Bah, if you had a signing event near me I'd have totally applied.

Still, good luck to those who do apply! And massive envy to those who actually get picked.

The deadline for applications is 11:59 PM (U.S. Pacific Time) on September 8th.

I'm guessing you mean October 8? That, or the Wheel has a reverse gear we didn't know about!

Yes, I did, lol. I'll fix that tonight.

I was a Storm Leader last year and it was awsome and totally worth the effort. You really get to know Brandon and Harriett in a behind the scenes manner. I would do it again in an instant.

Applications are raining in, you geeks! Love it. Keep 'em coming.

I wonder if the choice of names this time around foreshadows heavy fighting by the guard in ToM?

Nope. It points to amazingly creative language skillz. The Gathering Storm got Storm Leaders, Towers of Midnight gets Tower Guard. I made the point that we're going to end up with Brandon being escorted around by Whitecloaks for a Memory of Light.

None, sadly. I be an Auslander, so though I will organise (slave to achieve) your fun, I shall not enjoy it.

I know Google maps has awesome kayaking directions to the united states and it's only 22,730km taking 54 days... so if you speed you might make it in time >.<

Video conference? Either way I'm sorry that you can't make it for this, I say we make a plan to seduce Sanderson into visiting Australia for aMoL release, something involving a trail of magic cards maybe...

Thanks for all you've done and are doing for this and just everything. Let us who get the spoils of your labor know if we can do anything... like mail you a signed copy or something.

That's just hilarious that Google Maps actually says that.

Anyway, here's hoping that you WOT fans down under get your wish one day. I can't say as it would be impossible for me to make the 800-mile trip to the nearest book signing, although highly improbable. Maybe I'm just not dedicated enough. I might try it for the AMoL release.

I bought a kayak today. Let it be known that if I perished, I died doing what I love--which is to say, following through on Al Jenn Mael's insane suggestions.

Well if you do die I'll make sure to buy Towers of Midnight and A Memory of Light when they're released for you to be buried with...

Actually I think I will personally buy your casket and make it out of wheel of time paraphernalia and line the inside with all the books.

And on your tombstone will be Mats (And the BotRH Social Group) phrase: Dovie'andi se tovya sagain. Shai'tan Seia.

If only I could kayak to get to one of these, I'd totally do it. I'd hitch-hike, but that sounds kinda dangerous.

Awesome. It is now in my will that you are in charge of my remains.

Hmmm... wait a minute...

All said funeral arrangements are null and void should you die in any method not following your passion for WoT. So if you piss Thor off and he decides to strike you down...
