Who's up for this?

 

Come on folks, the more the merrier, look at the other two games I ran if you're unsure how it'll work. It'll be based on the second one. I would like 20ish people, though.

 

When you sign up, you may design a role as well and PM it to me. You don't have to do this straight away, but I need it before the game starts (obviously). I reserve the right to modify roles. Things that most often get modified are:

 

1) Killing roles.

2) Absolute Investigation roles, like cop.

3) Ridiculous roles, like "you win immediately".

4) Roles that indicate win conditions, like "You are a serial killer" or "You are a survivor".

 

Good roles are subtle, slightly bastardly, and/or designed to have a minimal impact on the game. I'd love a few roles designed to make players tear out their hair, though, of course. Note that everybody will have a chance to play every role, as they will rotate every night. Note then that roles are therefore independent of alignment - one man's serial killer is another's vigilante is another's mafia goon. It's all just the basic killing role.

Oh this sounds like somethings Crusher would like.  Now by roles do you mean roles or if I wanted to design my own Roll would that be ok?  I was thinking something pumpernickel with sesame seeds, poppy seeds and bacon.  Oh yes, this game will be yummy.

I want to play... but I have very little experience with Mafia. What kind of role would be the best?

You could try browsing a bit throught this mafia wiki.

 

Or check out the roles invented in the two first editions of this game.

 

Just be original ;D. Pandy will make it workable if it's not 100%

 

As a first mafia-game, however, there are better choices to be made than a create-your-own-role game... For example Wombat's game a bit down the list, or a Harry Potter game in the White Tower, or ...

I'm in a SG mafia game as well; it's a standard game. I've played mafia before, but not with that many variants. :P I'll check out the link and then PM my thoughts. Thanks.
