Hello! I'm Alanna, I'm still a little befuddled getting around the forum, but I did manage to fill out a novice form like a good kiddie. Any suggestions of where to go from here? I feel like I need a leash to guide me around, all of this stuff is so new.

Anyways, I've been a reader/fan of WoT for forever since my brother introduced me, I LOVE Mat, and I've always wanted to be an Aes Sedai of the Green. My real name IS Alanna, which makes reading the WoT interesting, because Alanna bonded Rand against his will (I feel guilty for that though I shouldn't). :) So, how is everyone?

Hi Alanna! We have an Alanna in the Blue Ajah, too. I'm Lily of the Green Ajah. I'm also the GLO, or Green Liason Officer and my job is to answer any and all questions you have about our Ajah. I love my job! Please come by and visit us when you get board access. We love visitors.

Our Ajahs here on DM are not the same in personality as the ones in the books, although the Greens are similar in many ways. So, please visit all the Ajahs and get to know them.

Awesome! Thanks for the welcome! I desperately need a distraction now, with so much stress in real life, and this seems to be the perfect answer. Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Hi there Alanna! It's great to see you found your way here, now jump in and enjoy the party!!

As a novice you should soon get access to all the private boards. Please do check out the Novice Quarters and see the stickied threads that will help you get started in your training. We also love to jump around the different Ajah boards and the like, so don't be scared to explore and discover all the wonderful ladies and gentlemen roaming around!

Oh, well I hope you enjoyed yourself on that side of the

Dragonwall....and I'll keep my eyes on you just in case

you try the tricks of your namesake Aes Sedai on me.  ;D

I'll run for a few steps at least. I may trip and fall.  ;)

Hi there Alana, welcome to the White Tower. Don't worry if it all seems overwhelming, it's been like that for all of us at first. All part of the experience and one day you'll stand here with a knowing smile of your own when a newbie comes tiptoeing around, not quite sure how things work. lol

I'm the Head of the Red Ajah and yes, we bite ;) You'll notice quite a few differences between the book Ajahs and the DM Ajahs once you gain access to the Ajah boards, so take your time getting to know them all for not a few of us ended up in an Ajah we never thought we'd join to start with.

Enjoy your time and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

*snugglebites the ickly novice*

Thanks!

First impressions: Holy Poo everyone here (from what I've seen) knows how to actually type in correct grammar. lol. I was a mod on a board a while back (a terrifying board), and they were all little kids and didn't know how to capitalize or spell or ...*cringes* not type totally in "txt typ". Woah! :) So glad there are still partially-sane people around.

Where are the sane people? I want to meet them!  ;D

I tend to go overboard when typing things out. I even spell out numbers, rather than use the number. It's a holdover from English 102 in college, I think.  :D

Yep yep ^^ It helps with the confusion when you have more than one person going by the same name. :)

We have a Charis, and a Charis jr too! :D

Well, it's more like Blue Charis and Green Charis now. ^^

Ah, fun! Gosh, never really had to be the "other Alanna" in real life until recently. Girl named Elena(pronounced the same) is a junior at my school and relatively more popular, and I'm unfortunately in a musical with her. Causes lots of confusion. We're Alanna with the "A" and Elena with the "E". haha.

I'm okay with Alanna Jr though. :) Or Novice Alanna? Whatever's simplest.

Hello! I'm a Blue Brother. The Ajah the other Alanna is from. I don't know where she is, but I'm sure she'll be around soon. Bouncing in insanely with blueberries in her mouth. *nods*

Or she might just coerce you into a Mafia game... which is taking over Dm at the moment. You should check them out. Could make a name for yaself.

Anyway, come visit the Blues, we're slightly insane and are known as the Harry Potter Ajah (Not that you NEED to be a fan, I'm not. *shrugs*) but secretly (Well, they TRY to keep it secret but anyway..) we're the Smutty Ajah, but nevermind that. Come visit us. Clothes are optionaly. Boob-berries, however are not.

Sometimes unfortunately, odd names stick. Good thing I've lived all those down. haha. Limi is good and simple though.

:) Hi there! I love Harry Potter, it's the fandom that never dies!

Alanna Jr - I thought so! Simple is best. ;D

And be wary of Boopsy.... He MAAAYYY try to get you into the Closet which sadly is off limits for novices, and accepted. Either that or his room. :D

*tickles the Boopsy Kins* he's not to bad though.
