Demandred - not seen but heard?

I think he must be real pissed still over what happened in the AoL.  Not just at LTT but also because he was winning when Ishamael called him and the others to SG.  So I think he is probably also somewhere where Moridin could not do that so easily again, someplace not even he would want anything to do with if it could be helped.  Land of the Madmen maybe.

I have no idea where you got that from.

It was a meeting between the Forsaken, they could Travel wherever they liked.

Theres no evidence that Ishamael called them (or if so, quote?)

They didnt pull all of their armies out, it was just a meeting, like the ones they have now.

They certainly didnt expect to be sealed away.

I sincerely doubt thats what Demandred is thinking, the DO most likely called the meeting, and you dont ignore summons from the DO.

Besides, he goes to most of the meetings anyway. And with Travelling, Moridin could find him.

I don't know the exact amount of time difference but any description I can find seems to indicate that Demandred and Be'lal were going to win inevitable victories, advancing on the CD.  Then LTT striked at SG out of desperation, I don't own the guide book or whatever which is I'm assuming the source material?  I think I may have accidently assumed Ishamael was playing a role similar to the one he is now, above the forsaken.  You're right as far as I know.  Haha sorry that really was a pretty big goof.

I don't think I've seen the DO himself make a direct summons though, just through his agents.

Your right that Demandred, Sammael and Be'lal wereabout to win. And LTT did strike out of desperation, all in the guide book. I wasnt having a go at you about Ishamael, i was actually curious, if he did make the summons, but i dont think thtas the case, or at least, there is no evidence.

I was just saying that I dont know how anyone could have known that LTT was going to strike, IIRC, in the guide, it said it was a "coincidence" that they found them in the meeting at SG.

And your right about the DO not making direct summons, I was just saying, even if an agent told you "the DO wants to meet" you would do it anyway? Im not exactly sure on that point, but yeaha.

I was just confused, I tht you thought Ishamael wanted the Forsaken to be trapped and the Light to win.

:D

Well I think if the interval theory is correct and he was being released every so often, almost like clockwork, then there's a lot you can do with 3000 years of time versus just 'waking' once in the present.  Not that Ishamael necessarily experienced all those 3000 years but enough to lay plans with a very long time horizon.  His POV is pretty weird, very different than the others.

I have a feeling Demandred is with the borderlanders army. One of the description of a Kandori Courtier said he was handsome and always looks as though his clothes were freshly laundered, even with all the dust. Asmodeans clothes were described the same way

I think it's certain that we';ve heard his name mentioned at least once, probably several times.

Otherwise it would seem like a very very badly thought out disguise

"And suddenly this random person appeared leading the Borderlanders and went "Haha, I'm Demandred fool"".

Ok, well you get my point.

On a related note when I read the thread title I thought you were going to say that the ALL CAPS VOICE AT THE END OF TEOTW was Demandred.

My thought was that Demanded was masquerading as King Roedran of Murandy. I seem to remember him having some kind of deal with Talmanes to help him gather the Murandian nobles to him, or some how unite all the relevant factions behind him.Something Im assuming Demeandred would want because a unified country is much easier to mobilize and will have greater resources to draw upon in terms of equipment and manpower.

Also, we see from Talmanes PoV him telling Mat about the deal he made with Roedran and the fact that Roedran was happy with their arrangement because he gives Talmanes the book that mats always quoting from " fog & steel " but he also implies that Roedran was about to turn on him or some thing similar.

I will try to find the relevant quotes for you all.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Demandred is not mazrim taim.  We've heard it so many freaking times from RJ and brandon recently repeated it on twitter...

# elektrotal @BrandonSandrson  there's no way in hell that demandred ISNT taim.

# BrandonSandrson @elektrotal Except, you know, RJ saying five or six times he wasn't...

We know he has an later ego though somewhere:

# Okay, @DirektorDoom asks a question I get on tour. "Is it possible to figure out Demandred's identity with the information we have?

# And now, Theoryland is holding its breath. I think I might have actually answered on tour. I'm not sure what RJ said on the matter, but...

# I will say only this. There ARE clues. I think it could be figured out. Maybe. It's much, much harder than Asmo's killer.

#    Obviously, I must be tight-lipped. Can it be figured out: Yes. Will it make you smack your heads & say "I should have seen it!" Probably not

The quote that "we have not seen Demandred on scren"... came BEFFORE TGS was written.  What exactly was published when the time this came out.  So its possible that we HAVE seen Demandred in books that came out AFTER RJ said that quote.

... so what's your theory Luckers? :)
