I do believe I already mentioned we don't exactly have the same playstyles.  I'm also not exactly fighting for my life here.  Last I posted I didn't even have a vote and was merely questioning if Rey and Kivam really think I'm dumb enough to be that obvious.  I'd take more note of your vote and reasonings for it if I didn't feel it was merely a retaliation of my comments to you that you should think for yourself instead of relying on others.  It reeks of an OMGUS without me actually having voted for you first.

 

 

It's no suprise Pandy would stroll in with a vote.. he loves the drama in the games.  I'm mafia for liking banter in a game which, like barm said, everyone is doing.. but Pandy rolerevealed with NO pressure on him and just a few inquiring why he needed someone to say "I agree, Pandy".  "Hi, Pot, I'm Kettle.  You are blacker than I am."

*deep breath* I had a bit of a meltdown, and Nae helped me see that on another thread. Thanks, hon.  :-* The truth is, it's a gut vote, and they work for me. I was trying to avoid criticism, but if you all don't like gut votes (or metagaming) I'm truly sorry. They work for me, and I'll use them. It's when I try to play in my head that I get fooled. I think of everyone I've seen so far [glow=red,2,300]Pandy[/glow] is the most suspicious to me. He revealed Day 1 without needing to *if* he's telling the truth about his role which I don't believe. I think it's a nice cover-up for whatever that exchange was actually supposed to accomplish. Then he comes in and gives a random reason for voting Nae. It's the best idea for Mafia that I have at the moment.

I am happy with lynching either Barm or Kiv today. Kiv isn't pinging my radar but using my logical side he is most likely to be mafia, and Barm is pinging my radar so I am torn between my gut and my head.

I'm starting to wish I were a lot more experienced at this game. Everyone is just going back and forth. I have to say though, so far Nae is looking way too defensive to me. I mean I know she says it is just light banter, but I'm seeing way too much worry. I was mafia in my first game, and I know that kind of playing. I was in a bad situation, and I was getting defensive just like that. The whole I-don't-see-why-everyone-is-suspecting-me-I'm-just-normal-while-so-and-so-is-seeming-to-look-pretty-scummy-to-me-thing, just is way too obvious to me. So I am going to have to vote [glow=red,2,300]Nae[/glow].

I'm still not seeing the WAY TOO DEFENSIVE thing.  I am answering suspicions against me.  To be fair, Talmanes, I made very logical posts to Lily and Pandy as to why their votes don't hold much merit.  You happily skip along behind someone who pretty well admitted the vote was because she was getting stressed from too many games going at once and in retaliation for a few comments I had directed at her that have nothing to do with who is who in the game and from someone who revealed a role on day one with ZERO pressure on them and just a few inquries as to why they needed someone to agree with them. (Am I repeating myself here?)  That's why I did the pot kettle thing to Pandy.  I'm being told I'm too defensive but he popped out his role just cause someone looked at him funny.

 

Just because you, as a noob mafia, panicked when someone called you out does not mean that's what I'm doing.  I've been playing for 3 years and have been taught the game by the VERY best at it on the site and I don't do that.  I'm more defensive when I'm innocent and targeted than when I'm mafia.  I play a much more careful game when I'm mafia instead of answering (as Far would put it) every single little thing and annoyingly so.

So...you keep responding to all these comments because you're innocent? If you weren't being defensive, wouldn't you say your piece, then bite your tongue? It's going to take a lot more votes than 3 is it? - for a lynch. I understand your logic and the need to defend yourself quite strongly, especially as an innocent trying to avoid a wrongful lynch. Maybe it's just your personality shining through, that you are reiterating your point repeatedly. I don't really know. But if you were trying to persuade people that you're not being defensive, wouldn't you say it once then leave be? The louder you yell, the more people look at you, innocent or not. These things I am pondering. :)

I love actually DOING stuff in these games... I love it when it's active and I can really dive into it.  I hate when all the talkative people get killed off right off the bat because being active obviously means you are scum.... I always keep my mouth shut and last to close to the end of the game and die at endgame or shortly before.  It is nice to last to the end but it's usually boring because everyone kills off the active people and theres no one to talk to.  So this game I'm being active and responding to stuff.  When I get like this I tend to die early but at least I'm actually here and playing the game instead of watching and barely commenting.  I'll repeat it til I'm blue in the face that I wouldn't be this carefree about posting all over the place (but not spam since it's game related) if I was mafia.  I would be careful in my posts and try to ride it out instead of just diving in.  Maybe you people will get that when I'm dead and you discover I'm not mafia.  I kinda doubt it because I have to go over this again and again in every game I'm very active in.

