Basically this is a revitalization of our netflix post that seems to have disappeared from the boards (probably in the crossover).  Basically if you netflix something, rent something or watch a movie on your TV, let us know how it was.  Your posts have been immensely beneficial at least to me in deciding what the next thing I have netflix send me.

Primer:  I got this based on the suggestion of Seanchan members and thought the movie was very good.  Yes, it was a little raw and you could tell it wasn't operating on a big budget (I think I read it was made on 7K) but the movie was very thought provoking and still left me with questions.  I will probably need to revitalize the conversation just to discuss the ending.

Ghost Rider:  HORRID!  The directing and acting were terrible.  Not worth a rental.

Disturbia:  Actually a pretty good remake of Rear Window.  It wasn't the best movie I have seen lately, but it was better than I thought it would be and that is all I can ask of it.  The story did a great job on building on itself and kept me interested.

I got these movies in today,

Fracture

Letters from Iwo Jima

Black Snake Moan

So i'll let you know how they are tomorrow or sometime this weekend.

I've had Black Snake Moan on my queue for 2-3 months!!! So I'm going to watch and enjoy it, even if it sucks! :P

I'll just go over some movies I saw recently...

Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

Monty Python's Life of Brian:

^------^

Are both great movies, Holy Grail > Brian. Its great for when you've seen everything you've wanted to see, or are patiently waiting for things to get off of 'very long wait' status. :P

Reno 911!: Miami:

While it follows a similar format as the tv show, It still has its laughs, + some very funny scenes. Probably the funniest scene involves the Rock, A Gernade, and think of Steven Segals Death scene in that one movie. :P (you know, where he died 5 minutes in, and it was his BEST performance of all his movies. :P)

The Hills Have Eyes 2:

Meh, Standard horror blood and gore flick, the first one was alright, because as a remake they did a 'good job' compared to the orginal 'omg hillbilly's attack!' movie.. But the second just over killed it..

I mean, okay, you'd think cannablistic mutants vs military would be fun to watch, maybe get high deaths on both sides, but these aren't normal military, these are incompotent 'teens' (well mroe like in there late 20's) who basically failed there iraq training, so they got stuck with shipping something to 'the hills'. Needless to say they get slaughtered, and just when you think 'wow, okay finally they are sticking together, not splitting up, they might do something and survive! they get retarded and just fall along the same ol' path, like half way through the movie the director realized.... "sh!t!, if they actually stick together, this movie can't end with only 2 people living of the 'good guys'!! aight, /tosses in some stupid and everyone dies!".

Evil Dead

Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn

Both are GREAT and funny horror flicks, if you have not seen em, watch em!

Night Watch

Interesting concept of a movie, but its one that if you look away, you might miss something, and even then you have to pay close attention or you'll be left going, huh?

Pathfinder

Action adventure movie, about vikings who came to north america and raped/pillaged every town they came across in an attempt to 'cleanse the land'. The story centers around a boy who was the son of the leader of those vikings, and was 'abandoned' for not wanting to kill one of the natives....

He was then later raised by the native americans and later he helped get rid of the vikings from the land...

All in all the movie was pretty good, Worth a watch if nothing more then to watch a bunch of vikings get there asses handed to them, not that the NFL vikings need that much help....

Hot Fuzz

Easilly the funniest movie this year! I'm not sure if its better or worse then Shaun of the dead, but its pretty damned funny! Watch it! Great for laughs, and the ending will go, wow!? I was WAayyyy off.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

I've done a short review to this already, I don't know if i'd recommend it or not, but its in the 'bizzare' category.

The Number 23

Probably one of jim carrey's better non serious roles. Its alright, but its not the best movie ever made.

The World's Fastest Indian

This is a great movie! Worth a watch! Though I say that about any movie with hannible the cannible. :D

Primeval

Very standard cliche mega monster movie, even though its based on a true story, the plot is very predictable.

Blood and Chocolate

I did not like this one at all, while the 'werewolf' version was unique, I simply think it sucked.

The Fountain

This is a very detailed movie, you have to watch it very very carefully, go away for 5 minutes and you can easilly miss a very important key to the plot!

The Hitcher

Standard horror/blood/gore film, but the ending was rather unique in the fact that I didn't expect one of the characters who got killed, to die. :P

Though the ending could have been alot better.

I watched Accepted on recommendation from fellow Seanchan members.  The movie was ok and had a few moments that were funny, but overall it seemed like a movie I had seen many times before.

I like a lively debate somtimes... and I respect different opinions... but to say Ghost Rider was as a good as Xmen....

Let me go into more detail on why I disliked the movie...

I sometimes rate a movie by how good the villains are.... because they are the source of the conflict of the movie.  The Elemential baddies were a joke.  Earth monsters rams a truck into GR (his special power is driving it seems), thinks it works and GR jumps out and chains him up.  Earth monsters screams like a little sissy and dies.  Water monster's special ability is to...errr...swim or something.... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.  GR deals with him in seconds.  For the wind monster, GR makes a tornado out of his chain.  LAME!  I am sure Mephesto was laughing that GR took out these lamo demons because they must have been the worst demons in hell.

The movie totally lost me when Blackheart and Blaze square off like in a western and the director thought it a good idea to zoom in on the eyes... like some cheesy spagetti western.  AWFUL!

Anyway, X-men was totally better.
