Wouldn't it be funny if.....

That would be halarious poetic justice ;)

I don't see it as working that way, though. LTT and Rand are two parts of the same soul. I think there is some debate about it, but it always seemed to me that Rand being able to hear LTT was a result of Rand's mind being damaged by the taint. But LTT is still a part of his soul, if the souls were swapped LTT would go with Rand, I just imagine that his connection to him would be disrupted by Moridin having a functional brain where Rand's was messed up by the taint.

What if they all ended up together after the bodyswap/merge? Moridin would love that, doing Rands head in from the inside.

Rand: Min, I-

Moridin: *coughing fit*

Rand waits patiently.

Rand: Min I lo-

Moridin: Lalalaaaa lalalaaa la la laaa la laaaa

Rand: Now isnt a good time, Min. Come back later.

Min: Okay. I love you

Rand: I lo-

Moridin: Boooooo! Booooo!

Lmao, nice dialogue there.  I don't really understand the whole body swap theory...people think Rand will get Moridin's body?  That would be kinda....not cool.  I'm still hoping for something along these lines:

Elayne is about to be killed

Because Elayne looks like Ilyena, LTT takes control

LTT takes a shot for her and his portion of Rand's soul dies and he rests easy thinking he saved Ilyena

I dunno, something like that would be cool.  'His blood on the rocks of Shayol Ghul' was never enough to convince me ANYBODY has to die, especially because Robert Jordan never kills off good characters.  Lews Therin though?  I could see him dying for the cause somehow.

Lews Therin & Rand have the same soul. Moridin has another one.

Yet we dont know the extent of their merging. If its a bodyswap, Rand has a new brain that might not be as damaged as his own. If its a true merge, then who knows what will happen? Rand might have Moridin and Lews Therin together, trying to take over.

If the body swap theory became true, I would not consider it funny either.  Nor do I consider the theory funny.

If anything swaps, I think it would be just the heads since the head seems the only body part of Rand that gets affected.

I only wonder what the saa and the taint have in common, and what the differencies are. Would the taint follow Rand's soul to Moridin's body? If not, then could it be that Rand would become instantly cured from voices of the LTT incarnation? On the other hand, I really don't think that Moridin could end up with LTT.

Several people seem to dislike the bodyswap very much. I can't understand why.

I like the idea, I think it is a good ending to the Dragon Reborn versus Nae'blis sideline and a worthy resolution to Rand merging with someone.

I dont think its the only possibility though. Look at Luc and Isam, two different men bound into a shared existence. One doesnt work against the other, they are the same. If Rand merged with Moridin and could switch to Moridin like Isam switches to Luc, it would be very interesting.

There are those that think Rand and Lews Therin will merge consciousnesses but I disagree with that as I believe Lews Therin is still dead, and a dead man cant die again IMO. He has to be alive.

The body swap theory is interesting, and there's certainly enough precedence in the series. But Luc wasn't originally bad (that I remember) and Isam was. Does that mean that Isam subsumed Luc's nature or that Luc was turned?

Unless Rand's whole view of working with the DO is changed or he is overpowered by Moridin, I don't see such a combination in one body being a good relationship. But I do like the idea of Rand and LTT kicking Moridin (figuratively) all over inside of the head.
