[Advanced Mafia] The Black Ajah - Sign Ups Closed

Game will begin later today (3/23) or tomorrow.

 

They are among you. All of you. Though no one even dares to admit their existance, this threat can no longer be denied: the Black Ajah. They are in the White Tower. They are in the rebel camp. They are traveling with the Dragon Reborn, they are working with the Forsaken, they are in Camelyn, Cairhien, Tear...

 

They are everywhere.

 

It is up to the Aes Sedai, the true Aes Sedai, sworn to the Light and to the White Tower, to hunt them down and put them to death, one by one, until they are no longer a threat. But the Black Ajah will not go quietly. They will do whatever they can to kill anyone who gets in their way...

Please sign on as a backup if you're interested! I don't like to replace people with players who were already in the game, so some backups are always appreciated.

 

You do not need any knowledge of the subject material to play this game: that's all for flavor. If you are new to online mafia, then this is probably not the game for you. This isn't a traditional mafia setup, and newbie players would probably benefit from a more basic game to begin with.

 

I need 18 players. Please pick your number when you sign up! It will determine your role.

 

Setup: There will be a number of teams, and every player in this game will be on a team. Mafia wins in the usual way, with a voting majority, and innocents win the usual way, with all the mafia dead. A lynch will take place every game day. A nightkill, however, will have to be earned. How? More details on that later

 

A few rules you should be aware of (full rule list will be posted in the game thread):

-A lynch will be held every Day Phase requiring a majority (half the players plus 1). This is a hammer game - once the hammer falls, that's it, day over, no one can vote or unvote. You may not vote for 'no-lynch.' Deadlines for Day Phases will likely be determined on a day-by-day basis. Night Phases will be 48 hours.

-No alignment or group reveals. This mean you cannot say 'I am on Team A' or 'I am on a team with him and her.'

-You may only communicate off-thread in a QT provided in your role PM. You may not communicate with anyone else, or in any other way, about the game. If you have concerns about another player, come to me with those concerns, and I will address them.

-Absolutely no editing your posts. If you need to correct a typo, want to add more, etc. - just double post

-You MUST make a content-related post at least once every game day (and I do mean at least, bare minimum - you really should be posting more than that). If you do not do this, you will be modkilled. This game will only be fun if everyone's into it. As an occasional lurker myself, I understand lurking as a playing technique, but simply not keeping up with the game will not be tolerated. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

 

I understand things come up in RL. If you need to take a short LOA (read: short=less than a week), let me know and we can work something out. If something more serious comes up and you can't keep up, please let me know so I can replace you.

Got you all added. Csarmi, I think you'll be fine - everyone will be on a team, after all, so you should have people to help you. I just didn't want complete newbies coming in to play this game without having any idea of what a basic mafia game is like. I think you need to have played at least one normal game to play this one.
