It is down to luck, because according to the rules the day ended already. The day ends either when time ends or a majority is reached, whichever comes first, and 5 have already voted for JLM, it cannot be undone anymore. We can only hope the decision was right.

That actually isn't stated anywhere on the first page. If the vote changes before Far calls it, why not allow it as long as the original deadline's not past?

Sorry, but a no lynch basically hands the mafia a free night kill.  We gain nothing...not even info, and we lose one of us that way.  If we went no lynch, then I would have had no choice but to heal myself and they know this.  There is no chance of success in a no lynch, one of us would have been killed....guaranteed.

 

On the other hand, we stand to gain a LOT with the lynching of JLM.....here are the two scenarios:

 

1) JLM is innocent.  If so, then you know I will heal myself and therefore one of the other remaining innocents will suffer an NK, thus winning the game for the Mafia.  Of course...I can always heal someone else and keep them guessing.....but how different is this outcome from a no lynch? 

 

2) JLM is mafia.  Not only have we taken out one of the three, but it then becomes obvious who the other two Mafia are.  Lorelie and Nae.  I would really like to hear your reasons for not lynching JLM.  We then try and survive the night and take out Lorelie the following day.  We will have gone from up the creek to rollin down the river! 

 

The smart choice is to lynch JLM!

I have no reasons for not lynching JLM. All I ever said was I had MORE reason to lynch Loki. And I still think I do. JLM may be Mafia or she may be innocent. All I know is, you won't or can't tell us any reasons why we should lynch her. You are Mynd trippin' us. Both Loki and JLM are probably innocents. That's the only way your ploy would work. I think. As I've said, I don't have much experience with Mafia.  :-\

Mynd..  I was not here all day.. I do have a life outside of DM.  If that makes me mafia then lynch me.  You are getting annoying with the unmerited accusations.  You don't even make sense and are pointing fingers at everyone.  I'd unvote and vote for a no lynch but I don't see that it would make a difference at this point as JLM seems to be good as gone.

I must say, I do not understand this:

At least two of these people are innocents, yet they voted for a lynch that had no basis.

I thought that Verbal put in a good performance early on. He made some really good calls for Mafia, but nobody listened, or went back to read what he had posted. Losing Daet early on was an upset to the innocents, but with Naeann there you 'should' have been just fine.

 

Advice: LISTEN to the people more experienced than you! Loki's No Lynch at the end of the game was such a Mafia-tell that I couldn't believe you didn't pounce on him. Nobody suggests a No Lynch that late in the game, when any information is good information. Especially since the likelihood that Mynd was going to heal the right person that night was what...1 in 8? Not good odds.

 

Other thoughts: For those who have played with Moggy (and I know a few of your have), she was waaaay too quiet this game. Huge mafia ping. This gal is usually bouncing off the walls with helpful insight or just random activity. When people act differently than they normally do, and you know beforehand there aren't any sort of posting restrictions, chances are there is a reason. ;) Of course there is always the possibility that she is just busy, but it showed in the quality of her posts.

 

And Mynd...MYND! Dude, you need to justify your accusations hun. And not throw the finger. You gave Loki the perfect ally in this, and he didn't even have to work for it.

 

Good job though guys, I hoped that everyone learned something! :D

Well, thanks to all who played, this was a good game, and we really had you tearing each other up.

 

Tactics, well first to get in the game and establish no real connections with Loki and Moggy, after the first day we were well camouflaged. Myself, I was a newbie, so I had to play the newbie too, take advantage of not appearing too bright. Just kind of blend into the game like a newbie would, first exited, then it fades a little and then seriousness. Loki suggested Dae which was a good kill and onto the second day we were still completely hidden. Since it was possible to get rid of verbal, that was good, though couldn't help loki more or we'd risk becoming targets for lynch.

 

I had actually spotted Clim as a possible finder on day one, and day two pretty much confirmed it for me. Just looking at what he said, well i couldn't say I knew he was, but I thought he was. Combining that with defending Loki, he was a good kill. Clim was otherwise a good person to kill, to add to the appearance that the mafia was really not interested whether loki or verbal was killed, and all the people who could be lynched instead of loki remained. It was to be expected JLM, Naean and Loreina might not change their minds, but they were a minority and we hidden. Lynching one of them would have been dangerous, and I for one suspected JLM of being healer since she was so vocal.

 

On day three we pretty much created the situation that loki was not the primary suspect, when it was clear luthine would not get lynched we crushed in on JLM. Mynd was another option to try to lynch, but it would have been more risky especially since he claimed to be healer, the dagger could turn.

 

Mynd was very helpful, we could not think to kill him and leave JLM, Naean and Loreina alive. Had we missed with Naean, the game would have become more difficult, but this time it would have been Mynd or Loki who was lynched, by at need sacrificing Loki I think Moggy and I would still have stayed hidden. Naeann was chosen because we didn't think Mynd thought he would be on the line.

I did notice Mogy's unusual quietness, but I chalked it up to her being busy.  With Mynd jumping up and down in front of me I didn't see anyone else.  I was sure about loki though.  I wish Nae had been on more during 3, we might have been able to talk mynd off his ledge.

I'll admit i was annoyed to crash out so early but it was due given how many i've recently survived.

 

Having found out who the Mafia were after some initial wrong feelings, i've gotta say well done to Loki for that. The No Lynch finish would have had me number crunching and jumping on you so fast, but i was already dead. Lucky :P

 

Moggy's inactiveness (and the fact she wasn't killed for being inactive) should have been spotted but it's one for the future guys. That's for anyone who's normally active. Inactives are dodgy in a game - they give the Mafia an easy kill which gives no info, and roled players can hide in them. Keep an eye everyone

 

Mynd - well congratulations on the activity, but just be very very careful about it. Drawing too much attention is always a problem (one i'm so often guilty of) and when your such a powerful role...

 

Still i hope everyone got experience out of this. Thanks to FDM for the modding and see you all in the next game  ;)

I can't believe Loki didn't get lynched after I died.  And Dae, I'm right there with you when he posted the "no lynch" thing.  I was yelling at my screen "He just proved it!"  "Lynch him now!".  Lorei called it out, but nobody backed her.  :'(  That reminds me, great instincts Lorei!!!

 

Moggy & GFav - you guys played well, and did a good job of staying hidden.  *tips hat*

 

Loki - great game!  I'm still bummed that my fellow innocents let you off the hook, but oh well.  You totally outplayed me when we were arguing.  I'm going to learn from this.  I will be back!

 

Mynd - Ok, you need to stop accusing people so quickly.  FDM is right, you were the mafia's best friend.  You must have pointed out you were POSITIVE on about 5 different people, in a game with only 3 mafia, lol.  It's awesome that you were active, but be careful you don't do the mafia's work for them!

Is NO ONE going to say good job, Nae.... you had Loki spotted from almost DAY ONE.  And the only one to believe me was JLM. I was relentless on continuing to keep my vote on him.  Thank's for the extra point for that FDM. ;) Least someone was paying attention.
