  1. This year I'm going to try for twenty-four books, two per month. Like last year, I'm going to try and keep track of how many pages the books are, for my own information. I will put them in by the page numbers on Amazon since most of the books I read anymore are Kindle e-books. 5/24 = 20.8% Total Pages Read = 2,175 Average Pages per Book = 435 January - Goal Progress 0/2 February - Goal Progress 3/4 Body of Evidence by Patricia Cornwell - 448 pages (reread) All That Remains by Patricia Cornwell - 481 pages (reread) Cruel a

Most of the time you're seeing what's happening from the PoV character's view point. You get their experiences, sensations, view points, and internal monologue. It's more evident earlier in the series when you're looking at the same set of events from multiple view points, but it stays consistent. The only times that it breaks this PoV character view point are in the intro paragraphs (before the wind gets to the characters at which point they pick it up) and the quotes at the beginning. As for the wind intros they are pretty much the "In the beginning..." statements of the books and I like tha
  6. While this is a hard question I ultimately have to go with Min. I think she has to be the bravest character in the whole thing. How many times is she surrounded by things trying to kill her or kill those with her? Most of the time she's surrounded by those who can channel and they're having a tough time of it or she's with the Aiel who are lifelong warriors and she fearlessly goes to battle with them all with just some knives up her sleeves. While I have to applaud her knife throwing skills you would think that with all she's been through and all she's faced she would be scared to death! I kno
  7. I surprised myself last year, but with the increased demands of school I'm going to lower my expected total this year. I'm going to try for 36 this year (3 per month). I will put them in by the page numbers on Amazon since most of the books I read anymore are Kindle e-books. I am also going to try finish the rest of the WoT books that I didn't get through last year. 26/36 = 72.2% Total Pages Read = 11,235 Average Pages per Book = 432 January - Goal Progress 6/3 A Brewing Storm by Richar

  11. I have to agree with this. I would save my candy from Halloween as a kid and eat it for months. I had to buy two batches of candy just to make it to Halloween this year. There is no such thing as "leftover candy" at my house.
  12. Well, the library is always a good source of books. The university library should be a good resource and usually you can get a library card for the local library too. As for book storage: Milk crates under the bed, on their side if you can would give you access to them easliy. See through tubs under the bed. Milk crates stacked in a corner (if you have a corner that they can fit in and not bother the window) just make sure you alternate them. You can take boxes and do a similar setup. Wal-mart usually will save you boxes if you ask for them to save them overnight, by the way. Or a lot of
