I'm suprised the rabbit wasn't mentioned
That part will be played by Shaidar Haran.
An Eyeless bunny? Cute or sickening? Pet or monster?

Some of may be aware that RJ planned to write Outrigger novels. What you may not be aware of is what they were meant to contains. The plot concerns a young man who grows up, and whose life parallels Rand's. From being born on the wrong mountain, to his eventual death, while being encourged to look on the bright side of life. One of the more famous events of his life will be an act of graffiti, intended to tell a the Seanchan to go home, but a passing officer corrects his grammar. His mother will also tend a group of his followers that he's not the Dragon Reborn, he's a very naughty boy.

As to how A Memory of Light Tarmon Gai'don: The Musical will end, it will also include the following: 12 Chosen dying, 11 countries burning, 10 monarchs a-ruling, 9 traitors betraying, 8 ladies sniffing, 7 Ajahs unifying, 6 Gholams killing, 5 men a-snorting, 4 skirts a-smoothing, 3 ta'veren winning, 2 arms a-folding (beneath breasts, of course), and the Dark One getting his arse kicked.

We are the Aes Sedai who sniff.  Anger us, and we shall sniff at you.  *sniff* *sniff*

And to counter that we have the Asha'man, of course. Remember that scene at Dumai's Wells, when Taim addresses Kiruna, Bera, Alanna, et al? The original, unedited version was "Ni'eel, or you'll be Ni'eeled!"

As for 'How would you end AMOL?" - there can be only one answer - the last line in the book will be the following:

I WIN AGAIN, AND FART IN YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION, LEWS THERIN!

Sounds like a party, where do i buy a ticket?
Invitation only. You're not invited.

Don't worry, aptl, there'll be an alternative party, in the Tower of Ganja; and you won't have to buy any tickets, you'll just have to answer three simple questions:

  • What is your favourite Ajah colour?
  • What was the capital of Coremanda?
  • What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen Draghkar?

The final chapter details the defeat of the shadow.  And then there's the epilogue.  In the epilogue, you get the wind and a scene like the opening of the Bore, Ishamael visiting Lews Therin, or Rand seeing the Myrdraal.  Now that would run true to form.

Along that same line of thinking, you know how kids form a line at the end of a game and walk toward each other giving high fives?  How about the two sides in this Fisher game doing the same?  By then, we should know who will walk in which line (Light or Shadow).  ;D

Easy the answer is 42!!

and the end should be Fain unmasked as the DO saying "i would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids" :D

How would I end AMOL?

The armies are camped, it's dawn. Rand and Moridin make their way to the summit of Dragonmount for a pre-battle meeting.

The mist starts to lift... two figures emerge. One turns left, one turns right. The one that turns left realises he can't get out that way, has to turn right, runs a little to catch up with the big-eared one who turned right to start with. Sunlight glints off incredibly white teeth.

The figures emerge into the light.

George Dubya and Tony Blair approach Rand and Moridin.

Moridin's head drops, his shoulders slump. Rand siezes the power to better see who approaches... "Oh, for f$ck's sake... we could be here a while..."

I really think it's going to have Min dying. You can pretty much find every main character mentioned in some prophecy or dream or whatever. The only time I can remember her being even slightly referred to is her and two others standing over Rands cold dead corpse in a boat. Even then, nothing names her there.

*claps* Nice.

A Westlands Draghkar, or a Seanchan Draghkar?
Huh? Everyone knows that Seanchan Draghkars are extinct!
Oh no they're not... They are, however, non-migratory. Thus they cannot provide a satisfactory answer to the question of where the coconuts came from.

WHAT?  I DON'T KNOW THAT! AUUUUUUUUGH!

We may never know the origins of coconuts, but an aginorish scientific guess regarding the reason why the Myrddraal can't reproduce may help.

Why would RJ let it slip out that Nynaeve is in the final scene?  I think he wanted us to ponder it for a good long while, come up with every possible ending, and all of us be wrong.  Then, we could really enjoy his.

Thinking along that line, what really far out yet appropriate ending could he have had in mind way back when Nynaeve was still Wisdom?  A full circle.  She started as Wisdom of Emond's Field.  Smug.  Satified. Self-assured.  Through the series she has overcome her block and grown to be one of the most powerful channelers in Randland.  She is married to an uncrowned king.  Our logical conclusion would be for her to do something really grand or spectacular to end AMoL.  I think that RJ will surprise everyone and have her look at the boys and decide that maybe she didn't need to drag them home by their shirt collars after all.  Instead, she'll whisper something into Lan's ear, he'll smile a warm smile, and they'll head off for Emond's Field with her wondering if they'll give her back her old job.

I'm hoping that she'll end up with Lan's bond or with him totally free of any bond whatsoever...they've earned it.  He would act the same toward her without any bond, anyway.

Just too far fetched?  We'll see.  :)

  • 1 month later...

he shall break the world again by his coming, tearing apart all ties that bind

All bonds removed? Maybe too literal an interpretation but possible.

I favour the "I win again Lews Therin" ending. Perhaps spoken by Taim.

The wheel has turned and ages have come and passed. It was not the ending. There are neither endings nor beginnings to the turning of the wheel of time. But it was an ending.

I like the idea of the wheel going full and the symmetrythis ending provides it. Of course before that Rand would have to have won the last battle in some phyrric manner akin to Lews Therin and the glorious companions. I suppose he'd be crying over his "Poor Elayne" before the end as well.

Moridin screams, "I have the power!!"

Then Rand yells back, "To infinity and beyond!"

Faile howls "Puppies!!!!"

Aviendha repeats incessantly "There's no place like home."

Then Seth McFarlane decides that the cutscenes are enough and Peter tells Lois that Stewie and Brian are in the kitchen trying on her dresses.

The end.