Well you are kind of proving my point by getting even more defensive so...yeah.

And I may be new to mafia on here, but that doesn't mean I'm an idiot.

Also I never said I panicked, considering that I did not. I was perfectly calm the whole time. I won't go into details though since the game is still going. All I said is that when I was suspected I tried to defend myself while pushing the blame on someone else, and that is what I am seeing in you to some extent. The amount of time you have played really is not relevant. Trying to defend yourself when suspected, is common sense.

And I don't know why you think I am tagging along with someone, but I can assure you I am not. I do not even pay attention to how everyone else is voting most of the time. I read the content of the post and make educated decisions on it. So far you seem the most logical choice so I voted for you. If someone else comes across as more suspicious than you, I will change my vote. But until then my vote remains the same.

And as a side note trying to make me look bad because I'm new won't affect my vote at all in either direction. I won't hold it against you, but I also don't like you using that as an excuse to try to discredit my comments. Of course it is a game, so like I said I won't hold it against you.

Oh and by the way I do agree that Pandy's move was pretty dumb, but it sounds like he is town, and if I am correct in my hunch is probably immune to being night killed now that someone said his phrase. This seems more stupid than scummy to me.

Wait...I thought the quiet ones were scummy? I have no qualms with you posting often, I agree, the more active we are the more we can discover. I was commenting on the reiterating of the one point of not being defensive. Not looking to argue here, just pointing out my observations. I believe the phrase I used was WAY TOO DEFENSIVE.  I'm being told I'm panicking and being WAY TOO DEFENSIVE.  I'm not panicking at all.  I just love the banter.  As I already said.  I'm starting to wonder if anyone is reading my posts at all cause I feel like I'm constantly repeating myself.

 

If I'm lynched I'm lynched.  Someone's gotta go.  Do I wanna be?  No.  I'm enjoying playing with Barm and Far and Alys again.  I'd rather lynch some scum thats lying low and lurking.

 

The quiet ones ARE scummy.  Rule of thumb in mafia...anything you do is suspicious to someone and can be considered scummy.  Too quiet?  Scum!  Too talkative?  Scum!  Don't defend yourself?  Scum!  Defend suspicions tossed at you?  Scum!  Just talkative enough to not be lurky but not draw much suspicion on yourself?  Scum!  Helpful to other players? Scum!

 

 

Talm I wasn't trying to make you look bad cause you are new.  I was reiterating to your comment that my actions are like you did WHEN you were new.  I read " my first game as mafia" not I'm still IN that first game.  Your comment was saying "thats something I did as a noob".  That's why I said I'm a little more seasoned than to "panic" just cause I've got votes.  I don't tend to do that and those saying I am haven't played many, if any, games with me.  Yet you think you have me pegged. I did not mean to offend you by saying you aren't a good player just cause you are new but your comment kind of offended me with saying I'm making a noobish mistake with  arguing the insanity of this entire thing based on my scarcastic responce to Rey.  Followed, I repeat, by a vote from Pandy, who got defensive and revealed before anyone even FOS'ed him, Lily, who voted for me mostly because I was giving her a hard time about thinking for herself and she admitted to breaking down a bit in the games because of being in alot at once, and you.. who at least are actually voting for me for how im playing instead of in retaliation or for doing the exact same thing they are doing.

 

Do what you gotta do.  But please, for the love of God, when you see I'm not mafia upon my death or even team with Barm then realize in future games when I'm more vocal like this IM NOT BLOODY SCUM.
