I really, really like Lie to Me's opening sequence.  Great music and it never gets old because I'm always watching the expressions people show.

But nothing on telly today comes even close to Twin Peaks.

As much as I enjoy Heroes, I have to ask how exactly it got onto that list? Its barely an intro at all.

Lost and Heroes have opening title sequences? They just have title cards.

 

And yeah, True Blood is an absolute no-brainer. The song is excellent and the way it's used is superb. The only problem is that it seems to set up the show as being much darker and dirtier than it actually is, and doesn't reflect the show's very self-aware silly side.

 

Of all time, Twin Peaks is a good choice, as is the original Battlestar Galactica (awesome fanfare). Doctor Who is a classic as well. The Wire's opening theme tune was also great, with a different cover version every year. Season 1's was probably the best.

I'd vote for Doctor Who - every version of the theme since 1963 is cool, but my favorite one is the 2005 version as I only discovered the series with the 2005 version.
