Actually, if there is a "real" finder out there, please DON'T counterclaim.

 

It's standard procedure to un-vote a finder claimant, so ed is not in any trouble - everybody will unvote him.

 

But, if he's mafia, then this is just a classic "smoke-out" ploy, and we don't need to out our finder on day one.

 

It safe enough for the healer to cover ed tonight. Then, we'll see who dies, and that will give us info on who is scum.

I always think Pete can be scum. Love him, but you know how it goes. Bonds don't hold nor friendships when it comes to mafia. However, I know he has been quite and busy lately. When he starts posting I will know if he is scum or not. Too bad Nae wasn't in this game. It would be nice to pick on her.

David, just because someone votes for you doesn't make them scum. Day 1 is complete chaos and randomness, where people spam and throw votes around. Once someone is lynched then you can analyze votes and posts.

I love Needles! I actually considered it as a potential place to move to someday, before I decided that I wanted a bit cooler than that.

So, I personally think this is a compliment, but Min is one sneaky little scum when that is her role (although I've only got 1 game with her as confirmed scum so far haha), and I think it will be easier to find out of Ed is lying than it will be to catch Min.

I do have a valid reason for voting Ed. I want to draw your attention to part of his last post:

"they won't Min.

unless they want to seal their death warrant."

I don't know about you guys, but this sounds to me as if Ed is saying that no one is going to say that they are finders as this will therefore sign their death warrant, thereby contradicting his earlier claim as a finder. Basically, he's not the finder and Ed has slipped up and just told us that. I'm getting good at this I think! ;)

So townies I urge you not to remove your votes on Ed.

Btw rose I'm still watching you. If Ed gets lynched then you're next as I think you're likely to be mafia.

We know that there are a lot of takes on posts in this game, but I can say with confidence that solid planning always benefits the town. The truth is, gut instincts and hunches lose more games than they win - sorry, but those are the real stats.

 

So in this case, we unvote ed just in case he is the finder. Then, if he's lying, the real finder will know it tonight, and announce it in the morning. A finder for a mafia is a fair trade, especially since the healer can cover the finder.

 

So the play should be to unvote ed. The healer will cover ed, and if ed is lying then the real finder should investigate ed - just to make sure he isn't a symp - and we should know a lot more in the morning.

 

Who you vote for outside of that is up to you.

I'm not scum, I'm innocent and I'm the Dwarfen fighter, and I don't like to lie. I really don't believe Ed is a finder, if he was I wouldn't vote for him. So my vote still stands!

As far as I know I'm innocent and I also believe DPR to be innocent though again this is only a hunch.

A hunch can be either right or wrong, but I've always had good common sense and strong intuition.

David so far you are reading a lot into day one randomness. Ed is kinda dumb for a day one reveal, if he is telling the truth, but there is no proof to call him out or not yet.

Right off the bat - we don't need reveals. Revealing your role does nothing to help the town:

 

First, no Townie will believe you. Ever. Scond, If you are Town, the mafia now knows your role and can make an educated decision about whether to NK you because you are a threat, or you wind up on a list of non-threats, which helps the mafia a lot because it narrows the NK choices they have to make. This increases their chances of hitting a healer, or a finder.

 

Folks, this is a lot like driving: the rules are like a map, and the map will get you to the win. Hunches and intuition are like those tempting shortcuts Sure, sometimes they pan out, but mostly they are dead ends. Get it? "Dead ends"? heh

Thanks DPR for the tips! This is my first game so it's better to make mistakes and learn now than to make silly mistakes in other games.

As there can only be one finder(I think ::)) then you've contradicted yourself in that post. My logic is not flawed in this case otherwise you basically were wasting your time on that thread. His death scene was epic cause well, the mods were mad they lost that role. So, just cause you are pissed at me for what I did in one game think for a moment about your motives.
