IT'S INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!!! (Closing Ceremony)

[Moghedian]

Moghedian shuffles various Aes Sedai, Novices, Accepted and the occasional Warder through the door of the Celebration Tent where they are escorted to various tables by the waiters from the Phoenix Lounge...

 

Once everyone is seated she takes the stage at the front of the tent and peers down at everyone with a mischievious smile and taps a nearby glass with a spoon. ::)

 

"Welcome to the closing ceremony of the inaugural International Women's Week. Throughout the past week we have celebrated what it means to be a woman by hosting quizzes, creating banners, writing profiles for women who we find truly inspirational and generally enjoying our own awesomeness ;D As today is International Women's Day it is time to announce the winners of some of the competitions we have been having and mention the women who have been sponsored in the 'Remarkable Women' thread." :)

 

"Firstly, the winner of the banner competition. The theme was to sum up your pride in being female in a banner. The winner was this one by Claireducky!  Congratulations!"  :D

Gesturing to two of the waiters Moghedian grins as they unravel the banner.

 

The next competition was the quiz. We had approximately 20 entries for this and 4 people tied for second. The answers will be up in the Quiz thread shortly. The winners of the quiz with 100% of the answers correct was...

Finally, the women who we felt deserved to be celebrated today because of the amazing and inspirational lives they lived...

This was a wonderful event, Red Ajah!  It was a lot of fun to participate in and it reminded me of why I am glad to be a part of this group of women (and men dressed as women!), because you are all awesome!

 

And as for the banner and quiz...wow!  I didn't think I got all the quiz answers right!  I guess my luck at 'testing well' as in high school has carried over.  ^^  Thanks again for hosting this, wonderful reds!
