WOT: Seanchan Succession Mafia - Game Over - Town Wins!

Rumours that have been creeping for decades have begun flying about like moths at a candlelit window.  The more foolish whispers claim the Corenne will begin next year.  Those who are wiser or can read the signs know it will be longer, but none know when.

 

The latest rumours speak of increased activity in the ship yards of Shon Kifar and Rampore.  When the Voice of the Throne announced that the Empress would make a progress to Shon Kifar jockeying among the Blood began to be included on the trip.  In the end 300 of the Blood including 5 princes and princesses made the journey with the Empress.  The day after the arrival at Shon Kifar the Empress and her followers made their way to the main ship yard where ships in various stages of completion lay in dry dock.  Gathering before the largest hull, which was half finished at best, the Empress gave a stirring speech on the Corenne.  Then, turning, she gestured at the Deathwatch guards gathered around the vessel which is to serve as the flag ship of the Hailene.  They complete the traditional ritual sacrifice of a goat for good luck and anoint the ship with the goat's blood.  The Empress then proclaims that the Corenne will begin seven years from that day.  A mighty cheer arose from the assembled throng.  In celebration, an elite squad of precision flying raken, towing banners displaying the golden hawk and lightning bolt, flew over the crowd.

 

The return trip to Seandar was marked by groups of the Blood gathered in whispered conversations.  During the day the royal children held themselves aloof from the other Blood, but at night their tents were hives of activity.  It was known that one them would accompany the main fleet in support of the Hailene.  That one would be the Empresses' favourite.  Now was the time to start earning that coveted spot.

 

Shortly after arriving in Seandar Tuon's household was woken by a scream.  In the reception hall of Tuon's residence a dead da'covale is found; killed by a sword cut to the neck.  Outside the open front door the two Deathwatch guards at the front door are also found dead.  A clumsy attempt on Tuon's life has been thwarted.  Tuon knows it must have been one of her siblings trying to clear the way for their assention to the throne.

RULES:

6. If you cannot reach a majority by the end of the day, I will randomly kill someone who has not placed a vote (unless they have posted a LOA).  If everyone has voted and there is no majority there will be no lynch.

7. Please respond to your PM confirming that you have received it before posting in the thread.  You may send in your own death scene if you are feeling creative.

8. Rules are subject to change as needed.  I'm the Mod... I reserve that right.  I'm more than happy to have newer players and will help where I can.  Be prepared for a PAFO though.

9. Above all remember that this is just a game... HAVE FUN!!!!  Grin

9b. Once you are lynched you are allowed one "Bah!" post.  It must not have any game information in it.

9c. You must unvote before changing your vote.

 

FYI

10. A few of the roles in this game are named characters from the book.  Many, however, are Seanchan roles like Da'covale or Voice etc.  As a result I have included a line in your role PM that says "Seanchan Role" or "Seanchan Job" that will say Da'covale etc. in lieu of a name.

11. "You win when all threats to the Town have been eliminated" is something a lot of people will have read in their role PMs.

Day 1 will last about 4 days unless a majority lynch happens first.  Which reminds me...the day ends with the lynch vote.

 

Deadline: Sunday at 9:00 PM EST.  (If ABSOLUTELY necessary I can extend the deadline to Monday if people are not posting on the weekend.  But I'd rather not.   ;))

 

With 16 players it takes 9 to lynch.

What do you mean by weekends are half-days?

I believe it means that a weekend does not count as two full days, like RL time. Because people are around less on the weekend, a weekend only counts as half a day. Does that make sense?

I think...each RL weekend day is a half day? So like, Jeran said this first day phase will be four days, but it's not ending until Sunday night (which, in RL time, is actually more like 5 days). I think. But Jeran should confirm this, because I'm not 100% sure ;)

Alanna is correct. When I count up the days to figure out the deadlines I count weekends as a half day to account for reduced availability of players.

 

So, for game day 1 Wed, Thu, Fri are 3 days while Sat and Sun are a half day each bringing the total to 4 game days.
