WHOO HOO!! *claps and bounces all around*

It's time for our POSTCARD exchange!

This is really become one of the most participated in and active exchanges here at the Kin!  Sometimes it seems to go on for months even!  LOL  As folks receive their postcards, they post here!  It's fun to see who sent what kind of card and to who...

And, this is pretty inexpensive so lots of our members get to participate!

It costs 28 cents to mail a postcard in the USA.  From the USA to anywhere overseas, the stamp is 98 cents!  A postcard to Canada from the USA is 75 cents!  If any of you overseas know the costs in reverse could you please post them?  *smiles*

A postcard can cost anywhere from fifty cents to five dollars! (those are the really fancy ones!)  OR you can make the postcard!  Let your kid's draw a picture, print out a picture and glue it on it, or cover it with stickers even!  *grins*   All you need is a piece of cardstock that measures 4 X 6 inches!

So this is how we'll do it this year!  :D

Everyone that signs up will send out THREE cards.  One will be to the person who signs up after you!  One will be to the third person who signs up after you!  And the third one is to anyone on the Kin Contact List that DID NOT sign up!

This way you can go ahead and start mailing cards as people are signing up!  I am also going to let you know that you DO NOT have to do the third card, but I hope you will!  In the past, some of our members who haven't been around for awhile, get a card, feel loved and missed...and they show back up!

If you cannot find the address of the person who is right after you or third after you, contact me by PM and I will get you hooked up!  *bounces, grinning and eyes twinkling*

OK!  Get ready!  Get Set!  GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I'm in and a postcard to USA from the UK is about 68 pence I think, trying to recall from last year. Under a pound anyway.

I'd love it if everyone sent a postcard to everyone who signs up! *sighs* That way when people drop the ball (because RL eats everyone up from time to time), we still get happy mail. I meant to talk to you about this before you posted it, but I guess the stress got to me and I forgot.

Either way, if you can swing it, think about those extra stamps.

Oh, and I'm in!

*pokes lor for fun*  in the past postcard swaps we have invited/encouraged everyone to send a card to as many kinsters as they could, but still set out the basic number and who to send to!  *grins*  like i know i am sending one to tay as my first and you sister dear as the third after me!  (just to clarify the directions), but i always send a card to every kinster i have an address for!  that way i know every one gets a card!  i'd love to hear from more than one person!  sorry i forgot to mention and suggest including everyone or as many as each of you can!                                                                              the other thing i forgot, is we will keep the sign up open until the end of the month!  since you know who yiu have as they sign up and not have to wait to find out there is no need for a cut off!  *grins*  and you can add any and everyone else as you can then!      i am posting by phone, hope this makes sense...

Postcards are now not in common use. It is being said that we should use Internet to avoid using paper.

And i don't know anyone's address to post it. but if it is only for showing here then i could certainly search old ones or try to make some.

hi pankuri! i don^t think ive met you yet! hi, im twinnie!  postcards are still popular in the usa! in fact more so now than in the past few years because the pistage is cheaper!  you can buy them at bookstores, card shops, and drug stores.  you can even buy blank packages of them in craft stores to make your own!  i also gave basic directions on how to make your own in my first post.  just be sure you do not use plain paper!  they need to be made of a paper weight like that of a greeting card!    also you will find addresses in the kin contact thread at the farm board!  if the people you have are nit on the list, just pm them for their address.  if you have any questions just pm me or lor!!        so..who else is signing up?  *grins*  i mailed a bunch today!!  if you dont get one...i dont have your address *bounces*  i LOVE HAPPY MAIL!!  ~twinnie!

No Onis, the addresses are on the "Kin Contact List", on the Farm board. If someone's address isn't there, just PM them and request it for the exchange. So all you have to do is identify the 1st and 3rd people who signed up after you and go find their addresses on the List. The last postcard can be to anyone who did NOT sign up for the exchange.  :) Hope that helps.

My address is not in the contact list. I can't have it posted in an open forum. If someone are going to send me a card, please PM me to get my name and address.
