. - That you are having fun! :) It's obvious there are now werewolvesrunning around among the vampires and townies, as to if they are protown or notis yet to be seen. 2. A listing of who they think is avampire. I think Alanna and maybe nolder are vampires. 3. Doubts or questions you have aboutyour team-mates. None that I can think of so far. 4. Anything else of value that youthink will benefit you and your win condition. Go townies! :)

Of the sixteen pm's, this one is by far the scummiest one to me. It is too short, and it does not reveal nearly enough information. It looks like this poster is purposely attempting to not reveal very much about himself/herself or his/her thoughts about this game. This appears to be the kind of post that a scum whom is doing a lot of lurking would make. The "Go Townies!" just about cries out for attention and is a very, very clear scum tell.

Therefore, I VOTE #15

Posted

No. Are you? You fought just as hard against Jack.

Nope, I'm not scum. As you know, I will always jump right in and push on someone if I think there is an opportunity to agitate to the point where someone slips.

I contend that I'm still not comfortable having Jack try to pied-piper us around with his self-serving scheme, but it never hurts to consider what the other side of the argument's motivators might be. ;)

DPR, how is this working? Do we need a majority, or what?

Yes. I have been unexpectedly delayed fighting monsters. i will be back with a vote count with all due haste.

I'm not arguing this. I saw right through Blackhoof, case him, voted him and YOU started and argument to kill any momentum on his train... he was scum. You can type as many incomplete sentences as you want, you derailed a D1 case on scum. Either you have terrible instincts or you are scum. A townie would have let that train go for a bit, let more people take sides... instead you started talking in circles and took teh focus off of Blackhoof.

You can vote whenever you want, but you should expect to be called out when you proclaim voting as the most telling thing about what people do, and then decide to wait for a train to hop on. Which is how I view what you want to do now.

As far as your stages of the game, I don't buy into ANY of that. I hunt scum. I case people, I push people and I find scum. You want to play by the book go ahead, so far its helped you derail a lynch on a vampire right out of the gate. My first two votes of the game were JLM and Blackhoof. Boom.

I know what I think. I know how I feel. I know what my role is. I don't need to "Think" about it. I don't need to plot out a plan to tell lies. I am Vanilla Townie, and Min can Lie Detector that if she wants, and I don't need to be thinking clear in order to say that I am innocent and its bull that I am considered a possible vampire just because I didn't get tested. 16 people didn't get tested, why am I one of three being targeted for not being tested?

In reading everyone else's posts, I have to read between the lines. At one glance, there is quite a few that scream scum. There is also quite a few that are too innocent to be innocent. I don't like flippy flopping my votes, therefore, I make an educated decision before voting. That means I will vote once I am really awake.

I have got to say i agree with John here, you can't make a point of saying how important one person's vote is and then say you are waiting to see who else votes where and not expect to get called out on it.

Sass me all you want... you are avoiding the point of my post. I pointed out how you said you wanted to clear your head before you read the blind answers, but then make a blatant defense of yourself for game content that doesn't need to be defended right now. How can you read those blind answers with a clear head, if you are kicking the hornets nest by starting a discussion around defending yourself? Like I said, contradiction of stated agendas.

no offense dude but I think you're expecting too much of me and possibly the crowd here

I don't make any claim to be great at mafia

it seems like anyone who isn't playing to your standards is automatically fos'd

but anyway I find it hard to believe you were that sure of blackhoof at that point in the game

if you did good for you I guess but I don't feel there was enough evidence for you to be that sure

maybe you just feel more confident in retrospect?

my intent was not to derail your case

merely to question you

which I did and it devolved much like our current discussion already seems to be devolving

why are we rehashing blackhoof? if you have a question or concern about me then voice it

further discussion of that incident wont get us anywhere new

You can vote whenever you want, but you should expect to be called out when you proclaim voting as the most telling thing about what people do, and then decide to wait for a train to hop on. Which is how I view what you want to do now.

my intentions were to view if any trains formed but your opinion of me is already colored so I can hardly blame you for being cynical I suppose

I'm just trying to get as much information as I can before I vote

if you're going to begrudge me that than so be it

As far as your stages of the game, I don't buy into ANY of that. I hunt scum. I case people, I push people and I find scum. You want to play by the book go ahead, so far its helped you derail a lynch on a vampire right out of the gate. My first two votes of the game were JLM and Blackhoof. Boom.

here's what I'm reading "blah blah blah I got lucky twice and now I'm going to use my voting record to validate myself"

let's not forget that as someone who has supposedly been such a successful vampire hunter (perhaps you already knew who they were?) you're a prime candidate for recruitment

you said you're not scum but can you please repeat the phrase "I am not a vampire OR a werewolf" for us?

no wiggle room for you there
