*mechanical droning voice*

Ok.  Here's my problem.  I see what Nae means about not wanting to come at Wes directly, due to his accomplished ability to wordsmith the crap out of you.  Buuuut.....

*metagame alert*

......Wes has a point with that Nae is way more direct than that.  If she has solid Mod evidence, she's like a pitbull and won't let go, going directly for the jugular.

Buuuut......Lavi also made a HUGE point regarding the PMing to Pete.

Buuuut......

*another metagame alert*

It's just sad, really. Kind of like watching a fish flop around...

....THAT is Wes' mafia tell.  Plain and simple.  He'll put up a good fight initially, but resort to random remarks like that as filler before finding another angle.

So, I'm a little stuck on where to vote.  I'm inclined to agree more with Nae, but Lavi's point is holding me back.

Nae?

Modspeak - I don't know if this will make a bit of difference, but let me just say that my Disney game heated way up during night phase in this one, and I PMed Pete all the town actions and let him sort it all out. So, RESULTS at least, came from him. That is information that the town only would have had, I guess, so now the playing field is even again. I am NOT confirming or denying anything that anyone said or implied.

Very interesting re the watcher role. There's nothing to say Pete hasn't twisted the role to suit his own game, but very interesting. I'd like to see what Nae has to say about the slip and the role. Traditionally, wouldn't she target DPR and see who visited him? Unless she targeted someone else and saw DPR visit them...

Care to shed a little more light, Nae?

Ok, so I may be completely off base here, but is it at all possible that Nae and DPR are trying to split the vote?  That they are on a team together?  All the verbal sparring they are doing could just be a distraction.

Just thinking *out loud*

I was actually just thinking something similar to what Crafty just said.. I am starting to think either DPR and Nae or DPR and Aemon are on the same team. Like they are trying to fight so no one would ever think they are on the same team, even though they really are. That has been done before skillfully so, correct?

Way more often when scum, my sultry friend.

Just checked the deadline which is about 2 days from now, so no rush.

One other thing that I am wondering about...it seems odd that a Werewolf cult could recruit at night and then also cause something random to happen during the day (assuming that is what happened today which seems reasonable based on a werewolf in the TV episode involving Queen Vicky in Great Britain.)

It seems too powerful...depending on what the random event was.

If he were to turn up innocent, I don't know if I'd be chasing you or Nae first. :P

Why don't we lynch you first? If you're innocent, then we lynch DPR. If you're scum, then we lynch Nae  ;D

I got the responce from Pete.  He's the "main" mod in the game so that is who I said.  I did not have this role at the start of the game.  I was informed of it later on.  It was an "item" I apparently found after Min and Ed died.  Something to do with WHO I am and what I have.

I pmed Lily who I wanted to target for the action.  I didn't even pay attention to the fact that the mods asked us to pm certain people based on our roles when I informed you of what info I got FROM the mod.  I just went with the fact that Pete was the one who sent me the results of the action.  My saying this doesn't matter in the slightest because you will believe what you want about that but I won't ignore Lavi's question about it.

Lavi.. why is it you seem pleasant to sit on the fence for all three of us?  You vote for me, unvote, voice your suspicions of all three of us and don't really take a stand towards anyone.  Like you are staying in it but making sure to distance yourself from anyone.  It bears watching.

Not the best idea to lynch the guy who makes sense to prove that the guy who keeps lying is guilty. Not sound logic. I am keeping my eye on Lavinya. She is very vehement in her defense of Wes.

Heh now you both turn on me? Interesting. I unvoted you, Nae, because I don't disbelieve you outright, but I don't know for sure if ANY of you are guilty. I'm uncertain, so I have no vote until I am more sure. I'm not entirely sure DPR is the best candidate. I'm not defending him, I've never claimed he was innocent, I just don't know that there was enough evidence to convict him, not with seeming inconsistencies.

The more you two agree, the more you look like you're teaming up. All I did was put a little pressure on Nae for more information and to clear up questions, and that makes me scum? I don't think so.

My comment about lynching you, Aemon, was tongue in cheek. Playing devil's advocate. If you're scum, like I think you might be, it is just as logical to lynch you as it is to lynch DPR, who you think is guilty.

*shrugs* I need more convincing. Nae convinced me that she is possibly not as guilty as she appears, though she hasn't been cleared in my mind. Since when is withholding your vote a scummy action?

Since you've revealed anyway Nae, what's the harm in telling us who your character is? And what you found? Surely it could only cement your innocence. If you really are the watcher, the mafia already know who you are. Tell us who you are and you may convince the bodyguard/healer/whatever to protect you AND more firmly implicate DPR.

Cold busted:

It is a watcher type role.  I pick a name, send it in to Pete, and get told what that person did at night.  Obviously I'd pick someone like DPR... call it big game hunting but I like to know if he is innocent or not.

I pmed Lily who I wanted to target for the action.

I especially like the twist at the end where Lavi is now under suspicion.

This is exactly the kind of evidence that wins games for the town.

Lavi, you seem to be thinking "innocent until proven guilty" but I was uner the impression that mafia is played as "guilty (scum) until proven otherwise (meaning they're dead)" but, I'm new so I could be wrong..

Posted

I've already hinted at that as well Lavi dear. (And it wasn't your unvote that made you look scummy to me.. its how carefully you are circling around the three of us)

I am Dr. Who.  upon Min's death I found a piece to fit in my screwdriver thing that gave me an action.  I was then able to see what 1 person was up to last night.  I chose DPR and was told that he was busy recruiting.  I understand that the watcher role normally doesn't get that much info.  I used it in my game and they only found out that the person they targeted visited so and so.. not what they did.  However, this is Pete's game and he can do what he wishes with the roles.  You can't rely soley on what the wiki says.  Pete is known for tweaking roles to suit his own style for the games.

DPR not only did I already explain that, but I called that you would do that exact thing.  I love that you insist I'd make such a noobish error though. :-*

Adella, I'm trying to find a balance. Sometimes people seem scummy but aren't (like Ed). I don't want to lynch an innocent if I can help it. The more info we have, the more likely we are to hit scum. I think Nae, Aemon and DPR all look scummy. Maybe they all are? I doubt it though. So how do we pick out the real scum from the town? We hunt for more info and try not to lynch blindly where we can help it! That's the way I roll, anyway :)

This is such crap. WHO did you think she was going to pick?

To the real Dr. Who - do not reveal to save me - that will only be a bonus to the mafia. If my guess is correct, then you hold one of the keys to winning, so don't let Nea "smoke you out". Sure, she'll die, but the mafia will have you ...

On another note, Nae, I love you even more for doing this! It is a play befitting your level of skill. I think I might cry a little...

heh...the menage'-a-gambitrois - I love it.

I agree that they can't all three be mafia (well, they COULD, but I doubt they're THAT clever, no offense guys) but I am not going to start guess who might be innocent, I'm going to start guessing who is most likely to be scum.
