I agree that I have never see a mass role revela work, and Alys hit the nail on the head with, that is that if the Doc and finder lie, the mafia are soon going to work out who they are, especially if they aren't very good at lying or pulling those kind of things off!

 

Sometimes kivam the stuff has all been packed IN the box, leaving nothing outside ;)

I'm sure Kivam has suggested this before, but I can't think where. though it mioght have been Mynd that has tried to get everyone to role reveal before now. I just think that the Mafia gain more from it than the townies would!

Yeah i've seen both Kiv and Mynd suggest this idea before, maybe we should all tell each other what night actions we are going to do as well......that would keep the game interesting :D

I think that mass reveal idea is ridiculous. I can't think of one good reason why it might be considered a good idea by anyone. Whatever role the cop and doc choose to claim will be contested, and put them at risk. I don't want them at risk, thanks. It will lead to actual reveals, which would be dangerous. I don't see any other way it could go.  

 

One thing I've noticed is that you players from way back tend to generate a lot of posts, a lot more than we do now. That might be because many of us are in multiple games now, and we don't enjoy reading tons of posts. At any rate, I'm enjoying my little peek into things the way they used to be. We are more aggressive now, which I think Alys pointed out, too.

 

At this point, I want to vote Kivam, but I'm a little wary that he might be trying to get votes, for some reason. Calling your own lynch seems silly to me, but I don't know what else to think. I also want to vote Pandy, but that's a gut reaction based on my total disgust of evangelists in the real world. I'm trying not to let the name influence me. However, in my mind, evangelists try to get recruits to their religion, so I can't help but think recruiting must be some part of his power. All that keeps coming to me is cult leader. Could it be another name for the same role? If so, why bother to rename it? Cult leader with a twist, perhaps? My head is spinning....

The question here is, do you want a challenging game or do you want it to be easy? I like a challenge. Also, if he's just being crazy rather than evil, will you want his help later? Always a lot of posts while I'm sleeping...I see a lot of words but not a whole lot of substance. My thinking is that mafia/scum should be more scared of the role reveal than innocents, especially if we were to do as Kivam suggested and claim roles in random order. Claiming the wrong role and doubling up is always a big risk for mafia. So, in one part of my mind I'm thinking those that oppose it the loudest are probably scummy. BUT, I also think it's terrifying for townies with good roles ie doc/finder. Because, unless they want to paint themselves target red and white, they have to lie and have the same risk. Can you imagine, as the finder, claiming to be double voter, along with a mafia member, and being the one lynched?? Not cool!

 

That being said, I've never been afraid of the role reveal, no more than necessary anyway. I do wonder about your reveal pandy, and how you were suspicious of me merely for being less vocal as some but then do what looks to be a rather crazy move with your reveal.

 

I'm thinking, if Kivam really was trying to get lynched, he could do it much easier than by trying something obvious, which this role reveal seems to be to me. Mafia, in my opinion, do not ask for role reveals with any true intention of participating. Maybe only to have some unwitting townie reveal themselves. Which maybe, just maybe he was doing. I don't know. My brain wasn't built brilliantly like Sirayn's, and boy did she string me along a time or two (such happy memories! XD)...but for now I'm going with what little I have, and I'm going to vote [glow=red,2,300]Kivam[/glow]

A little bit more explanation: lets take a vote - reveal or no reveal.  Glow green.  If a majority says "reveal", then we accept that result, I'll happily go first, and the remaining 20 of you (19, since Pandy's already gone) go in whatever order Random.com determines.  

 

If the majority says no reveal, then we don't reveal.

My thoughts at the moment is that Lavinya seemed a tad off. Kivam's reveal plan seemed off.

 

But the thing is, maybe his reveal plan WASN'T off.

 

As soon as he suggested it, Alys especially (along with Talya) jumped down his throat. Now, I don't think its happening, but Kivam and Alys maybe taking us all for a ride. Or maybe Kivam just threw it out there to get a reaction, beating the grass etc.

 

Or maybe it ain't a bad idea after all...

I have read the whole Kivam thing about revealing and whatever you all decide is fine with me I am with the majority.

 

I was thinking the same thing about the evangelist Lily, only being able to recruit players who said the same thing.

 

So far this game I am suspicous of Nae, FDM, Lavinya, and Barm.

 

Those are about the only ones that are pinging my radar.
